Subject: 60mm bases... not all the same?

I just bought a bag of 60mm bases for 40k.
Did GW change the dimensions of these bases over the years? I've got 20 year old eldar wraithlords on 60mm round bases that I picked up 10yrs ago. I am going to use the same style black bases for all my weapon platforms and my vipers and grav-tanks. Since I have 19 of my 32 needed done already I'm commited to my 10yr old bases.
What I got was something where the sides are barely sloped at all, and the top is 3mm wider than my other 60mm bases that I already have. Is this GW new style or did I get bait n switched?

GW's bases are not particularly consistent (even within a particular run of production), but I've never seen one with vertical sides.
I think that's not a GW base.

You may have bought a bootleg. As above, GW bases are always tapered with the exception of old carnifex/weapons team bases, which were flatter than the one in the picture.

if the 60mm is 65mm wide, it is a GW base
is it 60mm, it is not from GW

No its not a GW base, ebay seller just said so. Frack.
I guess I could do the entire army with these bases.
Can't seem to find GW ones for decent price.

They haven't all been the same, no. But GW bases for the most part have always had bevelled edges (except for the 60mm flats that came with a bunch of sets for a while. Including the Wraithlords and heavy weapons teams.

The base on the right is not a GW base. GW introduced 60mm base in 2003 with Cadian Heavy Weapons Squad. The mold has been updated since but the dimensions have stayed the same (updated mold doesnt have guides for holes and the plastic is thicker to reduce warping). The base is actually 65mm in diameter but it has been mislabeled since its release with few exceptions.
Before 2003 GW use to make a round base that was actually 60mm in diameter and flat, very similar to base you posted but thinner. This was known as Epic Titan base. The mislabelling of 60/65mm base probably comes from units that updated from this 60mm flat base into 65mm proper base.

Actually, it's a convention and not mislabeling. All GW 'solid' bases are measured at the top plane and not at the bottom of the lip, while flying bases are measured at the bottom lip. There are about 3~4mm difference between the diameter of the top plane and bottom lip for all GW's 'solid' bases.

no, only the 60mm Bases are measured from the top
all others have the correct base size from the bottom
specially the 25mm-40mm round bases would be too short if measured from the top

Yeah, the top of the beveled '60mm' base is the same size as the flat 60mm bases were, they just raised it and beveled the sides.
In the beginning, GW never referred to either of these as 60mm bases, as far as I recall. The flat ones were generally labelled as Epic Titan bases, despite being also used in a number of 40K kits (Guard Heavy Weapon Teams and Sentinels, most notably) and the beveled version when they were released were just called 'Large Round Bases'. It's only more recently they started calling them 60mm bases, and I suspect that's just because it's what everyone using them was calling them by that point, and labeling them as '65mm' would have just confused everyone.
