Far too many see Adventuring as a 'Get rish quick' scheme, and while the rewards are often enough to set a person up for life, if even a modest one, the dangers are more than most could handle!
Your fight with Bandits was considered... perhaps shall I say ludicrously simple and easy. Other adventures involve killing Dragons, or recovering items from places so dangerous that all who've gone there have died.
Adventuring is a career, and not one to be taken lightly
