The USA WTC Committee will begin accepting resumes for the 2015 USA WTC Team January 1, 2015 through January 15, 2015. Resumes may be submitted to
jay@discountgamesinc.com. Resumes will be voted on from January 16, 2015 to January 30, 2015. The results of the voting will be announced onJanuary 31.
USA WTC Team Members must be able to travel to the WTC event and must have the financial capability to cover the entire cost of the event. Fund raising may be able to help defray some expenses, but the Team Member should be prepared to cover all expenses. The event is expected to cost approximately $2000.
Team Members are expected to actively communicate with fellow their Team Members, the USA WTC Coach, and the USA WTC Committee. Team Members are expected to take the necessary steps to be well practiced and prepared to play at the WTC event. Team Members are expected to exhibit high levels of sportsmanship. A player must be a resident of the USA in order to apply to be a member the of USA WTC Team.
Resumes must comply with the following guidelines:
Resumes may include placing in events related to Warmachine Weekend, the Iron Gauntlet, and WTC
Resumes may only list events from 2013 and 2014
Resumes may list the factions and casters with which you have had the most success
Resumes should include what faction or factions you are inclined to play at the WTC
Resumes may include a small section at the end stating why you believe you be a good addition to Team USA
The tournaments that a player may list on their resume are limited to help voters judge the value of the placing in a tournament on the resume. For example, if a player listed the Alaska Cup on their resume, most USA WTC voters would not know enough information about that event to judge its importance.
Resumes are limited to achievements from the previous two years to give a fair chance for newer players to earn a spot on the team and to incentivize veteran players to continue to improve their resumes.
We have included a sample resume to illustrate the proper format. Ryan included extra detail on events and casters played to highlight the diversity of the casters he has had success with.
