Can I just take a moment to bring to everyone’s attention these really cool plastic crystals for green stuff world. I haven’t ever really bothered with basising an even my wife pint out unpainted bases suck so I thought I’d have a go.

I bought the clear crystals cos it said you coulc colour them with inks and OMG it’s easy and you can get different effects with different inks and amounts of inks. I just love them and it’s gonna make basing mega easy and I don’t think I’ve seen them used else where

I’d be interested to know if anyone has done something more clever with them. I’m thinking of making a mold with blue stuff and pricing some more with uv resin but colour the resin

you can save a bit of money and repurpose items you may already have, i.e. glue sticks.

I used some clear glue sticks and trimmed them with a sharp (be careful) razor knife and glued it to bases then applied GW washes on top.

You can use any color wash to get different crystal colors. I can't find my photos of the red and green ones right now.

Cool glue sticks is a good idea for big crystals, I hadn’t thought about it.

How did you get the frost effect. GSW have released frost serum but their products take a few months to ge to the uk shelves.

if your talking the white snow, it's just Army Painter Snow Flock applied while the Wash was still wet.
