I'd love to write one up!
Truth is I so rarely get a chance to play it that you might be waiting for one for a while. But when I can I will.

Lots more tiny planes to see since I last bumped this add.

Now added a whole lot of USAAF and a few others from around the world. Some Japanese, a few Italians and Soviets.

I've got a few more Russians and even some French on the way so keep an eye out on the above link for more coming soon.

Where did you get the building in this picture?
They would be great for 1/285th scale HASL

I just went through all 7 pages in your gallery. Those are FANTASTIC. I mean really. The insignias, stripes checkers. Jimney Christmas! I want to be your friend so I can play with your bejeweled items of wonder. Are you a pro? Are they for wings of Glory?
Sheesh. Amazeballs. 10/10. Whole gallery.

Sorry buddy, I carved that one from a block of balsa. Its based on the Vickers Factory at Brooklands.

Thanks Dok. High praise indeed and very kind. Unfortunately I'm not a pro. I work in an insurance office and paint my tiny planes on my breaks. It keeps me sane though they all think I'm like the warbird man of Alkatraz.

I'd be using them for Check Your 6! If I ever had a chance to play. At least that's how I got started. At this point though I'm just collecting for the sake of it. I'm glad to see other people are enjoying the collection too.

Thanks for looking Easy E.
I know, there's certainly more planes in my collection I'd never heard of before than ones I could've named a few years ago.
That said there are a few massive omissions, a B-24 Liberator for instance! And my Japanese contingent is pittiful.

Still, I'm keen as ever to expand my collection and there seems no end to the possibilities. I'll keep the planes and the history snippets coming as long as you're all interested.

Took a trip to Finland with my WW2 air obsession.

Link in the signature for the full gallery.

The history of Finland's war(s) was fascinating to look into. And a nice range of aircraft to paint up too.

Wow, these are gorgeous! And I can sympathize, I paint and collect far more than I play... Even though in the back of my mind, each wee model I do is for that great game I'm going to play real soon, just as soon as I get a little free time, because I have no free time, because I paint too much.

I play...

Sigh.

Who am I kidding? I only paint these days...

Cheers Easy E. Always a fan of the strange and wonderful, especially when it’s also something that really existed.

More wonderful (if not so strange) has just flown in.

Cheers Shrap.

I’ve done some Japanese in small groups over the years as parts of other projects. I always intended to come back to them and do a full focus including a lot more of their earlier and more obscure planes.

So far I’ve done some Zeros, some twin engine bombers and a good few seaplanes and flying boats. The full list is on the first post in the gallery page.
