They look great! Saw you put these in the other thread, and I have to say - you really should stop beating yourself up about not being GW quality. They still look fantastic.
It's like you're serving up an incredibly sumptuous, rich, delicious, hearty meal and saying "sorry it's not quite Michelin star".

Haha. Well thanks for the complement.

I feel only responsible for the paint jobb though. I did not printvor build the model. I feel it is important to make a comment on the qualaty of the 3D model:

5 years ago 3D printed models looked quite bad. These models are passable.

What would GW do if people can print out entire armies? Tyranids are organic, I would thinl they would come out bad off the printer. If you make an IG parking lot list, they would come out quite well I would imagine. Perhaps you can just buy marine bodies, and custom print all the weapons?

Where will 3D printing be in 3 or 5 years? Where will GW be in 3 or 5 years? It is usual that old companies dies out as new teqnolagy makes them obsolete. GW would not survive selling books and paints.

So while I enjoy the models, and praice, I am conserned for my hobbie in five years.

3D printing wont be the norm until theyre plug-n-play level like normal printers are.
Resin printers can print fleshy stuff pretty well. 0.025 layer height is pretty difficult to notice its even printed at all.

Also these look great, its clear what they are and theres no "wtf is that?" response here from me.
