I wanted to practice painting camouflage and test some ideas so picked up a couple of Primaris Hellblasters from ebay.
I actually wrote an article on my blog exploring and demonstrating the theory of camouflage in miniature so if you'd like to read that the link is here: https://miniaturesteel.wordpress.com/2020/10/03/camouflage-in-miniature/

I also used this opportunity to practice a technique for painting plasma glow I found on twitter. The results look ok on camera but are mediocre in real life - this is primarily due to me being a fairly novice miniature painter. These are in-fact within the first dozen or two of miniatures I've ever painted. I am also struggling to figure out how wet palettes work so that didn't help. I feel like I've got the knowledge to speak on the subject just not the skill to demonstrate it like a pro could

I'd be interested to hear which of the 4 is your favourite and why, so please leave a comment!

Cheers!

P.S. My favourite is

I like the blue one. I think if the blue was a bit more drab, and the brown dappling a bit denser and more varied, you would have a pretty cool camo pattern.
