Really nice work, and great concept for your paintjob.

However, in the pictures he look a bit glossy, and that could possibly work for lava, but kind of ruin a flame effect.

Also, ink is designed for making recesses darker, and true fire has the brightest colour at the core/recesses (why fire effects are so hard to get right on sculpted fire, and many people just go for a gradiant glowy highligt anyway).
Glace is far better for fire effects.

In short, I think your model looks great, but need some more work with the acual light contrasts on your next attempt.

Awesome feedback thank you, yeh im a bit of a gloss fan. Yeh i think i need to go a little deeper and study some light effects, to get the correct look.

At the moment i'm deciding on a concept, try to find a close approximation in google and then deconstruct it and copy but with my color scheme and limited technical skills.
