Update #5

You can now get 6 packs for $15 and they've added an add ons only level $5 - no points but you can buy add ons.

Project Update #5: Stretch Goal #6 unlocked. Stretch Goal #7 and Add-ons
Posted by Impact! Miniatures ♥ Like

Thanks to the backers we unlocked Stretch Goal #6 for the Nightgaunt and are now well on the way for Stretch Goal #7.

Backers can now use points to include the Nightgaunt in their reward.

Stretch Goal #7 unlocks at $13,600 and offers a poll fight between a contender from each genre. The TYPE 2 (30mm scale) Headless Horseman from the Horror category VS the TYPE 1 Snakeman (servant of Yig) for Cthulhu VS the TYPE 1 alien Tergite represents Space. Vote in this poll to determine who will win this fight to be the figure that unlocks for Stretch Goal #7: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/BC7BFNX
Add-ons

Chris and I received more than expected in after the KickStarter add-ons from our Dungeon Crawl Classics dice KickStarter. After discussion we have decided to use those funds to work with Nick Kelsch to cast several of his new sculpts from the last month of this work and offer them as add-ons for this KickStarter in hopes that doing so will help unlock more stretch goals before the project ends. You may not use points to receive these figures. You must add-on the amount shown to your pledge level to receive these figures. A thank you to Nick for working with us so quickly to allow us to include these figures as part of the KickStarter. Below is the add-on menu for figures that you can add-on to your pledge to receive with your reward.

Figures that lost in previous poll fights

Starting with Stretch Goal #9 we will be bringing back figures that lost in previous poll fights to give them more chances to unlock for use with your points. So do not despair if the figure you really liked lost a previous poll fight. They should get another chance.

Also Impact! firmly believes in investing windfalls of sales back into our KickStarters. So even if your figure does not unlock there is a chance that we'll be announcing that we will be allowing the figure as an add-on so you can still get the figure even though the KickStarter did not reach the funding to allow us to add it the Select with Point menu of figures. So this is just a note to stay with us because like add-on on the figures based on our DCC revenue ... events can happen that will allow us to add more figures to the add-on list. Our greatest hope would be that the Kickstarter will hit a surge these last 2 weeks and we'll unlock most of the remaining figures with points ... but I wanted to make sure it was clear that it is possible (but not definite) that unlocked figures could be included in the Add-On list later.

Okay back to the last day of Adepticon. A thank you again to all our backers for helping us reach where we are so far.

Tom and Chris @ Impact!

Creep packs are a great idea for this project. Good to see the concept for the Drop Bear. Impact have sculpted non-Chibi koalas before so I think they'll nail a Chibi Drop Bear.

The Tergite is unlocked and new poll is up

https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/N662ZBK

The ghost if it wins will be done in clear frosted resin so you can keep it claer and ghostly or just paint over it as normal.

The Dropbear if it wins will be scupted by Patrick Keith.

I have some WIPs/greens which may help. The horseman photo is the 'conversion' which I did. The ones being cast are fresh ones with more stuff and better flames and such.

This is the pony Wagon:

The horseman body had some changes to make him ride the horse:

The Saddle Pony, Designed to make it easier for all chibi models to ride:

I hope that helps! Almost any chibi can ride the saddle pony as the head is forward and the saddle is flat. You just need spread legs stance or to fiddle with the legs.

5 Days to go can't seem to get past $14k or so at the moment hopefully it will pick up next week.

In news the Tergite's are now available as a 5 for 4 add on pack

The Drop Bear is currently leading the next poll but still a good way to go to unlock it at $15,200

Impact! have decided to cast any mini that has already been sculpted like the Student, Copper and Tsathoggua if they don't fund if they have the funds available themselves to do it. As result they will only be availbale in the Pledge Manager and will be paid add ons only - you can't use picks on them.

Link to Kenny's pledge manager - Kenny designs the actual pledge manager as well and it will be similar to this.

http://www.skykadia.com/impact/chibi_gaslight/

Tom spoke with both CMoN and Soda Pop at Adepticon.

CMoN approached them about stocking their chibi range and as a result are now stocking them. Tom was expecting an order for just a handfull but they took 2 of everyhting still in stock.

https://www.coolminiornot.com/shop/miniatures/impact-miniatures

Soda Pop see the Impact! range as being good for their own sales and the ranges compliment each other rather than competing - I'm amazed how many times someone asked for something during Forgotten King that Impact! already make but people completely dismiss Impacts! range.

Anyway Impact! and Soda Pop have come to an agreement that fans can make SDE cards for Impacts! minis and post them to BGG. Impact! will then be allowed to link to that card on their online store and provide people with unofficial rules for using their minis in SDE. They are hoping to have them done by Gencon. Permission is given to use Lorraine's art for the cards.

The BGG thread is here

Creator Impact! Miniatures 22 minutes ago
... we just received this permission from Soda Pop recently so I've been reaching out to our fans to encourage them to post the fan made cards to Board Game Geek. It takes time for that all to happen ... so they have not finished any yet so there are no links. When a card is finished ... I have permission to link to it from the sales page of the figure. So when you go to buy the figure right underneath it will be a link to a fan created SDE print and play card if one currently exists. I hope to soon be able to have a link for every card as I play to use this great permission of Soda Pop to the max to make both his game and my company better.

TL: DR - $15,200 stretch goal has been changed the current one has been scrapped the Dropbear is winning and would cost too much at this stage to sculpt given the project isn't even breaking even yet, it needs another $5k to cover everything but Impact! are willing to cover that to get the range done but anything added in the next 54 hours really helps. So at $15,200 Tsathoggua and Student will unlock as picks as they are already sculpted.

Project Update #8: Stretch Goal #9 update and decisions on Poll fight losers
Posted by Impact! Miniatures ♥ Like

Chris and I have had several conversations on this KickStarter. We've discussed most how to make the best use of what cash we can allocate out of our own pocket as well as make best use of the money raised by the KickStarter to bring as much value to the backers for figures to pick from.

This lead to a difficult decision that we made this morning. At this point if Stretch Goal #9 unlocked and we had to pay to have the Drop Bear sculpted that would be equal to the expense of bringing 3 other figures that lost previous poll fights to market. In addition, it would delay our ability to ship the KickStarter rewards by at least 6 weeks ... probably more like 2 months compared to when we could ship rewards. When we announced Stretch Goal #9 ... we had no idea that the KickStarter was going to basically remain unchanged from that point so we made a difficult call this morning in an effort to bring more value to the KickStarter and keep the delivery schedule as timely as possible. (while it seems normal anymore for miniatures KickStarters to deliver late ... we really like to hit our delivery dates).

To that end ... we are removing the poll fight for Stretch Goal #9. In its place we wanted to offer to unlock two of the most beloved of the previous fight losers. Namely Tsathoggua and the Student. So if we reach $15,200, both of these figures will be added to the list of figures that you can get with points.

Chris and I FULLY understand that for some this will be unpopular. We can only apologize. We are honestly trying to do the best we can to maximize what happens with the funding the backers are giving us.

If we reach $15,200 during these final 2 1/2 days ... I'll gladly offer up more figures to unlock as another stretch goal.

However whether we do or do not reach Stretch Goal #9, Chris and I have decided to spend the extra funds needed to unlock all the Poll Fight losers that we have already sculpted as add-ons in the pledge manager. So even if Tsathoggua and the Student do not unlock ... they will be available.

Here is the list of the figures that will be made available in the pledge manager regardless of how much or how little extra funding we receive before the KickStarter ends (and not if we get enough more in these final days we'll definitely move them from add-ons to available for points) .. all figures are Type 1 unless otherwise noted:

Student
Cop
Tsathoggua (Type 2)
Frankie
Snakeman
Frosted Clear Resin Ghost
Short Range weapon Mech (Type 2)
Long Range weapon Mech (Type 2)
Energy weapon Mech (Type 2)

If the KickStarter ended as of this moment ... that will be a short fall of around $5,000 for us to cover to bring all those figures to market above the funding (so I'm hoping we can cut that number down over the next 2 1/2 days as that is not a small amount for our company).

We also promise to not lose the art for the Drop Bear. Chris and I have talked about doing a KickStarter in fairly near future to return to the more classic Dungeon Crawl Chibi and we promise to give the Drop Bear a chance to still be made when we do that project.

This was a difficult set of decisions to make both for trying to maximize what we can offer the backers vs disappointment vs financial risk for the company. Chris and I's first decision was to shelf all the poll fight loser sculpts and hopefully with another KickStarter be able to include them in the funding. That was probably the decision that made the most financial sense ... but this project has been such a roller-coaster that we really did not want to do something more than that to thank the backers that stuck with this project.

Thank you to all the backers that have stayed with us during the campaign and we look forward to seeing what the last 2 1/2 days bring.

Ah, that turntable is really helpful. From seeing the sculpts in-person, I was actually quite blown away by some of the type 1 (small) sculpts they had at AdeptiCon, but not so much by the type 2 (large).

So I think I'm sticking with my Tergite 5-pack, and this news doesn't change my pledge either way. I hope they raise a bit more before the end to cover any shortfall, though! And it's smart to focus on things they've already had sculpted at this point rather than adding more unsculpted items.

Project Update #10: Last Day, the Tergite and a Snake Basket
Posted by Impact! Miniatures ♥ Like

Welcome to the last day of the KickStarter backers. Thanks for your support during this adventure.

We are currently only $285 from unlocking Stretch Goal #10 to move the Snakeman and Ghost to the points menu so that seems like a real doable goal for today and I look forward to breaking through this stretch goal.

Andrew with 24 hours on the shot clock finished the Tergite sculpt and I have that to show to you as a last day update.

Despite the bug like arms ... the figure is only 2 pieces so assembly should not be very simple.

In addition, I had a request for some type of Spawn Point item if we had any and after serious consideration ... I realized we do have something that would work great. So now added to the Points menu as Type 1 for 1 point is a Snake Basket.

We currently have the following snake based Chibi: Snakie, Snake Cultist, Snakeman, Medusa, Yig, and the Snake Demoness so this gives you a great spawning point for a Snake based monster attack.

Looking forward to seeing what happens on the final day!

Tom and Chris @ Impact!

Project Update #11: Stretch Goal #10 unlocked! Snakeman and Ghost added to the Points menu
Posted by Impact! Miniatures ♥ Like

We just broke Stretch Goal #10 ... thank you backers!

The Type 1 Snakeman and Type 1 Frosted Clear Resin Ghost are now available for Points.

Stretch Goal #11 is up next at $18,500 and will unlock the Type 1 Cop and Frankie models for points.

I'm happy enough with the Tergite sculpt to stick with my 5-pack. I'm curious what others think of it?

I got these images for feedback last night at that stage it was still WIP so I think Andrew still has a little work to do on the upper set of claws I don't think they are final just yet. My feedback to Chris was basically head is great, body is a little spindley looking and could be a little thicker/longer I'd rather the tail curved backwards Scorpion style or the body was S shaped that said the design is very clever in that it will cast in one piece which wouldn't be possible in the original pose - nearly there I think but I also think there's still a little more work to be done to finish him off.

Happy enough with him as is and the final design/approval call is Chris and Tom's I just try to give them my honest feedback on what they send me based on my own preferences.

Yeah, I agree with those points DaveC, I hope they take that feedback into consideration. I'm not sure the "head claws" are even needed, to be honest, and it might look even a bit better without them (or without them as-is).

I think it may be better for Impact's bottom line not to quite reach that level, unless it shoots past it... I have a feeling it will hit it right on the nose between 20 and 21K, though.

All done at $20,280 so the bonus minis are in. Glad this turned around in the last day or 2 they probably still a little short funds wise but it's a lot better than it was at least everything can be molded up and they can make it up on later sales plus the PM should bring in more funds which should hopefully cover any difference. Let's see if they can beat September delivery Ed has already finished some of the minis!

A lot of miniature KS tend to run late so credit needed when they manage to ship early (second Chibi KS Impact! have managed this for) - this will be shipping early July - 2 months early - address surveys have just gone out.

Project Update #17: It a bird, its a plane ... no a USPS guy with a tiny hill of boxes from Trollforged
Posted by Impact! Miniatures ♥ Like

Thanks to the great work of the team at Trollforged we look like we'll be able to deliver our KickStarter 2 months ahead of schedule.

So the address surveys have gone out. We are probably still 2 weeks away from having everything we need to ship the rewards .... but we have a lot of it in already. The only figures we are missing from Trollforged at this time are:

Snakie
Tergite
Rynack
Yig
Wagon Pony
Space Mech - Energy weapons
Cthulhu

Just got off the phone with Ed and they expect me to have the final 7 of these items by middle of next week.

I hired my son and one of his friends to get everything bagged up for the multi-piece figures as quickly as possible. They are doing great work and we are down to just needing to bag up about 10 more figures plus the items still coming from Ed.

So at this time it looks like all rewards should be shipped out before the end of July. Which will be great as I'll be able to have these at Gen Con without begging eveyone's forgiveness for selling some of them at Gen Con so I can make sure I canpay the mortgage. ;-)

So a good news update ... happy to send to everyone.

I've update the thread title to keep it more relevant and make it more news based for now.

The next Chibi KS is scheduled for July. It's ponies, ponies and well ponies nothing else this time. The pony range is by far the most popular so it's getting expanded. It's not my thing but I've seen some of the artwork and the bronies are going to love it. The clockwork one in particular is one I might actually buy.

Currently planned - Ninja, Pirate, Zombie, Knight Skeleton, Walker Stalker, Time Traveler and more (along with some new accessories for the existing pony and unicorn)

Right now Dungeon Monster Chibi #2 is looking like February 2015. That will be an expansion of the original dungeon adventurers theme continuing on with a lot of ideas that didn't make the cut last time. There's loads of ideas floating around for that already.

I received my models from this past campaign, and they're well sculpted and cast. Very pleased! If only I had the ability to paint chibi / anime eyes

Also, I think all of mine may have been digitally sculpted? Based on WIPs I changed to Hounds and Ithaqua models. I told him this in-person at AdeptiCon, but again I think he needs better pics (these exceeded my expectations) and scale shots (hounds are much bigger, ithaqua smaller than I expected).
