Hi guys, I'm looking for suggestions on what would look good for basing my WBs.

Here some pictures of them.

I looked online and I can't really find a good basing kit. Maybe I'm just looking in the wrong places. I checked GW and they don't really offer anything worthwhile besides some grass. Please let me know where I should go and what I should get. Thank you guys

What kind of thing do you want?

Yeah it really depends what you want. From an artistic point of view, as red is your main colour, you could get away with both light or dark bases. I would try to get some green on them to compliment the red, maybe a moss effect, some greenery or maybe a green powder.

I like the idea of green though I don't want them to end up looking like christmas trees LOL,

@mr fickle: I was thinking like an orange sand base, something that will make the red pop more

@Kiro: Ok checking them out now!

That's why greenery on the bases is a good idea. You can use the browny green of moorland type grass so it's not the super saturated Christmas green, same with moss effect or powder. I like the forge world faded green powder on the bases of my red dominant models to provide a subtle hint of contrast.

Well I haven’t done too much basing but I am doing a red planet type thing for my creations of bile army. I don’t know about kits, I just picked up bits and bobs and improvise.

Here I use green stuff world red crackle paint, clear crystals from green stuff world and paint them with ink and then a variety of tufts from green stuff world (again), gamers grass and army painter.

If you look at those 3 brands you can pick up everything you need for basing I think.

Just ordered the army painter basing kit. I think once I glue on the rocks I'll dry brush them orange and add the tufts, sparsely separated.

Thanks for the help guys

@mr. fickle those look really awesome!

That's very helpful. I'm definitely going to go for the grassy planes variant here. The colors will really make my WB's pop.
