I hope the Dark Eldar thing is a game like Necromunda. Even better, they release Necromunda!

On Celestine, SURELY they could have embossed the script so a wash would pick it up, vs the nightmare of that amount of freehand? :-P

Pretty sure that would compromise the integrity of the tabards that are holding up the entire model. I.e. it would create easy places for the tabards to 'snap'
Looks like tons of Freehand it is!

The Magos alone instantly made me stop caring about the Alpha Legion army i've been planning to start at the beginning of the year.

Admech, here I come!

Blood Angels, Custodes, Tzeentch, Alpha Legion, Astra Militarum, Deathwatch, Thousand Sons, Imperial Knights, Tau, Genestealer Cult.

I have a problem.

Being contrary for the sake of being contrary doesn't make you unique, it makes you annoying.

I'm sure they learnt their lesson on the whole "we want a point system". No, that's actually not sarcasm.
From what I heard AoS is a pretty good game now (I'm just not into Fantasy wargaming at all, so I have zero personal experience there), so I'm looking forward to 8th edition or whatever it's going to be called.

What a beautiful release. Can't wait for the AoS reveals tomorrow either. I don't play or plan to start any of these armies (other than maybe AdMech, DAT ARCHMAGOS), but I'm so happy to see GW doing this sort of thing.

I fear this will be the only plastic sisters we see until 8E. I also fear the Sisters codex will be copy paste for the 4th time without any of the problems fixed...

Have they said what the Gemini are? I am guessing they must be sort of mini living saints if they can appear alongside Saint Celestine.

I am hoping she gives crazy buffs to armies of the Imperium.

The Eldar (and the Dark Eldar) do have an interest in keeping the Imperium propped up. So it's not too crazy a possibility.

Or it could just be a retainer of the Ordo Hereticus Inquisitor. Typically, unless it's within their area of responsibility, an Inquisitor doesn't really care too much.

The odd thing it's that the Eldar with the inquisitor don't give a strong vibe about being fully dark Eldar, the way the helmet and the right shoulders are designed reminds me of a shinning spear.

Maybe it's Drastanta their Phoenix Lord who's been gone since Asurmen died for 1st time. (after all is the end of times and all Phoenix lord must die according to the Rhana Dhandra)

Thats quite obviously Kabalite Armour, though highly styalised (and definitely not an Incubus Warsuit), that helmet is actually identical to one on the Kabalite Warrior sprue. I expect him to be an Archon, or maybe a Dracon.

Normal Sisters fight alongside St C but we have no info on these two ladies other than their name.

I think that Magos may be the all-time best single mini GW has ever put out.... overwhelming detail and spot on faithful design... love it.

Celestine and co... I dunno... a little plain???

There were rumors of a sisters vs dark eldar starter set. How much you want to bet they mistook this boardgame? I bet it will be DE vs Sisters.

I think the Sisters boxed thing might be Sisters & Black Templars vs Cadian Gate (Chaos), some sort of campaign at the very least judging from the warhammer TV clip.

If it was Sisters vs DE what kits would the DE get? What are the missing? Grotesques, Beastmasters + beasts and Incubi are all I can think of atm.

Special characters are really the only DE models that need a kid update, IMO. They need new rules more than they need new models.

Grotesques, Incubi, Mandrakes, Beastmasters + Beasts, Vect, potentially Bloodbrides and Trueborn. Not counting any new units. But agreed on the new rules. Make the Void Raven half decent again!

Okay, GW. What the hell? I just got to the point where my current pile of shame is at a manageable level, and you go and leak both Tzeentch Arcanites and SoB in one day! Is there a word for the emotional combination of elation and exasperation?

Pretty sure that's exactly how the Mechanicus get dressed in the morning.

I think Celestine suffers from being released alongside the fantastic miniatures that are Belisarius Cawl and Inquistor Greyfax, to be honest. It's a good model, but those two are amazing models.

Really hoping to see a paint scheme on that Saint so the wings are almost blended to produce the image of blazing wings and make sword all fiery while the eyes are white hot with fury!

I can't see this character being the only plastic sister, it doesn't make sense to have players collect a shiny new plastic hero and then have to take out a mortgage for the old metal stuff.

That Celestine could look pretty sweet if you add her chains back on her feet and fray her robes a little bit. Just giving her a slightly more grimdark twist.
So a little bit more of this:

The Magos is a perfect sculpt. It's exactly what Mechanicum is and strives to be. That look just doesn't suit everyone, it seems.

Blood Angels, Custodes, Tzeentch, Alpha Legion, Astra Militarum, Deathwatch, Thousand Sons, Imperial Knights, Tau, Genestealer Cult.

I have a problem.
