Celestine was originally and still usually is in GW images and fluff. The order specific schemes you see on the internet are all fan based.

I think we will get some formations for SoB, hopefully some dag nabbin SoB tactical cards. Of course Sisters figured quite heavily in the Leviathon stuff and we know what the Sisters got out of that.

I have a St. Celestine already, the Gemini will give me something to do with all my Seraphim Superiors. I will be buying the book and Inquisitor Carfax and looking forward to it.

However I have heard that \\the Saint comes in a box set with 2 bodyguards, no other plastic sisters at this time.

It seems like Sisters will be coming out in steadily trickles. Canoness at Christmas, Saint in January, etc. Rather than one big "Here are all your toys" like the Dark Eldar.

SeanDrake wrote:
Fluff wise she is leading the Black Templar contingent at the Fall of Cadia?. No I have no idea why either but there you go.

Why not? The Black Templars are one of the few 'religious' Chapters. It makes sense they'd fall in behind a LIVING SAINT.

Which is weird, cause thousand sons just got everything handed over just like the DE. So trickling with the sisters is a bit weird. But now that they at least have some CADs done, we can expect that any further models will share the same look at least. It could still be a few months or more away then. Cause they have to do the DE box game, Tzeentch, a couple Blood Bowl releases...then theres a possible Death Guard/Nurgle wave. At this point anything could happen.

As for the tech magos dude, well I hope anyone who buys it strongly considers doing it in sub assemblies...cause painting that thing is going to be a mission.

The logic sounds good to me, let's just see if GW agrees! I'd likely get a small Sisters force to work my Guard if they came out in plastic with a solid codex.

You just never know with GW, do you?

I too would be interested in collecting Sisters at a later date if a full release comes to fruition - a full metal army is a no go for me, but otherwise Sisters are very tempting to me as an addition to my other Imperial armies. Make it happen GW!

Hmm maybe Saint Celestine gets the eldrad treatment (in death masque) and we end up getting a formation of Saint Celestine leading a black Templars force.

They are really following the current (i.e. 20 years old?) aesthetic.
They are closer to the original Sisters release than from the 2003 one (well, they are similar to the old Celestine and 2003 new special/heavy weapon sisters, but they happily didn't go for the aesthetic of the 2003 Canonness, or the 2003 repentia mistress).

I think it's inevitable he'll see a model, but given that he's the antagonist of the entire line it could reasonably arrive at any time.

I really hope we see plastic sister models for the regular troops. But it's odd the way GW are pushing the metal ones on their webstore.

Really great work by GW - I will be buying the book, St C and the Twins, the Inquistor and likely the Magos.

Looking forward to seeing what else they have for 2017.

Makes perfect sense if they're really coming out with plastic. After all, if they do come out with plastic sisters, who on earth is going to buy their metal stock? Makes sense they'd try and get rid of it now so they're left with as little of the old models as possible.

Maybe, but I can't see many people except die hard fans of those clunky metal sculpts paying those prices. If they really wanted to get rid of them wouldn't it make sense to have a sale? Hah, what am I talking about...GW....a sale...heresy!!

I guess they're located too far away from wherever they're doing the "Made to Order" casting to just chuck the unsold metal sisters into the melting pot.

That makes absolutely no sense. The metal used to make miniatures can be melted and re-used or formed into ingots (we use bread baking pans for this) to store, sell or otherwise.

That costs money in (mostly) man hours to do. Much better to just sell them and be done with it.

Trust me, it makes sense.

If my options as a business owner are

A) sell outdated stock before we drop the new model

or

B)melt down old model on my own dime and then try to make it into new product

I'm gonna pick A every time.

Remember, you can melt it down in a bread baking pan for free, GW has to pay people for that. Throw in the premium they make on sisters models compared to other metal models, and I'd be wanting to sell any leftover sisters too.

Sorry, but that's not how it works.

Have you got any idea how much effort it takes to sell stock that isn't moving? However you go about it, selling a product that isn't naturally turning over requires an investment in time and money which could easily draw parity with what it would take to melt it down.

Even sitting on product until it eventually naturally sells out while doing nothing else has a cost attached to it.

Always fun to play around in gimp and try out new schemes. If this ends up panning out into a full sisters release I've been spending some time thinking about potential paint schemes.

After those Valorous Heart sisters turned out so well in killteam I've been really liking the black robes with white linings, but a different armour colour is in line, I think.

My original sisters scheme was a green with white robes, it still contrasts well with black, but I wonder if maybe I would instead want the green to be less rich, more military. Like what you see on guard tanks.

Spoiler:

Alternatively, I really liked the metalic red people were making with the thousand sons using silver undercoats and gem paints, might look good for a straight up Bloody Rose army...

Spoiler:

But I'm leaning more and more towards the silver armour, I think the black robes gives it a much needed contrast that I always felt was missing from the standard Argent Shroud theme:

Your actually both right. It all depends on the math of the situation. It could be cheaper for them to sell it off or if sales are just so bad keeping it costs more then it could be cheaper to just dump at cost to prevent an even bigger cost and then start making money on something more profitable.

They don't have to dump any of it. They have the made to order section on the webpage where they're making metal models to ship. That means they already fired up the lot to melt the invite down.

Literally all they have to do is tear open the packaging and dump in the sisters. All of their stock issues are fixed with no extra effort required on their part.

The armor remind me more of a mounted knight.. my personal vibe it's a possible Drastanta ( Shinning spears Phoenix lord) also the belt looks a lot like a soulstone between two wings...

If we are close to the end of times, all surviving Phoenix Lords should appear somewhere in order to fullfill the prophecy of Rhana Dhandra, but i think Arhra it's a good possibility too if GW don't go the it was drazhar all along.

Pretty much. I really like the way the narrative is headed and am excited about the advancement of the plot.......BUT

It could also be the "midichlorians" of 40k. GW needs to proceed VERY carefully. We don't need anymore Grey Knights killing sisters for their blood and nonsense like that. If they really are going to do this, they need to go slow. Pray to the emperor that they have their best writers on this.
