Oooooooh man. Could you link to where you saw those? I guess I'll find out tomorrow, but I am totally in for that and possibly the "giant slug monster" too, as that sounds right up my alley!
*This is despite my having originally put in for a dragon, then bailed on it years ago while that was still an option. I've also successfully ordered other models from him in the interim. I know he's been through tough times, and honestly Kickstarter seems perfect for him- get an influx of funds in, close the shop for a few months, and crank out some resin monsters.

Well, I hope that Kickstarter isn't actually for dragons- that thing has been a millstone around his neck. I think other, slightly smaller monsters, are hopefully what's in store. I would be very hesitant to pledge for that dragon- I think he just wants to get through the queue of them he is obligated to finish, and be done with that thing... right? This is speculation, would love to hear from someone who has followed it more closely.

Not for the dragons alone- just to chivvy him along with the material cost of making them. The models are the rewards for helping him do it.

Well, I went for a Monster Mash early bird pledge- at the size of some of these, 10 pounds apiece is really nice. Lots of early birds to be had on the campaign, too, but not a lot in any one category! I'm hoping he'll clarify what categories some of the stretch goal models might be in.
Has anyone here seen the "Terror Grubs" that he mentioned selling at Salute, and that angel mentioned above? I can't seem to find a pic anywhere (if he has a WIP thread or somesuch on his forum please feel free to jut point me to it!).
This has to be one of the most worthy Kickstarters I have seen, genuinely helping out a small garage business to produce miniatures, and great to see some of these miniatures going on sale again.
Will work out a good pledge level and go from there - will be great to get some extra stuff to pad out the dungeons for Heroquest and Dwarf Lords Saga, and will almost certainly be starting with that Demon lord that looks rather like Tim Curry in Legend!

Aside from being horribly confusing, Im not comfortable backing someone to produce a kit hes already had two years to produce and done done, thats not even related to this kickstarter. Its utterly baffling.

I think he's done extremely well all things considered. He's suffered many a setback due to the recession and various other traumas. I think once he's got this dragon thing nailed down (which seems to be VERY SOON looking at his KS page now) he'll be OK I think.

While it took him a while to get me my dragon, the figure is indeed freakin' awesome! - I am very glad to have it, and I consider it worth the wait.
And the Kickstarter has now reached its goal, and a bit beyond.

The thing with Heresy though is that Andy is such a stand up guy that if his Kickstarter was just a blank page saying that if you pledge something - you will get something cool that is worth it...I would likely take him up on that. I have been a customer of his for 10 years, and have never been disappointed by any of the purchases I have made.
About the only other company I would be willing to go in for sight unseen would be Hasslefree (would love to see a Kickstarter from Kevin).
I do hope that this one gets more new big stuff. I have most these from before the "bankers" got involved and they are beautiful.
I'm a little surprised that Hasslefree hasn't done a Kickstarter yet, actually.
I think I'd be interested in backing this. I like the looks of a lot of Heresy's stuff. If any of his sci-fi stuff winds up being available during this KS, I'll absolutely back it.
Not sure Hasslefree need a kickstarter as they seem so organised and on top of what they are producing, from the outside they seem the best ran small mini company. Their limiting factor seems to be the speed Kev can work at more than funding related.
I'm in for a winged netherlord and a big boris for now, might extend my pledge later if Andy adds in some bits that take my fancy.
I've been a customer of Heresy for the last decade or so. I don't think I've been disappointed at all by anything.
Balance in pick up games? Two people, each with their own goals for the game, design half a board game on their own without knowing the layout of the board and hope it all works out. Good luck with that. The faster you can find like minded individuals who want the same things from the game as you, the better.
