With the new FW book the Hierodule is actually good.

I would really like to convert up one. Take the body of a Tyranofex. Tilt it sluightly backwards. Where it's head is I would attack the upper part of a Trygon. Then I would tilt the head of the tyrgon more flat along the ground.

This would leave me with 4 arm sockets on each side. I would cover 2 of them with green stuff. On the most forward arm sockets of the carnifex body I can take two big scything arms and have them suport it's weight on the base. On the front socket of the Trygon I would erect scything arms threatening in the air. Because of the curving of the Trygon body I would need to tilt the tyranofex body some 30/45 degrees into the air. I would cut the tail of and greenstuff it in a new angel. Tail, weight suporting arm sockets and conection between tyranofex and trygon would need to be pinned in combination with green stuff to make sure it could take the weight.

For opservant readers I have not said anything about the gun. Right where the Tyranofex has his spikes I would flatten and atemt to fasten some form of gun. In my mind I can take a Tyranofex rupture and flamspurt cannon. I could magnetice it. When I use the flamespurt cannon it will count as the scythed hierodule , who has the acid spray. When I do the rupture cannon it would count as a barbed hierodule, who has 6 shots.

Of course not a perfect converison. But I like that it could be counted for both. I am a bit unsire if I would be 'modeling for advantage', but I doubt so. It would be a cool converison. An alternative is to use the upper body of a carnofex instead of a trygon. But I think trygon is better.

Options and advice would be very appreciated. Buying a trygon and tyranofex kit sounds very exspensive.

Almost cheaper to just buy the real thing.

Alot easier for sure. You might be able to find a 3d print somewhere as well.

I think I would enjoy the conversion. The fact that I could swap out the weapons is rather nice.

Question is, is it doable?

Other people have made kit bashed heirodules before. I don't think the tervigon body/tail is a particularly good fit though.

Personally I would say you probably have a better kitbash by combining the harpy/hivecrone tail with extra bits to make it different, the exocrine torso, the Trygons head, Tervigon Walking arms (and maybe legs) but enhanced in some way (like the tail, add some bits to beef it up or just generally make it different).

Then you need to make swappable arms with BIG Scytal and biocannons. And maybe modify a carnifex or the tervigons front carapace piece to be swapped in and out. One with the scythed-dules gun and one without.

I have been able to find all those bits off ebay for cheap in the past. Just gotta keep your eye out for deals.

These are my opinions. This is how I feel. Others may feel differently. This needs to be stated for some reason.

Ebay to norway is usualy not cheap due to shipping. But good idea though.
