It's been some time since I posted any stuff of interest here, so hopefully you find this one interesting.

Some time ago we had some fun with these primaris space marine busts. They're nothing official, just some random fan-art that we made a few copies of and gave to the members of our team to paint as they feel like. One of them is this Blood Angels Space Marine, but I think there have also been two Ultramarines, an Imperial Fist and a Salamander (cough cough, see the banner).

I'll post them once I have a bit more time, but to kick off in some way, here is the Blood Angels version.

That Atrapos Knight looks really awesome. Excellent job!
Did you sculpt the ghost effects physically or digitally?

I have rarely, if ever, seen moulded effects look good, but you have nailed it.

All of this is great, and that Atrapos is stunning.

However, there was a little part of me (the very childish part), that was disappointed when the Knight wasn't mounted on a stick, in bust form, like the others!

This is an idea for future use. Once Games Workshop introduces the Lollypop Knights expansion

You may have expected Valdor to be wearing his usual golden armor. But not this time! We were asked to get him painted for use both as a showcase piece, and as a member of a Shadowkeepers force in Warhammer 40k. That's one of the reasons why his display base is removable, so he can be used in tabletop battles.

And if you wonder about the blue and red lighting effects on the model, here's the explanation: After researching a bit about Shadowkeepers, Ańa decided to use two kinds and sources of light on the model. Red light coming from below, represented the demonic enemies. Valdor being in charge of troops keeping them in check would counter them with purity of Adeptus Custodes. This is the blue light coming from inside the collar of his armor and shining onto his face. This would also match some details of his armor and the force halberd. Hope it makes sense now

And oh, somebody during the Warhammer Community Hobby Roundup mentioned how he reminds of Abaddon. Totally unexpected, but it turned out to be true! You can check it by yourselves.

Valdor looks awesome. He could easly be used as some techno-barbarian champion from pre-heresy era.

It's been quite some time since the last update, and we've got a lot of new stuff to post.
So here's a whole Space Wolves army, commissioned project painted in a grimdark style.

There are multiple homages to popculture heroes of the '80s and '90s and the owner's childhood heroes, so why don't you try to identify them?

I spot Wolverine, pretty obvious. He-Man maybe in the Space Marine squad?

And the Centurions are Hulk Hogan and King Arthur from Monthy Python and the holy grail? He even has a sword in a stone.

And there's a bunch more I have no idea who they are.

The third one is Zawisza the Black, so not really a popculture hero. Unless we're talking medieval popculture.

Haha, there's Mr.T, Blain, Ken, Max Rockatansky, Conan the Barbarian
and references to Enter the Dragon, Knights of the Round Table, Karate Kid, Street Fighter, legendary Viking heroes and gods, and maybe more. That's just what I remembered.

Here's another interesting project we did: A large Blood Angels frigate (Rapier-class, or Sword-class for those who want to stay true to the lore), which was 3d-printed, built and painted by our team for a collector.

I ordered the starter box yesterday and have been looking around the web for painting ideas. Your army looks great. I have been pondering whether to paint the Ultra symbol on each pauldron or not. I think I have to, it just looks so much better
