If you prefer the ultra-modern style:
http://www.katousa.com/N/Unitrack/structures.html
I'm hoping Hawk's buildings are fairly cheap (as I'd like to use them for HG) but I'm going to make a wild guess and say $20-30 for a two or three story building (ground level, roof, and one or two mid-levels) with additional levels costing $8 to $10. They're saying resin so I'm guessing each level will be rotocast with a floor and ceiling...essentially a hollow box. Having played 12mm games like Heavy Gear its hard to simulate multiple city blocks cheaply, unlike 28mm where you're fighting over a smaller space. Foam-core (and card buildings) to the rescue!
Edit: Actually it looks like the buildings may be similar to CoD, guess that's what they mean by tile system. Look great though.

Those are really nice - and really expensive.
I'm afraid the Hawk buildings will be similarly priced - at least the resin versions.
He did mention card versions too though...

I really wish we knew something about army lists. I'm ready to order, just want to make sure I'll be able to use all my models at once! Don't want to buy two of something if there a one per army type thing.
Also wondering about the rules for dropships? Can save a little cash if everything doesn't need to be dropshipped in.

Had a stupid idea: Museum scale or 28mm scale model kits with some infantry. (As a limited release/these are just cool models sorta thing.)
For the PHR, a Type-2 chassis with weapons options for Odin, Hyperion, and Enyo (and maybe Zeus) with five Immortals.
UMC, a heavy tank chassis with options for either a Gladius or Scimitar and five Legionnaires. Maybe a Wolverine, too, to even things up with the PHR and Shaltari.
Scourge get Slayer or Tormentor with three Razorworms (because they go together). And, again, maybe a Prowler or Minder.
And for the Shaltari, a Warstrider: Ocelot, Jaguar, or Coyote. No infantry, because it would be a big kit.

You will need Dropships (kinda the name of the game) Good luck getting to and moving objectives about without them, ground units aren't particularly fast...
I guess you could possibly play a game without dropships but you would be at a MASSIVE tactical disadvantage.
Cant say much more without breaching the ol' NDA im afraid,
I would say the large army deals are most similar to the forces i have used so should represent a balanced army. Dont forget that the army breaks down to detachments which are activated one at a time...

Naah im sure Dave has already covered that, you can move and pass objectives between units. Im definitely not going to say whether you can get them off the table edge though....

They touched on the ability to move objectives in the FAQ they did. You need a troop to capture it, but then you can move it to what ever.

I don't understand why so many are agonizing over whether to buy X army deal or Y army deal and whining over not knowing any of the rules. Just order the rule book only and when you've read it you can make a proper decision of what faction you like the most and what miniatures to buy. It's not like the miniatures are only produced in a limited run and there's a rush to get them. They'll be there in a few weeks/months as well

Indeed. That was my first ever game system and still the one I have most fond feelings for. I had over 30.000 points of eldar but then I went to Sparta and today I don't have a single mini left :(

"moving objectives" means the game must be scenario driven, so this means you will have relocation and evacuation scenarios included in the game. Missions to relocate otherwise immobile assets, or insert or to extract, most likely the latter in most cases. The price seems a bit to much for my wallet atm, I'm used to cheaper stuff in 15mm's but I will get some of those for sure in the future. 60 quid would buy me insane ammounts of Khurasans minis and that is top priority now.

Just had a look at the website. Figs look great and while the prices are a bit expensive, that's kind of what you expect for a boutique level product like this. Still, as nice as they are, they're not likely to lure me away from the mechwarrior minis that I've built my 10mm army from thus far.
I do hope that folks don't hold off buying the figs because the game isn't available yet. There are lots of great rulesets (like Future War Commander) that 10mm figs can be used for that existed before Dropzone Commander and will continue after Dropzone Commander.
As for terrain...
I highly recommend that in addition to n-scale terrain, folks have a look at HO scale industrial terrain (doesn't have as many regular buildings to compare scale with), 15mm sci-fi terrain which is often fairly scale neutral, and making terrain from toy buildings and other scraps.
Here's pics of some of the stuff I've used alongside the 10mm rebased MW figs I use them with.
Micro Machine building converted to sci-fi lab. More pics and how-to here: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/352782.page
Light grey buildings and habs: free 15mm Heavy Gear paper buildings avaialble from the GF9 website.
Darker Grey wearhouse with tower and large building with landing pad are free Mechwarrior scaled (10mm) buildings found here:
http://www.dungeoncrawlers.com/files/paper-terrain/mechwarrior
Grey bases are pieces of vinyl floor tile unpainted except for the edges
Other buildings are scratchbuilt from various junk and bitz.
