Long story short depression has been kicking my ass and I haven't been able to enjoy our hobby in nearly a year but I just cleaned/primed my first model in ages and I just want to know if it's OK? If there's something I'm doing wrong please say, and all tips are welcome.
I missed some mould lines which the primer really showed up, and it looks a little rough, or is that normal? It's only when I zoom in massively really. Just looking at the model normally it seems fine. I'm wondering if it'll be better or worse with paint on it?
It's a brand new can of Army Painter Grey, I let it sit in warm water for 3 minutes then shook it for 2 minutes. I sprayed inside at 10" in short bursts.

Not sure, can't really tell from the pics. I have this mini in a box, if I open it I'll take a look and see if there's any texture. Normally AP goes on smooth unless it's cold or humid for me.

Yeah I mean it doesn't look super bad to me, but not 100% smooth (is 100% smooth even possible?). I did everything by the book. Priming did show some ugly mould lines though so I'm going to try and fix it tomorrow.

Looks fine to me. A prime is a prime.. I don't even do any prep, just shake my can for a few seconds then spray. Doesn't even really matter if you don't get full coverage as long as most of it it covered, and the other bits at least have a little, who cares? It's getting covered by paint anyway.

What's the mini made from?
Looking at the joining patches/ mold lines it looks like a vinyl miniature and will never prime the best, I have had success with halfords grey plastic primer
