While clearing out a cupboard I stumbled on a box with my old GW paints and brushes in and a Terminator model I purchased about 18 years ago as a project! It was only assembled and under coated. I cracked open the paints to find they were still usable (some I bought in 1989), though the palette was a bit lacking I made the best of what I had (no metalics!). I think it turned out ok, my eyesight has deteriorated badly since my last stint on the brushes, definitely need a magnifier going forward.
Now I have the bug again I think I'll treat myself to some new gear and try a new model...

Looks great. Welcome back to the hobby. I started painting again a few years ago after a long break from the hobby, and it was one of the best decisions I have made.

Have a look at my P&M blog - currently working on Sons of Horus

ditto to all the above from JamesY.

I'm also ageing badly and use a pair of these (well not exactly these but similar to) and they're a Godsend:

I also have 2 decent light sources including this:

Again a Godsend although it's not cheap. But so glad I have it. BTW mine came with a desk clap. I also bought the floor stand which, again, is quite expensive.

actually, this is the lamp I bought:

It was cheaper when I got it though.

Cheers guys, I purchased a 4 inch illuminated magnifier in the end and its awesome!

This is the first model I've bought in an age, it was lots of fun to paint, an entire squads worth of detail in one model! The Finecast was a pain to prepare but got there in the end.
