Need some opinions/comments. The lighting in my kitchen sucks so I had to use a flash. I will post the entire unit once I get them all painted. For now here is a plasma gunner.

Wow I'm flattered!

It was really pretty simple.

1. Black undercoat
2. Gretchin Green foundation paint on the armor plates and large "empty" areas including pieces of the backpack. In the detailed areas like the face and the "tainted, diseased" areas I did a heavy drybrush of Gretchin Green so that the black undercoat would peak through.
3. Mithril Silver on the shoulder plate linings, plates on the backpack, and boot linings. (I actually am using P3 Pig Iron on the other models in this squad)
4. Rotting Flesh on any horns and/or skulls
5. Red Gore on the plasma gun
6. Wash the whole darn thing with lots of Devlan Mud (this gives the metal rust and shades the Gretchin Green areas making everything dirty)
7. Highlighted raised green areas back up with Gretchin Green using some drybrushing and regular brushing in areas. I was real selective here. Any "lining" highlights were done with really thin lines. I didn't highlight all raised areas, again really selective. I didn't want him to have a squeaky clean paint job
8. Highlighted Red Gore with Blood Red
9.Highlighted the rusty Mithril Silver with Mithril Silver (mainly just retouched the bolt rivet thingys on the shoulder pads)

Thats about it. I will have some more soon of the other squad members. Thanks again guys.

thanks for the compliments guys!

I was unsure if I wanted the spikes or not so I left them off. I figure they are easier to add later than to take off.

For the holes I just used different size drill bits in a pin vice. Be sure not to go to deep or you will punch through though. You want shallow little "craters" for the wash to pool up in.

Ok an update FINALLY. Got a couple more PM squads done and working on the third Rhino. I also changed my basing scheme after the first squad, so I need to rebase them. Right now the count is 3 PM units (2 Melta, 1 Plasma), 3 Rhino's, and 2 Oblits. I will probably do a 4th Rhino and PM unit then get to work on my heavies and HQ (the fun stuff!).

Anyways, enjoy!

Whoa! I was considering to comment on your painting techniques (you drybrushed most of the troops squads, didn't you?) but then I saw your daemon prince.
Whoa!
Awesome idea to use that carrion's wings - if only they were a little larger, it would make 'em even nastier.
Great execution!
Where's his head been taken from?

And great job concerning the vindicator as well.

Hey guys, I'm thinking of painting up a Termicide unit or two but I have a dilemma. My army is Nurgle obviously so the troops, transports, tanks, and Oblits are green and the DP is painted in pre-heresy colors (white/rotting flesh).

Since the Termicide unit(s) will not have a mark what color should they be to complement the rest of the army?

Black or Grey would be good because they are neutral, but what other options do I have? In a perfect world I would love them to be painted like the DP in pre-heresy colors but that may give my opponent the wrong impression that they have a mark of Nurgle.

You've done some excelent work MascisMan,I've truely enjoyed watching your army grow and am looking forward to seeing any further additions.
As for you question concerning a "unmarked termicide sqaud"-personaly I would use a gray color scheme (washed with black),this would keep the color a bit muted and subdude in comparison to the rest of your army, yet still allow your termies to appear to "fit in" with your army...(rouge terminators who have fallen in with a Nurgle warband perhaps.)

Ok so I have a small dilemma. I've finished basecoating the Terminator unit. After looking at it, I like the armor color but there is a LOT of Rotting Flesh. I'm thinking of doing the helmets black instead of Rotting Flesh. What do you think? Just to give it some contrast. Keep in mind that this unit does not carry a mark.

I still have a ways to go on these guys. Basing, highlights, so forth and so on.

Some updates on the termicide unit. I changed the helmets to black and I am thinking of going with a helmet on the Heavy Flamer guy instead of the bare head (that way we have only one bare head in the unit).

I primed the models white then washed the whole model with badab black. After that dried I basecoated the armor in Gretchin Green (leaving just a hair of black out). After the Gretchin Green I washed again with Thraka Green. After that I used Rotting Flesh leaving some of the green/black out.

WOW! How have I missed this thread!?!? Your army looks fantastic so far! That wash came out perfect. I will admit though, the termies could use a bit more green IMO, but that's just personal preference. I love the Daemon Prince!! Think I may just break the head off mine now & use something different. The winky head is a little ridiculous.

"I primed the models white then washed the whole model with badab black. After that dried I basecoated the armor in Gretchin Green (leaving just a hair of black out). After the Gretchin Green I washed again with Thraka Green. After that I used Rotting Flesh leaving some of the green/black out. "

Duuuude, goood shiit!!!
Very basic termeyz, but very bold, and very well done!!

Quick update. I have the Land Raider built but I'm waiting on some Army Painter Dragon Red spray before beginning the paint job. Same goes with the Berzerkers (I am also debating the ForgeWorld upgrade on these guys).

So in the meantime I'm working on a custom Kharn model. It's inspired by the Kharn conversion that The Vanus Temple did as seen here:

Alright, started on Kharn. Here are my initial pose mockups with blue tac and then a little assembly. Still have lots to do with this guy. I need to add his chain-axe head (off of the actual Kharn model), I'm going to extend the chain coming off of his left hand, need to fill a few gaps, and add a couple more skulls.

Alright, just have to greenstuff where the banner meets the pole. Then he is ready for primer.

By the way, I realize his chain-axe is kind of long but I based it on this pic here:

I can shorten it a little more if I decide its too weird
