Maybe Voice of the Chaos Gods should get a pity partial for this guess, lol:

Hi!

Since I've kind of followed that release closely, I see there is a mistake regarding Archibald_TK WD rumours:

Dwarf Rumors - Jan 2016
via Archibald_TK on Warseer
And then the week after will be the Salamander Beast TRUE and the Standard Bearer/ Leaked Sprue. FALSE No prices for them yet.

This is not a rumour from him, it's a rumour that was posted on Faeit and associated to its name "mistakenly".

It's kind of difficult to show the posts now that Warseer is down, but I remember the discussion and the one who came forward as the source was actually "lbecks" and even so I seem to remember him saying that was not a rumours at all but some guesswork that was grabbed by Faeit.

Just wanted to see if this got captured, as it seems like a whole bunch of rumor mongers missed the mark on it (regarding the recent news of the General's Handbook for AoS)

I think the rumor mongers started piling in after this hit:

Saying it wasn't points... and yeah, some of them got exposed.

I feel kinda bad for them, but then again they probably shouldn't have spoken up about it if they didn't know.

Yeah, that one's kinda hard. I think that a lot of the tracks are going to stand since this was obviously a change after the fact.

If someone said there would 'never' be points, on the other hand...

Maybe these are the already introduced event packages - instead of 40k now for AoS

Yeah, I know a lot of them (Warhams-77 in particular) were just relaying what the AoS facebook page said, but for anyone who might have spun it as their own information it would be a good litmus test.

It also can just be a good indicator for which folks are just acting as go-betweens for information - Atia for instance, I have been wondering whether there is a source or whether they are always just compiling rumors.

Like Sinful Hero said, it looks like it's actually a little hard to tell here on many of them (like usual ). But I think Mitch is the one I was thinking of - he seemed to be caught a bit red-handed there! Thanks for compiling these, Sinful Hero (and pretre for updating!)

I'm relaying information from other sites (etc), and have no inside sources or am a rumormonger But if that is going to be tracked please start my record with the Harlequin release thread. I like quality information because I plan my purchases with it and so do members of my club. That's why I post quotes from those of whom we know they will most likely have reliable information. This will be wrong sometimes but it gives a good idea what's actually coming. My assumption based on what we had heard earlier was wrong regarding AoS points Very wrong it seems, which I'm happy to admit and now I'm looking forward to it getting released and the game benefitting from it.

The latest development with AoS (and the Specialist Design Team last year) is interesting. GW seems to begin reacting to community feedback again. It also looks like most of their more open conversation comes from the Warhammer Digital Team founded last year.

But the same people have denied the existence of the Renegade game and Death from the Skies during the last weeks on the official pages - when we already had heard of it from Archibald_TK and saw some picture leaks. Then they posted in-fiction teaser images shortly before preorder, so they definitely knew better. Blood Bowl teaser pics on the official BB page? Cool. But on the 40k FB page they made vague posts about Chaos Legions, but nothing that is helping really. So they (GW main) still deny releases until preorder?

Regarding AoS:

- What point system will be used? Per wound? Per equipment? Is it really a return to the WFB point system or something else? There is no book yet so how could we currently check what rumors have been wrong?

- The comment from Mitch Cowan was what we already knew from GW from the Las Vegas seminars, wasn't it? Was it outdated or not the complete picture? Back then GW personell announced a league point system (Tank something) we already saw photos of. As Mr. Cowan seems to be involved in organizing AoS leagues or tournaments maybe his assumption was based on that or other information available at the time. Well it was wrong from our current state of information but maybe even GW hadnt decided what to do back then. So I say carefull with the feathering.

Anyway, where are the 40k 8th Edition rumors to put our teeth into?

Couldn't find Mitch's comment that was screen-capped, and searching through his history it doesn't turn up so I assume it was deleted. He still has this post up.

After thinking on it, I'm not sure if any of them are worth tracking pretre. None of them appear to be dedicated rumormongers, and if they were they just relayed other information. Probably no need to bother with it unless sometime in the future they decide to start posting rumors on a more standard schedule.

As it stands, in my opinion putting them on the tracker would just be rubbing people's faces in a random bad call.

I wasn't planning on tracking you. So far, it looked like reposts from other sites and your opinions, rather than rumors. If that changes, we'll certainly get you on the tracker.

Warhams-77, appreciate what you do and you're "safe" . Thanks for getting the info over onto Dakka for these things!

Mitch is probably the only one who was presenting information as if it was his own - but I do think it was off. From the link Sinful Hero posted here:

Mitch Cowan • 6 days ago

Partially right. Its not a pts system for warscrolls (that is never happening, so don't hold your breath lol). Its actually just the implementation of the event system, where you can track the points you gain and see where you rank across events happening all over the globe.

I don't know if this would end up being "partially true / vague" or just not true... but yeah, it clearly wasn't accurate and was presented like he had some information on it.

No need to track unless he continues to post rumors, of course, one bad call is no biggie

Have these made it to the tracker?

8th Edition 40k and AoS Rumors: Blood Angels, Tyranids, Much More

This is a large section of rumors that I don't have a lot of information on, but its being talked about within some circles as I have heard references to it. So here is what I believe is the entirety of that rumor section I have been searching for.

Please remember that these are rumors. Salt required as normal for rumors like this.

via Something Awful in the their TG section:
"May as well drop some rumours here.

40k will get a new edition in September. It is a minor clean up of the
current rules, they won't even be changing the cover art, and they will put
an FAQ that covers the changes online. It's basically an amended reprint.

There will be two new campaign books this year, covering Blood Angels, Grey
Knights, Tyranids and Orks, and will include formations for all of them.
This is because they are the pre-formation codexes.

The studio knows there are problems with the Ork book, but there is no
clear direction as to where they want to go with it in balancing it with
the current codices beyond minor rewrites and adding formations. Ork Clan
formations are very likely.

GW are married to formations now, and will give the studio a brief of
things like do some formations for an army and how much the formation
should cost to buy the models for, ie a £200 formation.

On fantasy there will be a tournament format for AoS with points. The sales
plummeted for AoS but the current fantasy range sales look healthier than
before the change (though how much this is people buying stuff to finish
their collections I wasn't told). Feedback on the rules was incredibly
poisonous, and GW want to move past it and heal.

Bretonnians were going to be in the next WFB starter before it was scrapped
in favour of AoS, meaning there are some lovely plastics that made it to
prototyping that will likely never be seen now, including a hero on
hippogriff better than the Elf Prince from Island of Blood.

Lord of the Rings will include both the Strategy Battle Game and a new
version of War of the Ring where it is possible to play a ranked up fantasy
game, because Forgeworld know there is a gap in the market.

Forgeworld will have finished their new production facility at some point
next month, though they will not be available to order to store until the
production quality issues are solved and they can produce in the volume and
quality required.

GW will be launching an anonymous feedback system for staff next month, for
a number of reasons. Such as 50% of staff not passing 3 month probation and
25% of staff left not finishing the year, which is an eye watering turnover
even for retail. These will be gone through for action points, and followed
up at monthly meetings.

Kirby is now gone, and everyone is rejoicing because the new CEO plays the
game, won't force people out for telling it to him like it is (as Kirby did
to Alessio Calvatore after his presentation to the board where he told them
they were pricing out kids, which meant Jervis came back from holiday to
find out Alessio had resigned rather than be fired) and actively wants to
listen to people.

Forgeworlds star has been rising because of Horus Heresy and Betrayal at
Calth, and there are behind the scenes discussions about FW being delivered
to store and the Specialist Games range being available through the store.

The new store planograms are here to stay, though some stores don't have
enough shelving units.

Kirby in his new adviser to the board hasn't attended a single meeting now
the reins of power have passed to Kev Rountree, because they always seem to
be held when he is unavailable. Kirby also once loudly and publicly
announced no one played games and rules didn;t matter in a Throne of Skulls
tournament."

http://natfka.blogspot.de/2016/04/40k-and-aos-rumors-blood-angels.html

The readers here are just awesome for keeping their eyes and ears open. Here is a bit that gives a little insight that 1; Blood Angels up is coming, and 2; formations with assaults from deepstrike (nasty).

Please remember that this is a rumor. Managers are supposedly getting more information nowadays, but still give this the normal "rumor" status.

via BigBangA1 on Faeit 212 (thank you)
I am actually really interested in the new Blood Angel Campaign. I was at my the GW store in my area and had a chat with the manager there. He said he knew a Blood Angel update was coming and he was super excited for it. He said it featured formations with "assaults from deepstrike everywhere."

http://natfka.blogspot.de/2016/04/more-hints-of-blood-angels.html

And

Seriously?, this is rather cool. Games Workshop will be launching a Global Campaign within a few weeks/months time. The details are still be worked on. Also new start up kits with low price points as low as £5 and up. That will be interesting.

This comes from a good source, who has been correct in the past about many things. Games Workshop is definitely building the hype for the Age of Sigmar. (as a 40k player.... yea I am jealous)

via anonymous sources on Faeit 212
There will be a globel campaign for AoS coming up in a few weeks/months time.
It will have it's own website.
A living map.
All results will lead into the next book.
Details are still being finished.
A new start up section is coming for AoS with kits starting at £5 up.
On the finance front.
AoS is actually doing as well if not better then 40k in some areas.
There has been a decline in shop sales but with summer coming GW hope this should pick up.
Also.
No more leaks!
GW are going are no longer going to be holding back info.
You will know as soon as it happens.

A whole bunch of silliness from Frontline Gaming.

https://www.frontlinegaming.org/2016/07/19/signals-from-the-frontline-451-bao-recap/

GW’s flagship game has been rather quiet in recent months and AOS has been stealing the headlines in the meantime. I’m here to tell you that 40k is coming back in a big way.

-This year we’re going to see the start of something called “The time of Ending!” Games Workshop is going to advance the storyline.

-You’ve all heard the rumors of plastic Deamon Primarchs. I’m here to tell you they aren’t the only ones. Before Christmas this year we’re going to see the release of some loyalists as well.

-ROGAL DORN is going to be the first loyalist release. This is going to be a plastic kit specifically designed for 40k. He’ll be missing one of his hands, in it’s place will be a ranged weapon of some kind (this detail was quite sketchy however)

-Other Loyalists will also be returning eventually. Guilliman will be fully healed alongside some other surprises.
Here’s a big development: Some of the Primarchs will return to lead forces OTHER than their original Legions/Chapters, and will have different allegiances.

-Alpharius (or Omegon?) will be fighting against the forces of Chaos, whilst the Khan might return to battle the Imperium! (These details were sketchy and I believe these might just be examples)

-The plastic Primarchs will be specifically for 40k with different sets of rules, looks and wargear ALTHOUGH there might be overlap with some of the existing FW models.

-Magnus and Angron from the traitor side initially, followed by Perturabo. Angron is going to be a really big, imposing model

-Horus Heresy second boardgame will be released around November this year. People should be excited about this!

-Plastic Warhound will not be released this year.

-Warhammer 40k 8th edition will have 2 tiers of game. A streamlined version and more advanced play. Also free downloads for rules in the same way as AoS will start this year following the next campaign book. This will not be for all of the rules however.

-The time of Ending will lead into 8th edition which is out next year.

I do appreciate the work you put into this, it's awesome!

It is getting a bit hard to parse, though. Would it make more sense for it to be a google spreadsheet of some sort instead?
