I have had a lot of requests for some interesting cake toppers. Here are two sets that I created- both of the couples independently decided that they'd like to see Doctor Who's TARDIS (Time and Relative Dimension In Space) on their wedding cakes.

First- here's what the TARDIS looked like all by itself:

The first couple wanted to be running into the TARDIS (with the door a little open). I think it is the vehicles that's taking them on their honeymoon. I like how they wanted her to seem just a little more eager to get in there than he is:

The last ones wanted their clothing to show off some of their other fandoms. For some reason, I feel like crossovers with Doctor Who just work really well- I always imagine that he can arrive in any place/time/dimension that the TARDIS takes him to:

Hell yeah! Good to see some Ravenclaw love, those Potter toppers are some of your best yet!

Did you hack up and re-sculpt some cake toppers to make those two wizards or did you use some other base figurines instead?

Lovely stuff. Always fascinating to see what people represent themselves with.

Curious, do you get any other cosplay fandoms, like LARP or furries asking you to do these?

I used to hack up cake toppers so that I could use them as armatures.

But more recently, I sculpted my own armatures to use. The finished toppers look the same- except that I've got a lot more freedom to do whatever we need to with the poses and outfits (it would have been difficult to impossible to do these kinds of robes before- especially with the two mounted on separate bases).

Nicely done. The couple running into the TARDIS is fantastic...

Thanks.

It was actually a bit of a trick to get the tardis to open like that. You can't have it really open, because there's simply no way that I could make it look right on the inside (you need a camera visual effects studio for that).

But if the door wasn't opening at all, I don't feel like we'd be able to hope for them getting inside, you know?
