I wouldn't be too worried, it doesn't get creepy until the penguin suits are involved.

@alanmckenzie - Sorry those are IE heavy trooper pics (edited) not regulars. I didn't go for the regulars (so you haven't missed out in your wave).

These look suitably impressive - my fears of crap models after only being presented renders was totally unfounded.

How have you guys found the cast quality with the resin - I went full spin cast resin myself but am a Wave 3 shipper so have no idea when to expect a parcel?

Got my minis just now, from a first glance the metals are everything you're told to be: excellent sculpts with sharp detail and no flaws.

Righto, I am very happy with these and I can't wait for Christmas to happen so I've got some much needed time off to work on these pretties.

The spincast is pretty good close up - nice sharp detail.

Total issues... One mould slip on a jailbird - largish mould line (should be fixable), two missing sections off IE heavy shoulders (bigger issue to fix, but there are enough alternative parts I don't need to bother), shiny, slippy quality to the kst snipers (not washed yet - assuming its mould release stuff -give it a wash) and drakkan has a few tiny bubbles (easily fixed with gs).

That's about it, apart from the usual bendy resin bits that hot water will fix. All in all, I've seen the same (and worse) from Forgeworld and Mierce, and better from Victoria miniatures.

Finally had some time to clean up von Stroheim and stick her together. She'll make an excellent addition to the base of my count-as Castigator, I just need to find a more suitable replacement for the original grotesque vulkan cannon. Bit miffed that the pile of skulls is moulded to her foot and coat, but can't be helped I suppose. All I need now is for Elektra Eisenstein to show up soon and I'll have a pilot model for every Knight in my army.

Add some putty and turn it into a pile of stones? Or sand putty and flock and turn it into dirt?

I am a bit tempted to add a serf to the base with a bucket of skulls.

Though I may just do that instead as suggested, while Nobles are warriors, I'd like to keep them noble and less blood thirtsty.

Would the pile of skulls be easily removable if the figure was in Trollcast?

What's Trollcast? Resin? Some form of plastic?

it would be fairly simple to remove as it cuts ok with a blade,

but you'd need to do some resculpting around the leg/cloak simply because of the size of the contact point. Simpler to cover the skulls in greenstuff and turn them into a pile of dirt/rocks

Decided to stick together Doctor von X, she's a fiddly one, still not sure where the extra manipulator arm with the tea cup is supposed to go. Also, her foot also took some fiddling before I got it right and in a natural pose.

Inches? 1/16 of a mm would be pretty damn small.

Don't get me wrong, we were taught about inches and feet, but stuff like that, nnnnnnnnnope!

It might work, though her parts, or the parts of every angry heroine for that matter are quite fiddly and small, so expect a lot of swearing and mucking about if you want to magnetize them.

She's probably the only one I'm going to bother with. I like all her options too much to commit to any one configuration!

It's the stuff that the RH troops are made from. Some form it restic/resin hybrid (in easily understood terms), as I understand it.
