Had to replace the FEP sheet on my 3d printer, good times all round as it was a right mess.

To reward myself for powering through that misery I made a start on my MGSD Aerial.

Assembly (just need do more work on bases scatter rubbish) of 5 Marvel Crisis Protocol models.

Painting solos (6) for warmachine

Base coated a large batch of Space Marines today,
built the new Nightbringer,
built a Kroot Lone Spear (very nice model btw)
painted 1 SM Captain - 1st model of 2026.

Getting the leather done on these Blood Axe boyz. Lots of straps and pouches on these models.

Edit to add: Sat up a bit later with a cider and did the grenades, teeth and gun metal too. And went around correcting mistakes.

Painting wraiths for Warmachine

Last details and strong tone wash for these 20 Orks. Have to decide if I want to bother doing the eyes on them or just do the base rims and call it a day tomorrow. I normally always do eyes on my boyz but these Mantic ones have much smaller faces and much less prominent eyeballs so I'm not as sure.

Tonight saw the assembly of 2 Imperial Bunkers & 2 sets of Aegis Defense Lines with quad guns.

I went all the way and got the bases done on my first 20 Mantic Orks so now it's on to doing the next 20!

Had a lot of fun painting them even though the models are quite flawed (lots of lost detail on the sides of the models). Just haven't painted an Ork in something like 16 years even though they are by far my biggest faction and it was really fun to get back to it. Turns out I really don't get tired of painting greenskins.

Today I sorted through my massive box of Orks to get my old lead 2e Kommandos, my 5e Kommandos with Snikrot, my metal 3e Dreadnaught and my looted vindicator.

I'll strip the Kommandos because they've been painted over twice, but just repair and touch up the others. Should make a decent 1500 point list for Mantic Firefight when combined with a couple of Stormboyz and some mule transports.

And before bed I got the cyan and black onto my 20 Brawlers. It's weird that they all have wolverine claws as their melee weapon rather than an axe or something, but I suppose it will make them stand out!

Finally got my Konflkt 47 Brits onto the table for some action.

I got the boots and pouches done in a little quiet patch this morning when my wife brought our toddler out. The baby slept the entire time without a peep, which was awesome.

There's so much leather on these guys and it's definitely the worst hit by the soft detail areas that it takes two passes for me - one to do the big leather areas and another to do the straps and belts. Once it's done though I'll be really "over the hump" with these guys.

Edit to add: Sat up and did a bunch more with this batch, just gotta correct mistakes and do two more stages now. Should be finished tomorrow. Not bad - 40 minis in 8 days!

Starter working on my Ahriman. Progressing well but taking my time to get more blending on his robe and cape than my regular models. Also it's my last character model in the army, so just loving the progress there, army is getting closer and closer to being done!

I started painting, but my Battletech Mercenaries kickstarter finally arrived so I decided I wanted to play with that instead.

I've been putting off reading the rules for the longest time but now I don't really have an excuse.

Last steps on my Blood Axe boyz. Waiting for the grey speedpaint to dry and then a strong tone wash for all of them and black base rims.

I sorta have some grading to do tonight and I'm trying to motivate myself to do it in between coats.

Todays progress: Got 25 Germans 3/4 painted up for Bolt Action. Not a single one actually finished (yet).

Started a batch of 20 HE Spearmen. Mistakes learned from Swordmasters, will try to do as much as possible with airbrush. And not paint basing paste twice, ffs.

Did a lunchtime painting sesh. Need to do that far more often.

I found out my Tesla cannon is NOT up to the task that needs doing. :(

Painted some small parts of my batch of 20 enforcers. Pondering what to do next - I think with contrast it can be good to pick out the smaller areas to make them stand out more before you apply the main coats so you don't go over them. Bit different to traditional paint where you can paint over the larger layers.

Edit: Sat up later than planned doing the main colour blocks. And as predicted, there was a lot of overspill I'm gonna have to go over with opaque paints! Ah well, lesson learned.

Assembling a couple of British Rifle squads for Bolt action/K47.

Highlighting and fixing mistakes on my 20 enforcers. Got the wash on the bases too. Just need to do the base rims and fix some black areas and they're all done.

I'm going to magnetize around 150 miniatures for storage.

And now I'm going back through & adding packs & other bitz of gear to 3 squads of BA/K47 Brit riflemen from last night.
Pack, pouches, teeny tiny individual grenades, helmets, etc....

20 enforcers done, and the main colour blocks done on 5 Peacekeepers. Should have the peacekeepers done this evening.

Edit: Yup, enforcers finished now. Will do a bit on the jetbikes, which are the last things from the Firefight starter set. It was a lot of fun getting this done, and I was always comparing it to the 2e 40K starter in my head - "Space Marines" vs. Orks and similar model count.

I finally finished my Ahriman! Took me a while and super glad he's done now!

Only a 5-man squad of Scarab Occult to do and all my infantry will be done for my TS! But gonna take a break and do my Zetans for Fallout next!

And also need to figure out eventually why my picture on my new phone comes out so pinkish compare to my older one.

I spent the weekend working on finishing two of my projects. Thankfully I am almost done!

I had to basecoat a few things and the weather was not the best for it. I did it anyway and almost ruined it. Luckily I was able to recover without any lasting damage.

Mental note, before winter comes basecoat a ton of minis before the weather turns so you have projects to last until the spring.

Last night I got the first base colour down on 20 Forgefather Steel Warriors. I really like these little guys, I'm glad I went with them over other Space Dwarf options.

Plotting how to win vs/destroy a Knights list with some Tyranids this evening.

This should be interesting as the Nids I'm using [i]aren't mine. A friend asked me to run his army for a few games & see if I can get better results from it than he is.
So I've only got a very specific selection of units for this challenge....
I certain that I'll at least score more pts than he's been managing.

Back on the hobby horse after two days off sick from work. In which I became a bed burrito trying to sweat it out.

Got the drybrushing done on my LI infantry.

Contrast stage is next. Have also decided I’m going to sell of my Chaos Knights. Can’t be arsed.

All the basecoats done on my first 20 forgefathers now. Basecoating with speedpaints is really satisfying, the models feel almost done already.

Have also been looking through Xenos Rampant and having a think about how to represent various groups of models in that system.

Did some more bits on my Forge Fathers, mostly washes and a bit of detailing. I'm really pleased with how they're coming out - Reikland Flesh over Gryph Hound Orange came out pretty much bang on how I wanted the orange armour to look.

A lunch hour basing frenzy.

All I did is put a wash on 5 models last night before I went off to do other things so not much to report.

Hopefully I'll be able to finish up stuff tonight and I can move on to other projects.

I got a second session in because my daughter fell asleep - all the eyes, wash on the base and base rims are done! 20 steel warriors in 3 days.

More base coating on my heavy weapon armed steel warriors. The sprues let you build heat cannons, autocannons, missile launchers and flamers which is really nice. You can get a lot of mileage out of that one sprue.

For the first time in months, I did some miniature painting last night. Not much, though. Today, I decided to set up a couple of armies for Space Weirdos as I heard about the expansion that came out recently, which was a pain to buy from Wargame Vault as it refused to use my direct debit card for some reason, but I managed to get around it.

It's the 1st week back for the Wednesday kid's miniature game club I run, so we might playing it then!

Repairing a huge lot of 2nd+ hand tau drones.

Its a royal PITA having to drill out nearly 40 shattered flight stand nubs.
I really wish people would take care of thier minis....

But the end of the repairs are in sight!
All I need are 5.5 new flight stands, 3 (at minimum) antenna, & 1 techno looking bit to make a scratch built shield drone or such.

Alright I buckled down over the weekend and managed to get some progress done on two of my projects! One I even managed to complete which is nuts given how it's been sitting in a box in my pile of shame for 10+ years.

Finishing my Mordheim warband inspired me to continue painting the unit that I stole models from to make my warband. I only had 3 more men to complete to finish the unit, so here they are!



And with these guys done my Mercenary Swordmen detachment is complete!



Overall I'm just happy this is off my pile of shame. Now I can focus on other stuff I have prepped on my painting desk I've been putting off for far too long.

Also I managed to get even more done for my Dark Elves.



So with these guys done I only have 5 more done to finish the unit. Right now the command group is base coated an on my painting table. Hopefully I'll have it all done this week!

Last night I finished my heavy weapon dudes, and now I've started my squad of ten jump pack Forge Fathers. Jump packs are actually usually for their exo-suit types but I thought they looked quite silly due to how chunky the suits are, adding the jump packs really makes them look silly to my eye, so I stuck them on some normal steel warriors to make a sort of "assault squad" of space dwarves. If everyone is too tall, jump up and hit them in the face I say.

As is? This is a gak model.

The lower 1/2 & bottom of the mechanism is made of crappy bendy Bones plastic (gray).
The 3 rings? Are a crappy smooth hard plastic. I want to say maybe 3d printed.
Details are soft - smooth. Poor even by Bones standards. Early Mantic stuff has this beat.

My copy is also seriously warped with a right tilt. No amount of heating has helped it. :(
The base was also warped - though this was fixed by mounting it to a large generic base.
To fix the lean? I'm going to have to tear it apart & insert a brass rod from ring housing all the way down through to the base.
Way more work than should be needed for a Reaper mini.

Because it's the first Kid's miniature game club tomorrow I thought it'd be cool to play a game of Space Weirdos, so I did a playtest today. A team based on Attelus and his people from Secret War vs a Custodes team, both I made. It was rather one sided with a distinct victory to Attelus and company, mostly because the layout of the terrain didn't suit Space Weirdos much. Not enough LoS blocking.

Got a little bit of mistake correction and detailing done on my jump-dwarves. Looks like I'll be able to get the squad totally done tonight - 10 in 2 days is not bad.

After that come 18 exo-suit dwarves. I like the models but I only came to own 18 of them by mistake, so it's gonna be a bit of a mission getting them all done!

Working on building a movement tray for another unit I'm almost done with.

Also tried to repair some fraying brushes and ended up making them worse. So I chucked them which I really should do more often. I have a ton of spare brushes I buy everytime I'm at an art store that just sit there unused as I struggle with brushes that haven't has a fine tip in months.

I've been working at building the Emperor's Children Box and combat patrol I bought at launch.
Still deciding if I can get value for the codex, or if I should just use the damn code for the app myself. Won't be playing them before the next edition change either way.

I built 6 Noise Marines, 6 Flawless Blades, and Lucius Sunday.
Then 5 Tormentors & 5 Infractors over the last 2 evenings.
Pieces clipped off and arranged for the next 5 Tormentors, waiting to be cleaned up & assembled at my next opportunity.

Got 4 more SM Captains partially painted (base armor color).
I should get them all finished by the end of the week.

I got that one too from the Kickstarter way back, and it was indeed a strange piece. Soft details and bendy bottom (also leaning on one side), weird hard rings on top. I built mine but haven't pained it yet either.

Other that that I've been sick for a few days so I took a hiatus from painting, but slowly started to resume painting. Painted my Fallout Zetan Drone before getting sick (was a quick job of a couple hours in one evening). Now working on the other Zetan guys.

Did my hacking, kids went to sleep late so only had time to get a coat of wash on my batch but at least that's a step with a long drying time done overnight. I should get an hour or so in the morning to keep moving on it.

Keen to get them done by the 28th, if I do I'll have managed 134 models this Feb, which I think is a personal best!

Reapairing/re-building an old 2" deep foam tray for Konflict 47.

It was originally a pluck foam & cut for...???
Almost all the glue had come loose.
I Picked it up free at the shop from a trade in they took awhile back.
They were going to pitch it, but free foam is still free foam. All I need to salvage it is half an hour & some glue.

Now its rebuilt & holding 90% of my Konflict stuff.

Exo suits have all their basecoats on and some highlighting. They're kinda kicking my arse because the sculpts although nice designs are badly implemented - too much sculpted on detail that has massive compromises due to how the minis were cast. The biggest problems are the grenades and stuff on the belts, which should have just been separate pieces you could glue on or not, but instead are weirdly stretched and distorted.

But I should get them finished tonight, I just thought I'd make more progress this evening!

Details and Decals on my Imperial Guardified K47 Grizzly(now in Cauter scheme) and also basing up a squad of Vostroyans.

Also working on artillery gun crews; whole stack of Imperial Guardmen.

Got my Exo-suits done.

Definitely prefer the Steel Warrior models and kit. These are essentially monopose and like I said I like the design but the actual quality of the sculpts is poor with lots of detail sort of morphing into the general model. A shame. But I did get loads of them very cheap so it's alright. They also take contrast and washes very well, so as long as you don't look too closely they look good.

I'm a bit underwhelmed by the Crucible of Champions rules.

Don't get me wrong, whatever force I field in our next campaign, I'll certainly make use of them. I just think they could've been.... better. Especially concerning my Gretchin.

I'm also amused that GW doesn't adhere to their own modeling rules.

So then on P33? We're shown a picture of a Daemon Of The Soul Hunt. Based on the Centaurion Marshal. From Aos/Warcry. So if my Adeptus Astartes champ has to be based on an Adeptus Astartes model, what's their justification for using this as a base for their Soul Hunter??? And then showing it off to us, undercutting the rule they wrote?

Got my two Iron Ancestors mostly finished in some downtime today! Really happy with how they're coming together.

I'll probably sit up and finish them tonight, just washes, tidying up and bases to get them finished.

Forge Father tank and little self propelled gun next. I don't like painting tanks so I hope I can get this one done.

I am planning out my Lamenters army, have to buy some colours, as I apparently never used yellow paint in any projects over the years.

Today I have to paint a pair of TechMarines.
They've earned it.

After a nearby Impulsor was destroyed they went on a Khorne inspired melee rampage vs the opposing Chaos Knights.
Tek 1 - soloed a Huntsman.
Tek 2 - 1st he landed the killing blows on a Rampager. Then he ran over and earned an assist (melee) in taking down a Tyrant.
The only reason it's an assist & not the kill is because chargers fight first. He stripped the thing down to its last wound. Making it easy prey for the deicated melee squad already engaged.

I had some home renovations I had to get done on the weekend which cut into my hobby time. Then I was so tired I just ended up playing videgames mostly.

That being said I did manage to get some work done on my Dark Elves and build some movement trays. Going to base them tonight and maybe, I've I have time, finish up the last of my Spearmen.

Got a wash down on my tank in a quiet period today. That's the main colour finished, so hopefully tonight I can get the other areas done.

Got a Fiat 626, squad of Schreckwulfen, squad of Centurions, and a squad of Aquilas built for my K'47 Italian Axis force.

Got my Forge Father tank done. That's all the minis from the Mantic range that I wanted for my Demiurg army done, all that's left is to finish the Brokkyrs and Militia figures which I'll do in the same scheme in case I want to use my force as Forge Fathers for Firefight or Deadzone.

I'm going to give them greyish skin and rust coloured beards though, because I really dislike the "short human but we're aliens actually" Forge Fathers. It made more sense when they were abhumans.

Sitting pretty on a pile of Quar sprues and writing rosters!

Got the first couple of colours on my Brokkrs.

Usually the process of painting minis makes me like them more, but it's not working with these guys. Ah well. At least they were free.

Painting a TechMarine.

Alright after putting it off long enough I finally managed to finish another unit for my Dark Elves!

All I had left was my front rank command models. I put it off somewhat because I was having trouble getting the banner to fit without obscuring everything. I almost thought I'd have to cut it off and use a brass rod. In the end though I made it work, behold!



With these last 5 done I now have my whole unit of Dark Elf Spearmen complete.



So now I have two of my core units done. Now while I still have a bunch of other Dark Elf warriors to paint, since I'm building to create a specific list I'm going to hold off on them for now and focus on finishing my core. That means next up is a unit of Dark Riders.

It also means I have to do something I hate....painting horses.

That's a really striking scheme!

I did a few more coats on these Brokkrs.

Still don't like them and I had a headache last night which made me like them even less. But they're nearly done at least!

I suspect I will like the militia that come next even less!

Weirdly they ARE growing on me - they're very cartoony, but at least it seems like that's what they were aiming for!

Basking in that warm feeling one gets whenever they table/nearly table an Eldari force.

My Flesh Tearers achieved a decisive victory over the space elves in this evenings league match.

I also had the pleasure of dispelling my opponents odd belief that Drop Pods arent very useful.
I'm not sure why he had this opinion, but he doesn't now....

Practically finished painting my not-Cyber Psycho squad. Made them real black ops looking. It was a good practice for painting black without dry brushing as well as progressing more on a couple of others.

Almost finished my newest version of the main character of my seven samurai style sci-fi novel, Azakir Halgriv, in his stealth suit, which was a part of the pack with the not-cyber psycho squad and the not-Trauma Team set. I might redo the line on the sidewalk of his base. He's mostly finished, just have to finish his visor.

We went to a nearby town about an hour away for grocery shopping today, but got back home with plenty of time to work on my new Azakir mini in his Stealth Suit, and I did, calling him finished! Kinda, I think there's more to be done on the blade of his sword, now I think about it!

Rounding out my darling anteaters with a bit of stowage. Some parts are from the original plastic IG weapons team, we spared no expense.

Had the kid's game day today. We played Grimdark Future. The mission was Sabotage which wound up a tie as we ran out of time. At home, I did a bit more painting and now lying in bed watching some Play on Tabletop.

But itching to pull out and leave them with an empty building to show off to the mayor and the press, because my club and I will be the only people not getting paid to be there, while providing literally the only content, and we were told to remove our branding from the tables because we are making the people with cushy jobs that do nothing all day look bad.

Just hide all your banners until the visiting press arrive then break them out .

I've been laid low with an absolutely shocking headcold since the weekend (well, I'd like to have been laying low but actually I still had to do all my usual stuff) so I haven't got much done after my very productive streak since January.

Today I got a Luke Skywalker I'm painting for a friend's birthday present finished and some wash down on some Veer-myn.

Base coating & then maybe actually painting a SM Drop Pod.

Called in sick today to finish my conquest army

Ended up assembling these ancient skellies during a super dull D&D game.

Several are missing skulls - so they're set to receive bits of black fuzz inside thier helmets.

I got a box of D&D miniatures to open after dinner! Food was nice as well. I’m trying to build a collection of miniatures so I can have a bunch of monsters to put on the table for any encounter. But ironically I haven’t got a single duplicate of any commons this year yet.
So hopefully I get some in this set lol. But I may go on eBay and buy a bunch of commons like wolves and such. Since it’s always cool to have a pack of wolves for low level encounters.

Didn't get much done this week. Started on a few Skaven models and built a movement tray for a unit of Mercenary Ironguts I'm using for my Empire army.

Got some more colours on my 20 veermyn. I like these models, fun sculpts.

Got some more done on my sci fi rats. I need some Palid Wych Flesh before I go on, but they're coming together nicely.

Indeed! I'm subbed to the Tribes of Locust Labs and out of the blue she presented an up-scaled version of her "Full Metal" mech to all tribe members.

Still printing out the last parts of the arms, so in the meantime I did an up-scaled print of a variant of the top-mounted gun with my own printer, who doesn't love a RAC?

Finally got around to working on some Stargrave Automotons for my long-awaited next Five Parsecs from Home Encounter. Pulled out some new Milliput for the rocks on their bases, and it was so nice to work with compared to my old stuff that'd gotten hard due to disuse. The Milliput also seemed to set within a couple of hours, but I'm leaving it overnight, just in case.

I also made more progress on a Jill Valentine Statuette, too.

So I put a dent in my pile of Skaven I have on my work bench.



I managed to grab these guys relatively cheap. I initially only wanted one for a Skaven Mordheim warband but I kept running into Ebay listing where they were going for only 6 bucks. Seeing as how so many people don't seem to like these guys and try to get all the other versions of them I got lucky and was able to build a unit. Now fully based and magnetised.

In addition I got another 5 Stormvermin done



So far my Stormvermin through the ages unit is almost done. I still need about 5 more of them as I want a unit of 25 but I can wait until I find a decent lot online. No need to rush as I'm just happy to get them off my todo list.

Tonight was weapons & hair.

Primed and zenithal highlighted my Stargrave Automatons. I was planning to paint them, but caught up working on my Jill Valentine...figurine? She's too small for a statuette but I'm pretty sure she's bigger than a miniature...hmmm.

Anyway, ran out of time, so didn't make any more progress on the cyborgs. With my Jill done I'll have the holy trinity of female characters with the surname "Valentine" in miniature form, Ivy Valentine, Jill Valentine, and Faye Valentine. Although, I have to repaint my Faye Valentine figurine as I painted her a few years back and it didn't turn out terribly well, in all honesty.

Basecoated 40 assorted British infantry, 6 MK II Automateds, 1 17pdr, & a Ram Kangaroo for Konflict 47 today.

Also printed out the British 47 list + general BA British units my force uses.
Now I won't spend the game squinting at my phone.

Sadly the quest for just the right kaki/tan continues....

Finished my first 20 veermyn. Quite happy with the colour scheme, looking forward to doing the next 20!

Did my first Quar, a simple Coftyran rhyfle section. First time in a while not painting with Contrast - in fact I went out and bought a paint shaker to revitalize paints that have been separating untouched for a decade or more.

Today it was the kid's game day and we played my rules The Angaran Chronicles: The Skirmish Game. It was the main characters Anargrin and Raleas from my novels with two-five man squads of elite commandoes vs a hordes of extremist Jaroaite and Jaroaian cultists led by a Priest of Jaroai. Was a lot of fun, we did a "Kill more Points" game, we ran out of time, but victory narrowly went to Anargrin, Raleas and the Commandoes, it was really down to the wire. It was a ton of fun.

After getting home, I forced myself to put aside my precious Jill Valentine figurine and work on the automatons, made a lot of progress they're close to being done!

Practically finished my new Cyborgs. I'm quite happy with how they're turning out.

I have nearly finished my melee rats as well. Getting a bit of second wind - getting stuff finished is always a big motivator!

Watching NetFlix & building a mixed lot of WH skeletons.
Not enough to do much with WH wise, but an impressive hoard as far as RPGs go.

Finished basing my Automatons today and so, once the bases dry, they're ready for my Five Parsecs game, yay! Hopefully might play that tomorrow evening.

I also posed one accidentally like he was air guitaring on his Milliput rock, lol.





Also posting some photos of my Unit 9 minis. I kinda based them to make a story of them, which I'm pretty happy about. Not too happy with the white armour of the not-Trauma Team, in all honesty. Might make them into an actual diorama someday.

Assembled a couple 75mm minis I got from Temu. A viking that is supposed to be Ragnar Lothbrok, and the tiefling from Baldur's Gate 3

Built most of a Krios tank for 30k. Can't decide if I want to build all the guns, magnet them, or just pick one

Started assembling the terrain for the Shatterpoint core set. I will hopefully continue that this evening

With my Stargrave Automatons finished, I finally got around to playing my 12th Five Parsecs encounter since the last one which was over two months ago. Was also the first game using Azakir's cool new Unit 9 ninja mini to represent him in his combat armour. He cut a bloody swathe through the cyborg enemy! Just like he does in my novel! Easily the game's MVP, badass!

Building my way through some misc Tomb Kings stuff I've had around for ages.

Built 3 chariots this evening.
Tomorrow will be a box of Necropolis Knights.
And there's a zip lock baggy of metal that looks like it'll make a catapult.

Looks like at some point in the distant past (pre-Old World) I had the intention of doing a Tomb Kings force.
But what I have is definitely nowhere near being a playable force, so I must've shelved the project into storage.

I was hoping to play my next Five Parsecs encounter, but we went out for dinner so ran out of the night. I don't like starting late as it takes ages to write down the BatRep. So, instead I continued painting up my Jill Valentine figurine.

Gonna get back on my LI Infantry. Haven’t touched it in a month, mood hasn’t been right.

Also, fair warning. There’s an idea percolating in my head for a terrain building Hobby Challenge.

Finished the last 3 dudes (first row) of my Coftyr patrol. There's one basic rhyfler spare, the rest make a legal 300 pt list.

Printed an Archer in 28mm scale, I am quite happy with the final result, as this was to me something new to try out with a resin printer, messing about with the hollow and hole tools in a serious way for the first time. Still need to sand and whatnot in some places, but as is, got my favourite 'mech in a stupidly large scale now.

The varnish is dry so I posted images of my Tactical Support Squad online.

Today I am starting cleanup on a Land Raider Explorator. This will be painful, especially tank tracks suck and I expect an 8-10 hour job, but I've done a Spartan before so I am ready for the pain.

Then once the Land Raider is built and primed, I am not painting it right away. The basecoat strategy I use means it's better to do my tanks in groups of 3 to give each facing time to dry (since I rely on gravity helping me for even coats). But rather than build more tanks back to back, I'll paint some old Fire Warriors in between that I stripped to try a new scheme.

Turns out I had a 2nd box of TK Chariots buried in the storage crate.

This 2nd one though? Still has the shrink wrap & price sticker on it.
The price sticker says $30 - my God, how long ago did I buy this?? Checking GWs site to see what these same chariots cost here in 2026: $90!

So after an evening of building undead, I have....

6 TK chariots,
3 Necropolis Knights,
1 complete Screaming Skull catapult,
1 loose hero looking TK guy (no base),
1 pre-TK Carrion vulture (no wings of base :( ) + little wraith rider,
13 TK skellies with spears/musician/standard,
7 VC era skellies with spear,
+ some super vintage WHFB 3e era Skeleton Army box skellies: 22 with a mix of weapons, 1 Skelton cav with lance, & a bone chariot (no horses or crew).
I'm betting this still isn't enough to really do anything with WH wise. But it'll make a damned fine hoard for the D&D game!

Or I could do my last primed Crimson Fists and Chaos Marines and mutants.

Or I could do Battletech.

After not touching the Orks for a year or so, assembling Breaka Boyz. Mostly smash hammers, I have plenty of tankbustas already. Should warm up enough next week to prime them outside.

Now, after a slight detour building undead minis, back to painting up the Bushido goblins.
Just doing a few details on each figure per day. They're slowly progressing.

Cheating here, but I finished a bit late so couldn't be bothered uploading the photos. We got rained in yesterday so I played through the 13th encounter of My Five Parsecs from Home campaign. It was a Stealth Mission for a Political Faction on the world they crew are currently on, Gough. I've been doing work for Factions mostly to use the favours they provide to pay off the loan for the Orray. The game was a success, the Crew of the Orray were consummate professionals, slaying six of the eight without being detected, completing the objective and the two side objectives, like the badasses they are. I've done a lot of Stealth missions due to taking on a lot of Faction jobs because you're far more likely to get Stealth Missions for faction jobs than any others. It was a lot of fun, though and it allowed me to finally pay off the ship loan the next Campaign Turn.





















Yesterday, was also the kid's miniature game day and there we played another game of The Angaran Chronicles: The Skirmish Game. Was a whole heaping helping of fun. Again it was the main characters of The Angaran Chronicles, Anargrin and Raleas fighting along side some elite commandoes, vs Jaroaian/Jaroaite extremist hordes led by a Battle-Priest of Jaroai. It was an objective game with seven objectives (1d6+2) We ran out of time, but despite Anargrin laying the beatdown on numerous extremists like the badass he is we decided the cultists would most likely win eventually. Also, the first time using the miniature of Anargrin in his dinner suit and Raleas in a fancy dress. Luckily, Anargrin didn't suffer from new model syndrome, lol. Also, also, got to playtest my horde vs horde rules I'd thought up last week and it worked quite well! I bought two boxes of Assassinorum Execution Force years back, one at my local GW in Wellington at premium price. The other at a board game convention for like...40 bucks? What a steal. I'm so glad I bought them for the cultists, especially, as I've used them in so many games to proxy so many things, They're pretty much perfect for my Angaran Chronicles playtesting.
