Once we realised we were being locked down because of the coronavirus way back in March, I was dispatched into town to get knitting supplies for my wife, arts and crafts stuff for the kids, and I decided to pick back up 40K as a hobby. I went home with Know No Fear, the essentials paint set and some brushes.

I have slowly worked my way through the Death Guard miniatures in the set, I very much have enjoyed picking up the paint brush again and I was surprised at how my skills have held up (if I may be boastful for a moment!). It was a bit of a struggle matching some colours across the models as I had to mix some of the purples and pinks each time as they’re not in the essentials paint set but I am very pleased with the results.

Those Death Guard are lovely.

I'm glad you decided to return and paint.
Best not to waste a good talent.

Me too! I'm expecting a third child within the next few days so we'll see. It might just be painting for a while but I'm dying to play an actual game.

Foetid Bloat Drone to support these guys. I painted this after I managed to get a delivery of paints online, I had ordered when GW opened their online store but it took ages to get to me. That Nurgle’s Rot paint is great fun!
