The folk at BoW are looking for nominations for their 2015 awards, if you've loved something this released this year nominate them and get them more air time etc
The Awards Categories Best Miniatures Game of 2015
Tabletop Wargames or Skirmish Games where a final edition of the rules became available between 1st December 2014 & 30th November 2015 .
Open playtests will be disregarded. New editions are included as they replace rather than expanded on an existing game.
Best Board/Card Game of 2015
A Board or Card Game that released to public sale between 1st December 2014 & 30th November 2015 . New editions are included where they replace rather than expanded on an existing game.
Best Game Expansion of 2015
Expansions to games (Any Type of Game) which became available between 1st December 2014 & 30th November 2015 . Board Game Expansions, Codexes, Army Books, Campaign books etc.
Best Gaming Artwork of 2015
Artwork found in any game or expansion released in the award period, plus art books specific to a game which became available between 1st December 2014 & 30th November 2015.
Best Gaming Accessory of 2015
Any tabletop gaming product which doesn’t fall under another category that was released between 1st December 2014 & 30th November 2015.
Best Terrain Product of 2015
Any individual tabletop gaming terrain product that was released between 1st December 2014 & 30th November 2015.
Best Paint Job of 2015
Either a new release mini with a studio paint job, or an entry to a painting competition held within the award eligibility period between 1st December 2014 & 30th November 2015.

Subject: Beast of War 2015 gaming awards Nominations now open
We mentioned it in our thread, but if any of you who backed the ModCube Kickstarter and had great things to say about it would nominate the ModCube for the Gaming Accessory category, it would be really appreciated! Beasts of War has been one of the top ways people have found out about the ModCube, after only Facebook and, of course, Dakka Dakka

Ah I didn't realise that it was for rules released this year, that narrows it down somewhat.
Although I guess if they stuck with the 'game by category' (as they had last year) then it would just be a popularity contest for each of the games.
Will probably choose either 'L'Art de la Guerre' as one (it's not new, but has only been published in English this year) which is a bloody wonderful set of rules, or if that's not allowed either Gates of Antares or Frostgrave

Can anyone remember when the Perry foot-knights plastic kit was released and if it's viable for this year?
Hopefully this time, they realize the common sense of not putting RPGs and table top fantasy games in the same category? really two different game types should for common sense be put in two separate awards?. over all beasts of war are not the best site for overall news, and their team are not particularly honest or trustworthy so not a big care in what they are doing at all.

Maybe I'm missing something, but why no category for best mini? After best game, I would have thought that would have been the most important category!
Either that's what best model kit means (I assumed that was specifically for large, multi-part kits, like vehicles) or they're lumping it in with best paint job, which is pretty weird.
