Since many of the Artel W miniatures are their own take on particular characters which appear in Warhammer fiction, what are the chances we could see an "Adventuring Band" based on the Ubersreik Five from the Vermintide Series?

My guess is because there are other people like me who just read that and said "who?". I had to look that up. Admittedly, that could be said for other things though that they did actually make (like my first order than was made specifically because they had a Commissar Cain and Jurgen combo) so it's not out of the realm of possibility. It does seem like they focus more on scifi than fantasy.
I just see so many people mention wanting said minis that I am honestly surprised no company has done it yet. Artel W does some amazing work and since they make bunch of models that are effectively the whole cast of various BL series with the serial numbers filed off, they seem like they'd be the perfect company to try.

I'd just like to see them continue to fill in all the niches in Necromunda that GW don't seem like they're going to bother with.
They did. They also released the 3d models for him along with their farseer and warboss for free. Fun fact...I just had to correct my over aggressive "autocorrect" to prevent me posting about free career and waffles in the previous sentence. Android, you so funny!

They did, then were C&Ded. I suspect that will happen every time they will release something from the games, GW might not want repeat CH fiasco but game companies who actually own the design of their characters are different matter and if they are based in USA, they might be forced to pursue unless they want to lose rights to that design.
AHHHHH, GW give me new rules for Mega Armour Warbosses now please!
Artel W knocks it out of the park again! I just recently got the Bicheta da Sturmorc model to be a Warboss with a Big Choppa, and now this? My poor Orky wallet is filled with holes at seeing all this crazy Ork content.
Dum Dum is practically a remake pose wise of the classic Nazdreg model, even the head is near perfect, just needs a big Bad Moon banner and he'd be perfect!

Which is why they need not make them identical to the existing character designs, just heavily inspired by those designs.
Not clicking that gak, but chances are those are the sketches and renders of their stab at doing First Claw from the Night Lords novels, again some amazing attention to detail shown by the designers, who really know the source material by heart.
Pleasantly surprised, put in an order with them at the end of September, and the stuff is already here.
I do not know what sorcery they use to make such flawless works, as it is difficult to find so much as a mold line on these. I find that with other companies I spend an hour+ removing mold lines and such on models, while with Artel is it spending 10 minutes actually trying to find the mold line and maybe 2 to remove anything if its visible at all.
And so it begins - till the end of December you have 15% of discount for any purchase at ArtelW.com, unless it will be above 300USD in total (in that case there will be 25% of discount ). Moreover, we will add free random miniature to your order for every 60USD spent (shipping excluded). And that is not all: first 150 orders from now on will come with special gift - cute alien cat with cookies
Also, you can check our new gift certificates and DHL Express shipping option. About the last one: the 11USD price is not final. and it`s really expencive at the end - but really fast also. Unfortunately, it could be unavailable for some goods - we will contact you to discuss options.
Let`s celebrate! Gods knows, we all need it
Going to get paid on Monday anyway, so might as well get some more minis for future projects. Also decided to give the new shipping option a go as a test.
And pic of the freebie cat, spoilered due to size:
our dearest friends and customers from Great Britain, due to cancelling of flights between our countries there will be delays with shippings, probably long ones. We`re trying to find the way to make it shorter, but for now all we can do is waiting for the situation to improve. And, please, stay safe and take care of yourself and your relatives. It`s hard times upon all of us... stay strong, be smart, be responcible!
I've had an order for the Iron Rider stuck on "processing" since late October, so I doubt I'll be partaking in the sale given the state of international shipping now. :(

Y’know, with that cowlick and messed up eye, he does a much better job of being “evil superman” than most of the comics and all of the films have managed.
Well, until now I didn't know I needed a 40k Captain Amelia.
Now I do.
Now I think about it, I'd also love to see a 40ked Sergeant Taura from the Dendarii Free Mercenary Fleet, and well, maybe I'd love to see some more of those xDD

For those who have ordered through Artel W before, how long does it generally need to take to go from "Processing" to "Shipped"?
I am trying to patient but it has been since the 19th of Dec 2020 that it flicked to Processing.

Weird. Maybe some georestrictions? Eh. Curious if other US dakkites see it...

Working for me too. I love that those bare Not-Eldar heads are available separately, but I really don't want to wait a month+ for Russian post to deliver them :(
I broke down and bought a few sets, those heads are just too good. Which is sad since they aren't anything special, just regular heads with simple ponytails/buns. They're like Space Wolf heads, GW WAY overdesigns them to the point it misses the mark, leaving it to resin producers to dial it back. But EVERYONE produces Space Viking heads, very few companies do Elf heads, let alone Space Elf heads.
Spoiler:
Now if Artel would just release the Not-Aspect warrior helmets separately form the bodies, I'd buy those for conversions. I don't personally like his take on Space Elf armor, but I love those helmets for conversions
A cool chaos apothecary. Is that symbol on his chest from Huron's bunch of a Night Lord thing?
I like the mix here of chaos design flourishes to the armor while still keeping it recognizable and functional. For my personal tastes, the majority of official GW chaos marines in 40k have veered too far into the possesed/mutated lane over the past few editions.

Are you referring to fatty jowls? He is an apothecary. I expect he injects more collagen and botox than all the "Real Housewives of..." reality tv shows combined.
I think it’s the way the ribbing of the neck seal goes all the way up to his ears and looks like it should be partially embedded in his jaw, yet his mandible is somehow over the top of it.

Why does his face look so wrong
Probably because the undersuit is going up his neck and into/behind his jaw in an impossible way.

I could be wrong, but my gut is telling me that Raziel and the Assassin could be based on characters from the Erasmus Crowl books, The Carrion Throne and The Hollow Mountain. Raziel could be the stormtrooper captain Revus and the assassin could be the ... erm ... assassin, who’s name escapes me right now. Is it Khazad? Something like that maybe. It’s been a while since I read them.

If its following the previews of Not!First Claw, then he's a Red Corsair that leaves the Corsairs and joins the Night Lords. Variel the Flayer is his name, and I'm sure you can guess his game.

A stage on the belly of a Stompa made out of an entire Battlewagon.
I would be all over that model if it had alternate chest emblem for Iron Warriors and a weapon on the shoulder instead of the medical arm. I know I could do the conversion myself....i'm just extra lazy right now.

Yeah, a 3d printed techmarine over the shoulder backpack weapon mount would fit there as well.
Hate to tell you this, but we have to. Some mistakes were made while processing your precious orders placed in May 2021 (and maybe also a part of April), and some ordered Starborn Ancients’ and Crimson Legion squads may have been shipped without squad leaders.
We are VERY SORRY for that. If a squad leader is missing in the package you have received from us recently (or will receive soon), please forgive us and write to info@artelw.com! We’ll send your squad leaders to you free of charge and we’ll never make that mistake again.
Today we invite you to celebrate Solstice, and we are going to make this longest day of the year even longer by starting a Big Summer Sale - June 21 to July 04 we sell everything at ArtelW.com with a 10% discount (applies automatically at checkout)!
Are we going to cancel weekly sales because of this big one? NO, we are NOT! You will get to save extra 5% on certain groups of minis, so stay tuned to find out what the new weekly sale will be about)
And of course, all $300 and above orders come with a 25% discount, like they always do, whether summer or winter!
Very much tempted to stock up on more Artel goodness, but already have an outstanding order from last month, but damn it..
Artel W have announced that their Dread squad range is being discontinued in a few days so they're currently running a final 20% off sale for just those models.
https://artelw.com/search?keyword=dread
Apparently they can't discuss why they're being discontinued but with GW's recent actions its hard to not think they're the most likely culprit. Although i can't help but think that if it was GW they would've tried to remove a hell of a lot more than just a few knock-off Nightlord models. (Some of their Eldar stuff for example.)
Hi, awesome ones!
As sad as it sounds, we have to cancel our regular weekly sale for this week. But what we offer instead may turn out even better: starting from today you can save 20% on any member of the Dread Squad (and Dread Lord too) at ArtelW.com!
Why is this happening? The reason is we are going to discontinue the whole Dread Squad range in a few days. So this sale is a good - and the last - opportunity to order any DS warrior or all of them together for a lower price!
What happens next? We can assure you, someday the whole squad will come back - renewed, redesigned and reinforced. Meanwhile, stay tuned for more news, stay awesome and use this chance to get the Dread Squad as it is at ArtelW.com!
P.S.: At the moment we cannot and we won't discuss what had led us to this decision. We appreciate your understanding.
It might be a preemptive decision to sell while they can.
If they received a C&D notice I don't think they'd even be allowed to put them on sale, right?
Shame, cool sculpts. I wonder if they could just sell bits from the more original parts.

Depends on the company; a C&D isn't I believe necessarily much more than a threat. They might have also been given a "stop selling by ##, or else."
Why would GW do that instead of demanding an immediate cessation? I don't see much evidence for anything sinister going on here. Moulds wear out, you know...

A number of other people/companies just happen to also be ceasing production of GW compatible stuff right now, and that's while GW is actively seeking copyright informants assistants.

They're new kits, look through the history here. I'm not saying sinister, I'm saying regular old copyright law, and as to why it isn't immediate, I'm not an expert on international copyright law, so I have no idea why and this is transparent speculation, but I think generally legal paperwork has dates attached, and this is probably what someone or other thought was legally appropriate, considering it's not binding until a court says it is, so they can't immediately enforce it even if they wanted to.

Yeah if GW were dropping the hammer, why just these totally-not-chaos duders? Why not… well, everything else Artel sells? I don’t see these as any closer to whatever arbitrary line of similarity you want to define than their not-Eldar and not-orks.
I’m just hoping it wasn’t something catastrophic like the moulds and the digital originals being lost in a house fire or something.

Or companies are protecting themselves from potential action.

C&Ds have no legal weight whatsover, so GW could have demanded an immediate cease of production just as easily as one under a time limit.

Do you have an explicit source on that?
We may see STL files of the soon to be pulled models in the future, or maybe not. They handed those out for a limited time when the previous round of GW and Blizzard inspired designs were pulled.
I decided to take the plunge and get the Dread Squad ripper apothecary from an ebay seller who had it in stock (at a markup of course) as i didn't want to trust pandemic era international shipping after some issues last year. Dayum! There is some serious detail on that fig and it's a great casting from my quick unboxing. I haven't done a detailed look at every piece but i didn't spot a single bubble or lost detail in my first look.
schoon wrote: I placed an order not to long ago, and got it quickly.
I think both production and shipping delays have mostly disappeared.
I'm still waiting on an order I made when they announced the Dread Squad was going OOP. Admittedly I ordered a pretty good amount of other stuff too, but I think there's still some delays going on.

That's good to hear. With all the reports of supply chain issues (admittedly for slow boat shipping which this wouldn't be) and recent USPS announced delays on top of whatever might be going on in Russia with their recent pandemic wave, I didn't want to risk it. For a couple bucks more, it ships next day and just arrives a few days later.

Sorry to hear that. From an order I did a while back that was delayed very long with many other customers, they mentioned they use different casters so there is sometimes one item that holds a bigger order. I don't know if that is the case for you or generally even now.
Including the question mark, but yeah, that's just facilitating tracking stuff. Facebook in particular appends a ton of tracking info, which is why when I link anything over there I also include the URL so it can be copy-pasted.
I`m sure you can see the difference between minis from Oathsworn and Magnetic Heroes.
When we will be doing Magnetic Heroiness, we will put the same effort and quality in them, as we did with Heroes, no compromises in quality, no mediocre minis, no "well, that`s ok". Only awesome miniatures for awesome people.
My guess is you’re using Backer Kit to manage the project, or at least someone else promoting the campaign on your behalf is.
‘Project domino’ is just an ad/tracking domain that Backer Kit looks to be using. With the sub-domain likely just being taken from the title of the project that yourself or someone else who is using Backer Kit has set up for the project.
magnetic-heroes.projectdomino71.com
Can also see that the URL mentions it’s a ‘referral’ URL, so it’s likely just a link that Backer Kit has generated to track activity that’s randomly popped up somewhere and been posted here.

Jeez, I was still looking at picking up a full squad of their Fire Dragons, but was waiting to finishing painting up all the stuff I had for my Eldar Crusade list first, and get them as a reward. Now I'm about done, and this situation arise. Sucks a lot for them and other such business.

Shipping from Russia is still possible, but for how long? With both airspace and ports closed, soon shipping mail by truck will be the only option and good luck with that continuing for long given the politicians in Baltic states/Poland.
I actually considered making order with Artel to give them some support but with both payment and shipping being really uncertain (not to mention the possibility of some idiot in customs or post 'accidentally' stepping on package) I'll wait till situation clears a bit

Artel is located near St Petersburg based on the return address on the packages I have received, so I'm hoping Russia Post can get mail out overland through Finland. I certainly hope no one vandalizes any packages.
Waiting for things to settle down is an option, but I think this is going to last a very long time.
Awesome Ones, we owe you some explanations. I know that you see no activity on proceeding your pledges recently, and that could be disturbing. So, that`s how thing going now:
- we have most miniatures and magnets for all purchased pledges in our possession right now;
- the plan is to start to pack `em and sending out after 15th of the March, 2022;
- yes, we are located in Russia, and with all current political turmoil some complications with logistics are possible, but as for now our mail system working and we always have DHL Express option (they not delivering TO Russia at the moment, but FROM works just fine) as a backup plan;
- our friends and colleagues from Signum Games, who helped as A LOT with this project managing are Ukranians, and some of them, unfortunately, are in combat zones right now. Every day we hope and pray for them. If you are able, please, send your support to the guys, it means a lot to them and to us. And they are also running campaign right now - yes, right fragging now! - so you can support `em by funding too.
I received an order from Artel yesterday. It was shipped on 8 April by Russian Post. It took 10 days in transit including customs on both ends. I was unable to track it using the Russian Post website, but I did get detailed tracking info using a website called parcelsapp.com. This order was placed after the war started, but before they were cut off by PayPal.
Just got a package from Artel after they had been cut off by Paypal and using the artist patronage site that they are currently using. Site worked fine (and haven't seen any weirdness on any of my accounts, nor have I been sanctioned with the oligarchs) and the package arrived very quickly (about 14 days--which has been quick for Russia to me) and everything was perfect except one very fragile bit which will glue back together for me to break it myself).
FWIW, it was two sets of their own Deffkopta version, which is just amazing and incredibly modular. I had to have two sets just to field at least most of the options in one kit!

I did it late one night, and the email was there the next morning, so...fairly quickly?
Awesome news, folks!
Today we’d love to thank you for staying with us in these tough and troubling times. It was your support that has been giving us strength all along. It took months and a lot of effort, and - yes, we managed to get back to somewhat normal!
We are happy to let you know that our webstore works as it should again. We can collect PayPal payments just like we used to, and everyone’s welcome to shop at ArtelW.com without puzzling payment tricks and delays.
However, the situation required certain changes, and we were forced to revise the product structure (a bit). From now on we have to cancel adjustable bundles and stick with the fixed price. Please note that variable number squads are now split into separate products. Sadly, we had no other choice. We hope that won’t cause too much inconvenience!
Unpleasant info from our Australian customer, Dave Dee.
Please, be aware!
Austalian Customers, Please be advised of the following;
Australian Customs, has as of the 25th of April, incurred an additional 35% Duty tax on all items imported from Russia. At present, this additional tax remains in effect until October 24th, 2022 for good in-transit and on the water. This applies to all couriers. Also note, extra scrutiny is being applied on Russian based imports, whereby parcels are opened for inspection. Any items for which duties are not paid are destroyed, they are NOT returned to their Russian point of origin.
These days we are constantly searching for solutions that would help us make purchase and delivery safer and easier for you, and here’s what we’ve come up with! We are launching a new feature at Artel’s online store which is basically PayPal payment + delivery from the US based warehouse. At this point the option is available for customers from the United States and Canada, but we are working on extending this to more countries and continents. Shipping time may be a bit longer than usual (due to the additional logistics leg) but most probably won’t exceed 3-4 weeks.
Also, I`m personally making some steps to make additional customs duty for our Australian customers not so overwhelming.
Hi, not sure if this is the place to ask.
I am in the UK. I want to buy the posthuman neowarrior miniature as a base for a conversion I'm gathering bits for.
Is it still possible to buy this from Artel W. If yes how do I do it. On the site it sais still in business then something about buying in America and paying with some other site. I'm must not be be fizziest pop in the fridge because I can't understand how to but. Please help me.
@Frozenfang - I don't think you can order from the UK at the moment. Artel W is based in Russia, so the various banking sanctions currently are making it almost impossible for them to get paid, as banks and Paypal etc aren't dealing with Russia. They now appear to have a workaround for the US and Canada but I think they're still trying to sort something for UK/EU.
Fair play. What a nightmare. I found some place in states selling that mini but it's like 35 quid with postage in total. I need the top half of it for a kharne the betrayer conversion though.
1st world problems right.
I think you can still place an order on the website from the UK. You place the order as normally. You'll skip the payment. After you get the confirmation email, you'll get another message with a link to the boosty.to patronage site where you make a donation in the amount of your purchase plus conversion fees as the donation price will be in rubles. The patronage site is registered to Tonga (.to), but the payment is processed through the Netherlands. I've done it once it. It's a little cumbersome, but it worked fine for me.

Ok thanks for the info guys. I went through the thing on the site and I am too paranoid to sign upto the site that was on the email. I don't feel comfortable handing my details over to random site like that.
I decided I would just pay the extra and buy it from their US guy and have it shipped to me from there.
I feel a bit ill now I am 35 quid in for this mini plus another 20 for the Kharn mini to butcher for bits to graft onto it, it is working out to be a very expensive kitbash.
That posthuman neowarrior dude by artel W tho! As soon as I saw it I just knew it was the one.

That's fair. I was skeptical at first too.

They do quality work in both design and the casting. Best resin miniatures I've ever handled.

Yeah their designs look cool and I don't think I have ever seen a bad review. Now I'm wondering though. That chemfist brute might be a cool base for a kharne the betrayer conversion. Why oh why.
Artel W currently has 20% off everything until the 28th for Black Friday.
They're still located in Russia though so I'd be aware of that if you don't want to financially support their country right now, but they do have a shipping hub setup in America although their postage prices to certain other parts of the world are ridiculously fething high. The price to ship a single model to Australia for example is a whopping $82 AUD.
Retinue would probably be Epiphani, Hessian, and I want to say the last one is Klute(there's an I as the belt buckle that makes me lean that way over Torres).
