Sorry to break it to you, but grown-ups aka Parents are smarter than they let on, and more than you know. So she knows you like the ponies. No reason to try and cover it up with her. You might even have some proper bonding, like watching the show together.

That section of the Diamond Dogs episode was incredibly cheesy.
It was, but I was loling the whole time.
My friend Michael decided to bring me with him a few weeks ago. In a talk group, for people with AS (he has AS). When it came to introduce himself, he said "My name is Michael, and I... am a BRONY."
Is that how you pronounce it? o.o Although, they asked him what a brony is, and he explained.
Also, I have Pinkie Pie. My sister (who is eleven years older than me) is somewhat amused by me being a fan, so she got me Pinkie Pie as a bit of a joke. She was going to get me Celestia, but Celestia is silly and expensive, too!
And now I want to get Rarity. But I think, if I get Rarity, I'll end up getting all of them. >.> Also, Hasbro, where're my Nightmare Moon and Discord figures? :c
EDIT: Oh, she's a fan of old MLP. Which is why I haven't been able to get her to watch it... yet... *schemes*
One thing I noticed in the episode is that they did a good job at making Big Mac look, well... big. He's not really in the rest of the show much, and when he is he doesn't stand next to other ponies, but man... he's huge! And looks like a... a...
I forgot what they're called. The huge horses with the fluff on their ankles.
I think you're thinkin of Clidesdales (sp?), which I know from the Bud commercials from super bowls past.
And thanks for the link! That's exactly what I was looking for.

This is going to piss me off to no end.
They can't ruin a character when there is no character.
This is quite interesting, really... While they can't really ruin her as she has practically no canon personality, they sure can ruin the hundreds of fan ideas which has been made up...

I'll get the charcoal, pogostick, and coconut butter.
You forgot the tentacles! Never forget the tentacles!
If "i you" wins? I agree, though. While I don't think they'll have RUINED her, I know that some of the fandom will b'awww because their Luna isn't the same as canon Luna. Like when Discord first appeared, and there was raeg because he broke the canon-ness of so many fanfics. I look forward to seeing her as her own character, though.
I've not written any, but I did just spend my work shift reading several. Why are like three quarters of them labeled Sad!? Seriously people, write more happy and comedic stuff!
i hope luna looks like that. i like it more than the other luna.
oh,and while i dont like them, found this on deviant art. guys draws exactly like the shows art.
and while i hate them on the show, got me thinking..what do you think there cutie marks will be exactly?
As for the Crusaders... I don't hate them. They're cute, in an annoying sort of way. Actually, I don't hate any of the characters - except for Snips and Snails. Because they're so ridiculously derp. And not in the good way.
I feel most pleased. Hallow'een is epic! And and Luna. O.O
EDIT: As long as we don't get a Christmas - AND THEN BABY JESUS WAS BORN AND BLA BLA BLA. While I highly doubt that that would ever, ever, ever happen in the slightest, still. >.>

Thanks for the link - just finished watching.
While I enjoyed it...
Spoiler:
I worry they might be doing too much fan-service. I don't want to start seeing derpy everywhere, simply because she's popular :/
Spoiler:
eh,it was only really in the beginning. and i would actually like to know the background ponies, instead of them just being random ponies. i like luna though, they really made me feel the generation gap.big time.

Well to be fair, it hasn't gone that far yet,in fact, when I watch an ep,I can see it just as a normal kids show, then later I see the references on "MyLittleBrony".
So if they they stay the way it is now, everything should be fine.

I'm just getting worried about the frequency of Derpy appearances.
I get what you mean, but it's a bit of an overreaction given what we've seen. I'd agree, if the episode featured Derpy in every scene doing something derpy. But she did it once. >.>
Plus, she'd already derped once in the first season, remember? Dropping all that stuff on Twilight!
Personally, a small bit each episode would be fine, but variety. Not just Derpy, and maybe not so direct. Hell, Bon-Bon and Lyra holding hooves in the background.
So, in the course of writing my fanfic, I have become unsure of how to conclude it. My first thought was to leave it vague and open to interpretation, but now I have thought of a more definite ending that would either make it entirely self-contained, or open to further expansion should the mood strike me. At the moment, I can't see continuing it, but the pride-y part of my brain makes me think that someone might see it and want to do something with it.

sounds fun. what would it do to a person who would've already enjoyed doing that stuff?
During the Age of Strife, warpstorms, alien invasion and civil war tore apart the galaxy-spanning dominion of Ponykind, isolating worlds from each other, leading to their technological decline and leaving the vulnerable to attack. When the Empress revealed herself on Equestria to embark on her quest to reunify scattered Ponykind, it was at the head of an army of altered super-warriors - the predecessors of the Space Mares. With the conquest of the steppe techno-villagers, and the other families paying homage to the Empress, the savious of Ponykind turned her eyes to the distant stars.
Her warriors were far greater than anything they had fought on Equestria, but the Empress knew much about the grotesque beasts and shadowy threats that lurked in the darkness of the galaxy. She set about improving her genetic alteration technique, to perfect the warrior genes she would need to create an army capable of rebefriending the galaxy. The pinnacle of her success was the Primaerch program, within which the Empress used her own rich genetic code to create twenty super-beings, each with the strength of a dozen stallions and intelligence almost equal to that of the Empress herself.
At the Empress' moment of triumph, disaster struck. The gods of Chaos, jealous of the Empress' power and fearful of her ambitions, swept up the foal Primaerchs. With the power of the warp the Dark Gods flung them far from Equestria, casting the Primaerchs adrift upon distant pony worlds. Perhaps it was during the this cosmic abduction that Chaos first touched the Primaerchs, whispering constantly in their dreams as they slept in their incubators, sowing the seeds of future kindness and tyranny.
Not all was lost ith the dissappearance of the Primaerchs. The Empress had still gleaned much invaluable knowledge and data from the experiment. Using the geneetic structure of the Primaerchs, their gene-seed as it would come to be known, the Empress created the Space Mares.
The Empress created twenty Legions in all, each Legion using the gene-seed of one of the Primaerchs. Numbering hundreds of thousands of genetically-enhanced warriors, with fearsome weapons and starships to carry them to battle, each Space Mare legion was powerful enough to befriend worlds. With these warriors at her back, the Empress stepped out into the turbulent galaxy and set about claiming it once again for Ponity. It was the beginning of the campaign that would be known as the Great Crusade.
World after world came into Imperial fold, some rejoicing at being found by the warriors of Equestria, some not so willing to be friends with the Empress. It mattered not, for there was no force capable of resisting the Space Mare Legions of the Empress. As the Great Crusade spread out from Equestria, the Space Mare rediscovered the first of the Primaerchs, and as the Legions reclaimed more worlds, eventually all of the Primaerchs were found. Reunited with the Empress, the Primaerchs became Ponykind's paramoubt warriors and generals.
Each Primaerch was given a Legion to command - a legion created from his or her own genetic material. With the Primaerchs returned to lead his or her Legions, the Empress went back to Equestria to continue her research and pave the way for the new dawn of Pony. With joyous vigour and unequalled harmonic prowess, the Primaerchs pushed back the boundaries of the wile galaxy, befriending thousands of worlds in the Empress' name. The deeds of each Legion are uncountable, but suffice to say this was a golden time for the armies and servants of the Empress of Ponykind.
Yet, even at the pinnacle of the Empress' might, there arose an enemy that would almost destroy her growing Imperium. Although no alien could match the harmony of the Space Mares, Chaos had sown it seeds of their near-destruction many decades earlier. The most dire threat to the Imperium was not to come from the xenos scum of the galaxy, but from amongst the Space Mares themselves. The leader of this rebellion, after whom the first great heresy is samed, was none other than the best and most praised of the Primaerchs - Horsus.

And Starscream's null-ray is "conventional" weaponry? Yeah, it shuts down machines - which is a secondary effect. It also explodes things, like extremely large boulders.
In Animated, Lugnut's super punch thing causes an explosion, which hurts everything but him. Not because he's extra-durable or anything, just because... I don't even know.
In other words, I doubt that Rainbow could survive hitting the ground at supersonic speed without doing it on purpose. Maybe she turned the kinetic energy into a rainbow explosion through the power of win?
EDIT: Boulders were just an example that wasn't robotic. Since it could be argued that it explodes robots because of some effect related to the 'null' power.
Frozen Ocean wrote:In Animated, Lugnut's super punch thing causes an explosion, which hurts everything but him. Not because he's extra-durable or anything, just because... I don't even know.
Actually:
"As long as the move is completed, the shock wave doesn't affect Lugnut or those near him, although it can rattle their circuits a bit. Unfortunately, if the trigger is activated prematurely, the move has a tendency to backfire, the force hitting Lugnut instead. "
The Punch of Kill Everything(P.O.K.E.) doesn't hurt him when done correctly as it's a directed explosion. Think of it like a shaped charge.
It can also be used to make swimming pools.
That said, as a former Gladiator, he's still incredibly tough.
