Well, after 4.5 years on and off (with a lot of off) I'm finally calling this finished (unless I spot anything I've missed or decide to tweak something). Been quite a project with my opinion of how it's going shifting quite a lot, probably spent too long worrying about tiny issues that go completely unnoticed on the final model and also seemed to spend a lot of time painting details on the body that can't really be seen now it's all assembled but I'm pleased with the result and pleased to have finally finished it, but think I'll be doing something smaller next!

Thanks, I am pretty pleased with how it turned out overall.

It was very much on and off over those 4.5 years, taking a quick look at the pictures I took during the build\paint, although I started on the assembly in 2015 there was quite a break and I didn't start heavily on the painting till the summer of 2018 and even then it would often have just been an hour or two at the weekend, with occasional bouts of more intense work on weeks off and the like, too easily distracted by other projects!

First, congrats on bringing this ‘child’ to life; that size is still a bit intimidating for me.

Good: solid airbrushing on the armor plate to make them not look flat; caution stripes on the door; weathering on the interior; heating residue on the weapons.

Area that could be better: more contrast on the backside, could use silver edging and black soot powder in the crevasse; heavy weathering on the feet/vents, right now it looks too clean.

How and where did you pin/magnetizing the Titan for easy transport and storage?

There is a reasonable amount of weathering on the toes and feet themselves, I have been considering some dust\dirt around the lower leg armour panels as well, and maybe some blackening around some of the gun vents and barrel ends, though I imagine the main vents on top as just being heat outlets so not necessarily dirty (and don't fancy trying heat discolouration). Though I'm always a little worried about getting carried away with weathering!

I think the angle of the light on the back washes out some of the contrast, all the metal areas have received a fairly heavy coat of black\brown oil paint which is still concentrated in the recesses, if anything I thought it might have been a bit much but I guess not.

Magnetization wise, the two arms are magnetized as are the shields, the head is on a pin which holds it firmly enough but allows removal to take the top off (or swap it if I buy one of the alternates) though if it gets looser over time I may add a magnet as well, the carapace guns are just slotted in place but they tilt ever so slightly forward so again may add magnets in the future just to keep them exactly level. The waist uses the standard socket but with a piece of brass rod in the centre that goes an inch or so up into the body just to make it more secure.

I've always been a sucker for painted and detailed interiors, even if you almost never see them. It's really an "ooooh, aaaahhhh" moment when you show someone the inside of a painted rhino or land raider.

Heck, even as a kid, when I made LEGO space ships, I always did detailed interiors!

The only interior on the Warlord is the head unfortunately (unlike the Reaver which has a fully detailed interior in the body), when I was talking about painting bits that weren't seen I was just referring to stuff on the outside of the body which is pretty much hidden behind the armour panels when it all goes together. I did actually consider scratch building an interior as the body is completely hollow, but think it might have been difficult to build it with a removable top while still keeping the body strong enough to support the arms!

Great job - your attention to detail really shows. Little touches like the chipped paint on the footrests under the Princeps.

Wow, that's a shame for such an expensive piece, although I can understand why seeing the carapace/hull design has much more going on than the Reaver and Warhound.

Could I get a couple of close up snaps on the panels with writing on, just difficult to see the real detail from the overall shot! You obviously spent some time on this so would definitely be great to see a close up of the finished details!
