Not sure if this is quite the right place for this, if it isn't then please accept my apologies and feel free to request it to be moved.

I've just received 2 Catalyst Missile Launchers from Quantum Gothic and I thought I'd post a mini review of the products.

The launchers were extremely well packed (layers of bubble wrap around everything) and both sets came with comprehensive illustrated instructions. There's not a lot to the launchers (about 10 pieces of resin per kit) but the instructions are detailed and clear. The quality of the casting is also extremely good, there was one air bubble in one of the items but it was in a non-critical area and will be pretty easily patched with a bit of Milliput or some GS. There was one gate still in evidence on one of the valves (the other kit had none) but it was nice and thin and easily trimmed without damaging the very thin valve itself. There was almost no flash with just a tiny bit in valves but again this was easily cleaned with a sharp knife. A few pieces had slight mould lines present but these were only very minor.

Casting detail was crisp and most importantly everything fits together first time without having to make any adjustments.

I'm on my third forgeworld kit so far and the Quantum Gothic stuff has been head and shoulders above forgeworld in terms of assembly. I will say in Forgeworlds defence, I have no idea how many casts QG have done from their moulds so this could well account for the casting quality.

I've not got around to painting them up yet, I'm just about to go and scrub them to remove any release agent, but on the whole I've been delighted with them. My only slight gripe would be the length of time from ordering to receiving them (almost 3 weeks), but this is somewhat understandable from a small producer.

Awesome terrain pieces, not to mention that they fit perfectly with the grimdark.

Yeah sorry I should have added a pic for people that hadn't seen it before.

They're also adding a new Sat dish kit which would make for a nice retro look Hyperios air defence system.

Yeah, I got two as well. I was VERY impressed also. I will probably get some more of their stuff in the future.

I used mine for my Manticores:

Awesome stuff.

The gate kit for fortifications is an awesome idea and well executed, especially the ability to customize the width.

The rocket launcher is also beautiful.
