I am not actually very smart can someone explain this list to me?

I am guessing Mangler Squig are core?

Do they have poisoned attacks? If so I could see a one sided list doing well with a lot of poisoned attacks and armor penetration.

End Times: Archaon basically says "screw army composition," so you can disregard any point limit regarding unit types (so no more 25% minimum core and no 50% special, 25% rare limit), you can include as many duplicates as you want, and basically any model can be your general.

Well, assuming the manglers only hit the enemy's units... that's a minimum of 74d6 STR 6 , Armor piercing hits lol

And as a fellow skaven player.. I love it

But yes Archon allows some cool lists. This list is good but has some bad matchups.

As an undead player, I laugh at this idea, it's terrible.
For starters, I'll show up with 10 units of 2 fellbats and 10 units of 1 spirit host.
It's only 770 points, and effectively deals with most other spam lists. Money wise, it's dirt cheap too, (thank you Michael's after Halloween sale).

Then sprinkle in stupid stuff to taste, such as blender lord, Black Knight Buss and 5 terrorgheists. Or, go really MSU, and add 18 banshees.

Archon is the rule set I won't even be testing.

As a farewell to 8th, under ET rules, I got asked to take part in a 2400 point game with a friend who actually enjoys End Times.(He's wrong, but that's a conversation for another time.)

I stated I was running, Morathi, Dreadlord on Peg, BSB on Peg, 4 Bolt Throwers, and Warlocks. He didn't want to play any more.

Isn't that just a standard DE list? The spammed dark riders you have to fill out your core with are pretty good too

EDIT

If you're playing OMF END TIMES (i.e. all four books), how about 10x 5 warlocks + 10x bolters + BSB on peg + whatever? Shooting for days, loads of loremaster Dark & Death, everything infuriating about brolocks x10, etc.

Archaon rules. No core. At all. Pegs. Bolt Throwers and Warlocks. I should mention that he's playing under ET magic rules. Under those rules, I'm more than capable of tabling people with Morathi alone. I don't want shooting, as I'd need a cauldron to make it do anything useful in the slightest.

Pfffty. Warlocks are more important. I can ruin games that way. When someone loses every character in their VC army on T1 before they move, that's a fun game.

Excuse my ignorance but what exactly do the Warlocks add above Morathi? How do they help you kill characters turn 1?

Mobile death and dark platforms that can vanguard and redirect. I often use them to stack blights for Morathi. And i was saying that warlocks are more important that darkshards.

Morathi already brings mobile death and Dark magic with vastly superior casting bonuses. So Warlocks bring vanguard and redirects, which you could get cheaper and better from Dark Riders. So again I don't see why Warlocks bring over Morathi? I never use Warlocks in Morathi lists if using ET Magic.

Stacking Soulblight. Remember if multiple wizards cast the same spell on a target the effects are cumulative.

With a couple castings you can easily have a unit at -2 Str and T. And it only casts on a 9+.

Because each wizard can only cast each spell once per phase.

? Have you read Khaine. Each wizard can caste the same spell as often as they want until it is not successfully cast. Once it has not been successfully cast then no wizards can cast it. In ET I just see no value in Warlocks in a list that includes Morathi.

I'm just speaking in a general sense.

Anyway, as for why you want another unit, maybe its because Morathi can't be everywhere at once.

In normal magic I completely see the value in Warlocks and always ran them in my Morathi lists. In ET magic they serve no function. Yes Morathi can't be everywhere but she's going to win you the game in ET Magic so you want as much dice going through her as possible. Support wizards with other Lords are useful (largely to carry a scroll) but Warlocks to me seem pointless. Unless I'm missing something?
