Hi does anyone have or know about sci-fi gang / soldier models with epic poses? Preferably plastic/resin for convertability, but metal is also ok. Have tried the simple solution of using GW Imperial Guards unit box to make gangs before, but they are not original and look so generic.

Maybe something similar to Orlock or Cawdor. I want some female gangers too. I want models that has more focus on gang-feeling than the countless warrior/soldier models.

Restrictions:

-not Delaque
-not all-female gang like Escher

I've found one good source:

http://gaming.yaktribe.org/community/threads/alternative-miniature-sources-image-heavy.15/

But there's just so much to look through. Some links/stores are outdated or has a very limited relevant selection of products. It is difficult to make up a complete gang with a uniting theme, so maybe just go with a rag-tag team and unite them with paint scheme instead.

I have enough weapon bits so that is not important.

Have you made a new original looking Necromunda gang lately? Care to tell what models you used? Any recommendations?

How about Judge Dredd minis? Metal only but I think they fit the bill.

Also WFB Chaos Marauders can easily be made to look like Goliaths, if you have spare 40k weapons

I used a combination of IG &.cultist parts to make an ash wastes nomads gang, SM scout & IG parts to make VanSaar & several others.

Have a look. I haven't updated in awhile, been busy, but might give you some inspiration: http://gaming.yaktribe.org/community/threads/ash-wastes-gangs.3229/

Wow that is loads of inspiration and perfect conversions for Necromunda. I do however want to avoid the Imperial Guard bits because for me they're too easy to spot cause I worked with them before. And they are quite commonly used for Necromunda. Scouts are a great idea for a basis of VanSaar as you mention. But I do want a gang that looks less military and more street-thug like.

I have made my choice however, scattered purchases all over. I would like to highlight a few awesome findings:

Hasselfree miniatures has loads of relevant miniatures, however not enough models of one design to fill a whole gang. No matter what my gang is going to be, this model will be included:

And some really good looking Orlock-ish female gangers:

Theyre even call Crowmantia. And the seperate guns you can buy is probably a bonus too.

Yeah thanks I was looking at those too. The models do fit perfectly, it's difficult to not sound completely unsatisfiable but the models are low on character and diversity, too "mono-pose". Not enough dramatic and individual poses... But still one of the best prices and design for House Cawdor models. And model for heavy is a huge bonus.

The least expensive, while giving you a ton of options, and being easy to work with being plastic, are the Wargames Factory Apocalyptic Survivors - 30 figures for $21.95 MSRP

They are a bit more true scale than 40K chunky, but they'll look great next to each other.

Added bonus, each box includes 3 Juvies

Those are some funny models, would be great basis for a Necromunda gang! Certainly no military look at all. Even has a heavy!

You could buy one of the two Necromunda gangs that fit you restrictions that I have for sale in the Swap Shop

But in all seriousness, Space Marine Scouts do make great conversion fodder for Necromunda. I have seen a number of great gangs made from those. Also, I have seen some Van Saar gangs converted from Eldar Guardians for a slightly higher tech feel.

Oh, and Fantasy Empire Flagellants make a great Redemptionist gang with minor conversions.

Chaos cultists from 40k starter are good gang. Dead zone and raging heroes also have good models for necromunda.

Sedition wars, haslefree, prodos warzone and even dust tactics mini's could be used for necromunda.

As Cawdor have a historical look about them, have you thought about using Empire or Bretonian models?

Bye bye Dakkadakka, happy hobbying! I really enjoyed my time on here. Opinions were always my own :-)
