I do have to say the most dissapointing thing on this thread is that the best space marine chapter wasnt here there was no one with a space wolves army! Whats up with that?

I've seen it before, and it's nice, but it doesn't showcase the manta's primary quality: being just under a meter across.

Holy crap.

That is the coolest manta I have ever seen! I really like when people can do that with a model!!

The ultramarines, Guard, and Necrons are all amazing, as well, really good paint job on all.

New pics of my Imperial Guard, I've added 11 more Russ, a Colossus, and a Medusa. They are all in afrika corp mustard, prior to betting hit with the airbrush.

I like the Afrika Korps inspired guard, that is A LOT of tanks. The thunderbolt is a nice addition, really adds to your army's long-range capabilities.

are there any death korps players out there? I would defiantely enjoy see some krieg guardsmen pics...

Plastic with a base coat of Army Painter platemail spray. They are going to be Grey Knight birdies

this is a scratch built sguiggoth,i made it as tbh i think £70 for something that costs at most 60-70 points is actually redonculas.

i saw the imperial army above and was "inspired" to do one with my orks. i have less points then 6.5 but im getting there.


there are loads of converted and scratch built things, and just a note i only just got the black reach stuff (3 days ago) so thats why none of that is painted. still a fair way to go though. most of the builds and progress is on my ork project blog...(nice plug there )

Most apoc games at my GWS have loads of people so we all just bring normal sized armies and put them together but perhaps one day ill be able to have such an army.

Oh my is it just me or is it everytime I see boxes upon boxes of plastic crack my heart just melts.

I'm trying, as I'm finally settled down and won't be moving house anymore, to get in a regular painting groove and build/paint up a 16 year backlog of minis, including 17 40K armies, three WFB armies, a bunch of Dreamforge Games stuff from the kickstarter, and a buttload of terrain and scenery. Not every army will qualify to go in the Apoc thread here, although if y'all wait long enough, I'll be able to come through with the DKoK army that was requested. In fact, I'm eyeballing moving them up the queue a bit, since I currently list 'nids ahead of them, and I still don't know what the heck I'm going to do about that gorgeous Heirophant's flimsy legs.

Well... I don't have quite as impressive a collection as some of you guys, but over the four years I've been collecting I have built up enough to field a 12.5k bloodborn themed army. Led by warsmith Honsou and his iron warriors.

I'll play. Most folks in the club don't play 40k anymore, but we do like a Grimdark-Mega-Battle once in a while so we use the Warpath 1.0 rules with our homebrew rules for war machines. Gives a big massive game in a fraction of the time. Even with our mega battles however, we don't put a single unpainted mini on the table.
