I'm pretty set on wanting to take that many trolls, and thinking it'd be best to horde them up and just go for it rather than split them up into smaller units. I also want to take the Daemon Prince, since it fits my theme better than a sorcerer, although it will be a bummer having no scroll with the nasty magic likely at the event (no restrictions).

What I'm wondering about it is how the dragon ogres fit in (run them up a flank) and whether or not to put the BSB with them or with the non-Throgg troll unit. Also, considering dropping Stream of Corruption to get either:

1) A better ward save on the BSB, with 5 points left to play with
2) A deamonic gift on the DP instead (Bloodcurdling Roar or Fury of the Blood God)

Thoughts appreciated! Right now I'm leaning towards giving the DP the gift, but will think about...

I think you should find room for a unit of warriors and a wizard. A level 1 with third eye is all well and good, until that awkward moment when you face dwarfs with nothing but flickering fire. put the warriors in the middle of your line with the trolls on either side and you've got a deeply scary, very fast list which can mutant-regen its way to even greater scariness.

I'd go for the better ward save on the BSB, as that guy will be getting a lot of hate in CC.
You could drop a dragon ogre, put the BSB with them (run 4x2), and use the points to pick up some war hounds to screen/redirect/block charge lanes. Or you could use the points for more magic levels on your prince.

I am definitely feeling the lack of hounds :-/ so definitely something I'm considering! The problem with dropping a dragon ogre, is they're on 40mm bases and the daemonic mount is on a 50mm, so he still gets stuck on the side of the unit.

@ Malleus, I don't own any warriors, although I do have a sorcerer on disk. Hoping not to have to use him here, he doesn't look as good as the daemon prince and people are always asking me which is the sorcerer and which is the BSB when I use them both on disks . I guess it burned me out on them since I currently have neither in this list!

If I up the ward save on the BSB, I think the last 5 points won't have a home... unless I drop charmed shield for a normal shield, to give him something like the Ironcurse Icon or the like.

Edit: Although I have a feeling that I'm going to try out Bloodcurdling Roar on the DP, as Salvage swears by it

Doh! I was thinking the D.ogres were on 50's.

It may be a little over kill tho. Allow me to clarify.
At 2.5k a horde of trolls and throgg lost 4 trolls as well as 1 wound off throgg against a doc army which they single ahndedly walked through.

Then the same horde of 19 including throgg turned a vc army back into powder single handed again.

So this should do nicely against most things just dont let them catch on fire.

That list makes me want to take SC's

Yeah cowpow, not sure what I'll do against flaming! My last attempt at a 3K tourney was running 1 horde of trolls and 1 of ogres- but they ogres just couldn't pull their weight. Also had 2 hellcannons in that list (another no restrictions event) but they underperformed... I'm hoping the dragon ogres will take people by surprise. They cost a ton, but hit Really hard... ideally, they'd face giant monsters with their S7, but I won't really be able to choose my battles with so few units- they'll probably have to go after whatever's closest.
