Really simple, just a base coat of grey acrylic paint and then some burnt umber drybrushed on.
The cheapo neon green really works, though, although I always gloss it with some PVA just to make it more liquid-like.

Excellent bit of scatter terrain! As above, love the green, but the simple paint on the pipes is a great part as well. Thanks for sharing. Ideas percolating! (Does anyone say percolating anymore? Man, I'm old...)

Thanks for all the kind comments. Sorry, haven't checked and replied sooner.
The green is literally just dirt cheap kids neon acrylic paint. I don't even think it has a brand name!
I'll take a picture of it and post it here later when I get the chance.
