Not entierly true, Orks have been somewhat cowardly since 2nd ed fluff.
The recent codicies have done nothing to discredit or enforce this more than it is.

As I said, Orks in numbers are bullies, thats the way they have been written since way back when.

if your going to quote me in your signature spell my name right!

Orks have always been cowards I understand that, but they brought it to new heights in this edition.

Just look how cowardly orks were at Niz-pazar.... and that 2nd-3rd edition fluff.

I imagine Orks retreating is similar to a child losing at a game. They flip the board, yelling about how the game is stupid and how much it sucks, taking their toys home. Once they've had a breather they're back the next day playing the game again.

That's actually a brilliant way to put it

And the Angels of Darkness descended on pinions of fire and light... the great and terrible dark angels.
He was not the golden lord. The Emperor will carry us to the stars, but never beyond them. My dreams will be lies, if a golden lord does not rise.

I look to the stars now, with the old scrolls burning runes across my memory. And I see my own hands as I write these words. Erebus and Kor Phaeron speak the truth.

My hands. They, too, are golden.

That makes so much sense Mr Nobody!

And the same as an over enthusiastic child might nudge their favourite models a little bit further forward than it should move, orks can do the same with their favourite red vehicles!
