Starting to put together a second five-man Assault Squad (already have one with jump packs, this one will be on foot transported by Rhino).

Chassis/body of the Rhino (for the Assault Squad) assembled today. Hoping to add the hatches, storm bolter, lights, smoke launchers etc tormorrow

Completed assembly of the Rhino. Lights, storm bolter, driver's hatch, smoke launchers and hunter-killer missile added, as well as scroll banner at front and Aquila emblem at rear.

First base coat (Abaddon Black) on today!

Second coat of Abaddon Black on. Starting to work on the details, although I have had to order some new brushes as my Citadel layer brush is toast!

Got some new brushes and have started adding a bit of colour. Coming along slowly but surely!

Starting to add detail (Fenrisian Grey for the viewports, Castellax Bronze for the Aquila emblem, storm bolter and chainsword/service stud details) and shade (Agrax Earthshade) to the Rhino and Assault Squad.

Still a way to go, but really coming along now! Particularly happy with my hand-painted blood drop!

Just need to add plasma effects to the plasma pistols, wash all the bronze with Agrax Earthshade and add some highlights to the edges. Oh, and do the bases!

These guys are a cool looking chapter. They have a real Death Company vibe. Are they particularly susceptible or just still mourning Sanguinius?

Will they be getting shades and highlights? Black is a tough colour for highlights, but rewarding when you get it done.

They're not more susceptible, but they're lead by a Chaplain and composed of remnants from Chapters and companies lost during the Devastation of Baal.

I do add highlights (using Dark Reaper and Fenrisian Grey) - will post pictures once done.

Details and wash (Agrax Earthshade) added. Just need to add Armageddon Dust to the bases and tracks, and then highlight the edges!

Bases done! Armageddon Dust washed with Agrax Earthshade.

Have started on the highlights, too, Dark Reaper on black and Kislev Flesh on red.

Next pictures I post should be of finished Assault Squad and Rhino!
