Not that I am the type to jump to conclusions or to conclude that no noise = noise (of a bad kind).

I'm willing to be very, very patient because I'd rather have the quality of the first wave. But I want my girls...

Hahah yeah, I don't mind delays - not as though we can play these in the Eisenkern game yet anyway. As you say, the quality of these minis is the essential thing, speed, even price can change substantially as far as I'm concerned. If it has to... but ideally not ; )

Walked into my FLGS today, they had Dreamforge stuff . I picked up a box of the heavy weapons.

They were sold out of the main boxes of stormtroopers, and the Leviathans- 2 were actually in the process of being assembled at the store!

Awesome to say the least

That is pure awesome for sure. Next time im at my LGS (its an hour away) Ill have to ask if they know anything about Dreamforge, and get them in on it if they dont. Actually I think Ill do the same for Blackwater Gulch, Id love to see that on their shelves as well.

Here's proof of it, btw . They also said they'd be contacting Dreamforge to see if they work directly with retailers, I told them I think DF does!

Pretty fantastic to just walk in and see this there along with a fully assembled one on the main counter to entice folks to buy!

That looks great RITides. But what is that clear piece under his foot? First thing that came to mind is it was wearing ice skates.

I too would like to get an update of sorts soon. I know Mark said it was nose-to-the-grindstone time now where he couldn't frequent the various forums in the interests of getting things done, but some type of news (even less-than-awesome news) would still be nice.

I asked my FLGS the other day about getting a Crusader in and they're checking their suppliers; yeah I already have two but I find merchants to be more willing to look at things when it's not their money tied up in it just yet.

Hopefully that means he's doing the stuff for Wave 2. Last update we got was that WGF/China hadn't even started asking him for the Wave 2 info/details/files/etc.

It's a GW ruins. This was just someone's WIP model at the store, they're clearly using it for Space Wolves . I think they had or were in the process of magnetizing the arms, though, which definitely seems like the way to go with this kit.

...why? You can screw the arms on or off by design; no need for magnets as far as I can see?

Oh, maybe that's it then...!

Remember that I have 10 of the resin ones so I only admire these huge Leviathans from afar, I'm sticking with my 5" tall ones and adding loads of infantry / heavy weapons / black widows / vehicles

Looks to me there is a piece of clear round acrylic rod supporting those ruins underneath the front of the left foot, which could be quite a good idea if the owner plans to make the leviathan removable from that base. Otherwise the pose will be set, so why not glue the joints on the Leviathan up and then glue the ruins onto the bottom of the foot? That way you'd get enough support and wouldn't need the extra acrylic.

It might just be a temporary support. You know, no need to take chances and ensure better support so you can still easily reach the bottom of pieces without the base being in the way while painting.

To answer your question on stage 2, I am not sure exactly where we are.

I know they are and have been working on everything and that we will not be making the deadline listed for stage 2 but I do not have a firm date as to when they will be on the water. Once I get sprue layouts and requests for box art I will be able to give an estimate for stage 2 but that has not crossed my desk yet.

I think we are on track to make up some of the three month delay from stage 1 but how much time we will make back is still an unknown. I will post an update as soon as I have anything semi firm with the dates.
I have been working on stage three, doing some test prints to make sure everything is working out with the fit on the heavy troopers.

Any resemblance of this post to written English is purely coincidental.

good to get some form of update on stage 2. seeing all the goodness to come out of stage 1 I kinda wish Id pledged for the full Mortis and not just the mini-mortis

at the moment my attitude to all the kickstarters Ive pledged to is "Meh, it'll get here eventually" - Ive essentially paid for a delivery at some point in the future

With the Shadokesh releases being at an unkown point in the future, I decided to build mine and convert it a bit for use in a fantasy setting, Song of Blades and Heroes to be exact.

Nice conversion! My Shadokesh is currently hanging out with my Dark Eldar until Mark's next kickstarter.

OOOOOh. Stealing that idea (different weapon though). Thanks man!

We're going to catch up? Nice... so if we kept the same delay, that would have meant deliveries in June and August. This means I could get a good chunk of the assembly and painting done during the summer break... excellent!

That does indeed look good! Although a very "fantasy" proportioned axe (could be a bit of it being closer to the camera too, though)

And thanks very much for the post, Mark!

Its a GW bit, so it is a bit large, also its a 2 handed axe. I figure its all good since it will be used with other fantasy figures, most of which tend toward (or are) heroic sculpts.

I built him and Ada to get myself back into the plastic model building groove. I just finished 60+ points of Cygnar for Warmachine, Ive had my fill of resin and superglue for a while. Next project is the Crusader, hopefully starting it later this week or weekend.

With April being next week, I don't see anything going through production to fulfillment in 2 months (June) if they haven't asked Mark for any of the box art, etc..

Well... maybe printing will be super-quick? I don't know, I'm reaching. Even if we keep the current delays, we'd be ok. It would give me enough time to finish most of my classes before the Valkirs got here, so much the better.

Speaking of the Valkir, after seeing the awesomeness of the Stormtrooper accessory sprues, we should beat Mark until he makes some for the Valkir too.

Thanks for the update Mark! Hopefully they'll get back to you about what needs doing soon. I don't know why I'm in a hurry when I'm just now finishing up the first model (and it's not even in a color scheme I'd use, it's for a friend).

That's an excellent idea Mad4Minis for a Chaotic leader; I really like the posing there.

A Chaotic warband is exactly what its going for. Ive got some old OOP metal WHFB chaos, some old Warzone Dark Legion, and a few other things pulled from here and there.

Well, went ahead and took the plunge. Placed an order with the Warstore for a 20-pack of troopers and an accessory kit. These are just too good to pass up. Also planning on throwing my hat in the ring for a job. Mark, are those job listings still open, specifically the creative and technical writing ones?

Ive always been a fan of fantasy/tech stuff like that. Kinda making me think if the Shadokesh kickstarter comes next I might need a whole bunch, some for scifi, some to convert to fantasy.

But what I really really really want is Protectorate. Protectorate tanks. Big tanks. Big clanking crush the skulls of your enemies under the treads tanks.

I finished painting and basing one of my 5 Ada models. Not the greatest pic, but here she is tracking down an enemy Leviathan.

Next up, learning some new paint techniques. I really want my Crusader and other DFG models to stand out, and need to get better with a brush.
