He finally arrived last monday.

In pretty bad shape.

Now this is probably the most detailed and glorious feeling model i've ever seen - lets get that said right now. So I'ma try and use this as my first model plog - since I imagine not a lot of people know about Him.

He arrived very very squished in a blister pack that was clearly too small, in a number of zip lock bags with too little space. The first casualty was the (gorgeous) cape which snapped into 3 pieces, one of which is now lost
Casualty the 2nd is the eagle's wing on his chest armour, which isn't quite as bad.

Besides that, the non-flamey sword I was *totally* going to use, honest guv, snapped at the hilt ,and his shouty face hair slightly chipped.

So this is not going to be the easiest model i've done. Let's see what happens

Dry fit!

The talons take 1mm steel perfectly which is nice.

The eagle has interchangeable left legs, so he can fly on his own or perch on the talon as shown.

The mount point for the legs is either badly stretched or just straight up misaligned, his legs have pinged right off the base twice now. Sawed the pegs off and put magnets in instead.

Snap on the cape is bad but recoverable, first pass with the green stuff to hold it together, along with some pins. Remains to be seen how clean a break I can cover up ;\

With him looking right the broken hair doesn't matter so much, might leave as is since thep auldrons are phenomenally large.

Found the left shoulder's drapery things have chipped, so will need to be careful there~

Hope is renewed, but took a looong time, even with an air powered drill.
