Hey guys,

Experimenting with a simple and fast color scheme that still looks nice, and came up with this. What do you guys think of it?

That's subdued and gritty - I especially like the way the gloves came out. An army done like this would look mean, moody and dangerous.

If you don't mind a suggestion: the skin tone on the face seems a wee bit samey to the rest of the mini … maybe do something to make it pop a little? Unless that's the effect you're going for, of course!

I agree with the comment about the skin. I'd also add a bit more variation, even just some bronze trim would really make it stand out.

Very nice. I would darken the skin as it looks almost the same as the gloves. Either that or change the colour of the gloves.

Here is a few more pics with another Melta I have painted. To address the face, I think it might have just been the lighting that made the face look dark. So I took some better pictures with lighting so you guys can see the difference. I'm glad you guys like the scheme and appreciate the feedback! Let me know if the faces look propper now

One last thing: Do you think it would be a good idea to gloss varnish or metallic gloss varnish the metal armor to make them have a nice shine to them? Or keep them dull?

Last tip: Click the zoom in feature on their faces! They have quite the hilarious expression and makeup haha

Heavy Bolter WIP. They take about an hour and a half per model, which I'd say is pretty decent for speed painting - considering the result.
