Second reason is that I am looking for a evil aligned army (main army is Dwarfs), and you cannot get anymore evil than Deamons. The problem is that I know VERY little of about this Army, both in WHFB and WH40k. I have played Deamons probably 3 times in 40k (I used to play IG), and never in Fantasy. So I have a couple of questions for you guys. Keep in mind that the 40k related questions are just for curiosity, my main focus is WHFB and 40k would be something I would do if I show up at my FLGS and cant find a Fantasy game.
1. Is it viable to run a Mono-God Army in either WHFB or 40k?
2. How effective is DoC in 8th?
3. What are some of the things you normally see as broken in both a bad and good way with this army?
4. When do you think it will get an updated book?
5. Were I to get the army brand new how much would you expect to pay for a Mono-God or Bi-God model count to field a viable (tournament wise 2400ish points) army?
6. How does it differ in viable models from Fantasy to 40k?
7. Is it effective in 40k?
8. Which God's are the most favored in tournament play? Why?
Well that is it for now, I thank you greatly.
Grix.
Mono-god armies are viable but depends on the god I'd rank them
Khorne
Slaanesh
Tzeentch
Nurgle
Their still pretty nails but their not pretty much auto-win like they were in seventh, you actually have to try now
hordes of bloodletters/daemonettes are nice, bloodcrushers are fairly decent but flamers are still unbelievably good
2013/2014
Depends on what god you go for Nurgle's models are all metal so very pricey (didn't stop me though)
Not sure what you mean on this one
competitive lists in both aren't particularly transferable
Khorne/Slaanesh but if your going magic heavy tzeentch, never nurgle (that's my thing)
hope this helps
