After a hiatus of 15 years i decided to pick up tbe brush again and paint some miniatures. This a hydra warrior from rackham.
This the third one i did and i am rather pleased with its outcome. Lots of room for improvement offcourse, but i am finally having fun doing it.
C&c is most welcome

A really nice paintjob.
Glad to hear you enjoy the hobby again.
I enjoy the pale pallet of green, turqoise and pink for this guy.
Perhaps the tentacle could have been less pale though, to make it look more slimy. But then again, the model looks very balanced as it is with the pale colours.

Looks good! I really like the weatherimg on the metals and the unhealthy skin tones. Overall the cohesive colour scheme feels right. I'm not sure how I feel about the bluish fur and pink tentacle, but I think it really works how the pink lips help the mouth to serve as a focal point.

Thank you very much. I find hard to get a proper colorscheme going. What kind of color would you suggest for the fur and tentacle?

Hmm, that is a tough question. To be honest I don't know what would work better with your colour scheme.

Man, I love the old Rackham sculpts. Great work on the metallics in particular!
