I'm entering my fist ever AoS tournament next weekend and was looking for some feedback on my list.

Heroes:
Vlad Von Carstein - General - 180
Isabell Von Carstein w/ Raise Dead - 150
Coven Throne - 385

10x Black Knights w/ full command - 320
30x Skeleton warriors w/ full command - 245
3x Vargheists w/ Vargoyle - 205

Total 1485

Models I have access to: 10x dire wolves, 20x zombies, 20x ghouls, corpse cart, necromancer

All feedback is appreciated. Thanks!

Well, I would drop the coven throne and remove raise dead from Isabella. Then use the necromancer as a counts-as Heinrich Kemmler with will of nagash. Fill in the rest with a corpse cart with lodestone upgrade to boost your casters, and a unit of wolves which can take advantage of the boosted saves.

This reduces the armies dependence on enemy bravery scores, and provides you with much better magic support. This is big because you are going to want mystic shield on your skeletons and because arcane bolt can compensate for the lack of shooting by picking off support characters. Other than that it looks like a solid list which won't loose you any friends with game-breaking gimmicks.

Road to Renown! It's like classic Path to Glory, but repaired, remastered, expanded! https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/778170.page

I chose an avatar I feel best represents the quality of my post history.

I try to view Warhammer as more of a toolbox with examples than fully complete games.

Some thoughts:

The Coven Throne is very powerful, but if you think you will face other high bravery armies (TK, Sera, VC, DoC etc.) then you might not get the most value out of it. But on the other hand, its unique spell is not that hard to cast, and can work very well in your favor anyway, since it has a roughly 50% chance to work even against Bravery 10 models once successfully cast!
The Throne can also take quite a beating, and has a really high damage output in melee, but remember that you also pay for the Blood Kiss ability, so make sure you get uses out of it as well.

Both Vlad and Isabella are good (and fluffy!) choices for the army, and brings. more arcane bolts needed to snipe out enemy characters. I would probably remove Raise Dead, as IMHO one of its uses is to reinforce large units of Zombies already present on the battlefield. You can get good use out of it raising some Zombies to claim objectives and keep enemy units from getting to their objectives. But since you don't have any Zombies in the starting list, the spell does lose one of its uses.

Your infantry units are good - nothing to add there really.

Perhaps you can remove Raise Dead and a few more models, and include a Necromancer to follow your skeleton horde, making them even more effective with Van Hels. Or fit the Dire Wolves in the list, to have a fast way to claim objectives and aid in combats where needed.
