Does anybody have any idea how the power armor is painted here?

Is this multi layered from a black undercoat?

Thanks!

Do you think these paints on black?

Ultra Armour has changed a lot over the years. The current ultramarine base color is slightly red/purple. Highlighting blue on it makes the blue stand out.

In the above picture red and white does a lot of work of making the blue look good. The yellow is very dirty. This is to prevent the model from having McDonald / Burge king colors who use alle 3 primary colors a lot.

They are old! You will likely have to do some experimenting with colour mixing to get those tones. It's crazy how much even the official box art paint jobs have improved (generally) over the years.

I use caldor sky, washed with drakenhof nightshade layered with teclis blue then highlight with lothern blue and edge with either white or etherium blue.

Mine are more 2nd ed enchanted blue style, those are slightly darker but could be because of photo filters.

Id say those are beautiful. If you could post your full colorscheme for those boys down there, I would be really happy.

On topic. I tried a mix with 50/50 gw kantor blue and vallejo magic blue for base, then drakenhof nightshade, layered with same mixure as before but with a drop of white in it and edge highlighted with calgar blue.

I also have Vallejo air Magic blue and AP Crystal blue, theses are the same as Citadel Caledor Sky/ Enchanted Blue.

I'll add a colour list in the gallery.
