my concept is simple.
lots of similar units
everything threatens everything.

Warriors and trueborn attack while the Wracks stay behind with their haemy and hold an objective. if needed they ditch their raider.

thoughts?

I'm not a big fan of large groups of wracks. I think they're generally more efficient as objective holders (6+ armor becomes a lot more tolerable when you can go to ground and get a 3+ cover save). Your mileage may vary.

They are objective holders
8 with the haemy forces opponent to kill 3 with cover and FNP before forcing a LD check.
Thats 18 wounds that need to be inflicted
Assuming Necrons(worst opponent in this situation)
18 wounds with bs 4 and s5 vs t3 is 32 shots.
thats nice and durable for me.

Also note we play a 2v2 variant of the game which counts kills and captures equally(although captures are per turn held basis)

Not sure about the Wracks honestly. Almost your entire list is about shooting, so I would take out the Haemy and Wracks, and use the 225 points for something else.

For those points, I would add Duke Sliscus instead of the Haemy, take out the Wrackes, and use those 75 points to increase the 5-man Kabalite squad to 9, and increase the other two to 7.

The Duke will travel around with the 9-man squad, now giving them 3+ poisoned weapons.

EDIT1: If you are using the Wracks as objective holders, then you are doing it wrong. The DE do not defend. They attack. Your objective holding starts and ends with you moving 36 inches with a raider to contest/capture an objective.

Go here to learn how you should play DE: http://www.dakkadakka.com/wiki/en/Dashofpepper%27s_Guide_To_Winning_With_Dark_Eldar

EDIT2: Sorry if that sounded a bit harsh. It was not intended to be like that. Still though, the DE are designed to attack, not defend. Use your mobility. Move units around, make your opponent react to you.

I like this idea but i need something to hold an objective(see above)
the wracks are their for durability
Also is sliscus really worth his points for a 16% wound increase on 9 warriors?
as the opponent id simply shoot down that raider first and then not worry about it much.
its not like its hard to kill 1 raider. 3 raiders 3 venoms and 3 ravagers on the other hand.

EDIT:
Again
Have read
understand this holy
this is how i play.
NIDS, ORKS, TAU, SW my style is always to hit as hard as possible.
However we play in a specific scenario where holding objectives over periods of time is part of the goal. to justify dropping the wracks i need to bring in something that will score 1 extra kill every turn.

If youre going for a close combat squad, I honestly think that youd be better served by using whyches, of course thats a point of personal preference for me. For 160 points you could get 9 whyches with a hydra gauntlet. And never. Ever. Camp objectives. You tend to either win big or lose big, even in objective matches and even with a gone to gound 3+ cover save, DE arent built for camping. You should have every part of your army sharpened to a point for killing, maiming, murdering and slaughtering. youre fast enough to grab and contest objectives in turn 5, or later turns as games usually continue past turn 5

The problem with Sathonyx, in this case, is that he does not sync well with anything. You have a mech army, one that Sahonyx would be ill-suited for. What he is suited for however, are Beastmaster squads.

I still contend that the Duke would be best suited to this list. Really, whatever HQ you choose should complement the rest of your army. With it being ranged, your HQ should also be ranged. Besides the Duke, the only other HQ that I see being good in this list would be a normal Archon with at least a blaster, and put with one of the Trueborn squads.

Overall though, the Duke would work the best with this list IMO, but wait for more peoples advice, as I may have missed something.

My problem with duke is he is more expensive for a small buff to a single unit. Meanwhile the baron offers something that benefits my army greatly. Better chance of first turn.

True. Getting that alpha-strike as DE is not imperative to have, but makes winning significantly easier.

So the first trial was succesfull.
What I noticed was at times I had far to much anti tank and at others far to much anti infantry. I would often point at a venom or raider and say I wish you were a raider/venom
The warriors do not survive after the transport is down so I take it as though they are simply part of the vehicle. That way I'm not expecting them to live.

yeah, unless they have FNP, which is why we often as DE Generals have to bring our nifty mutated Haemonculi for our whyches, they often dont survive a vehicle explosion, much less the ensuing anti infantry fire directed at them afterwards.

You dont have to ask to ignore objectives as Dark Eldar. Its war for the 2 hours or so that youre playing. your friend is your enemy. be polite and sportsman like but dont let your guard down for an instant. camping objectives is the single dumbest thing you can do with an army that is all about killing power but not being able to take hits. if every part f your army isnt trying to kill something, then its already useless

no its a 2v2 game so my teammate would be responsible for holding them

I use Wracks for simply being different to look at... I hate an all wych or all kabs lists....

I use, Kabs, Wyches, Wracks and Incubi in most of my lists... Variety is the spice of life... and anyone who tells you incubi or wracks are no good are clueless...
