Here is the complete overall of my 40K. IG, Salamanders, and a bit of Blood Angels. It is fun to play this as a complete army with all three groups, about 6,500 points total.

@ joske: My 'crons aren't worth getting a picture for here atm, they need a lot of repainting. A LOT!
After building (and always adding more) an Imperial Guard army, the last thing I wanted in a second army was more tanks. So, drop pod Salamders looked like a fun idea. I only have one rhino in the Salamanders, and, that rarely ever sees play.
I'm going to break the rules to give you guys an update.
Yes, yes, I know. 1 picture per army. But, I had to take one picture per shelf...seriously! There is still a significant amount not painted or in some cases absent from the photos (in the case of the nids they were sitting in a box elsewhere at the time).
Hive Fleet Nemesis (Missing some Zoanthropes, the Hierodule, a winged Tyrant plus whatever's not assembled yet - so about 3 Assault Broods worth!)
Extinction Angels/Blighted Brigade (Missing a few tanks, some not assembled, the FW Death Guard and the Daemons!)
Imperial Paladins (Missing a few tanks and the LotD)
you need some painting time man you have a mass, a real shame they aren't painted yet, start with the nids I would say then blighted brigade, than If you're still alive finish the Imperial paladins Just kiddin'
WOW! What a great thread!! How did I miss seeing this one before?
Here are partial shots of three of my painted armies. You can click on them and zoom in if you prefer to see things a bit closer.
Just the Panzers from my mid-war FOW Germans. Sorry, the rest of the minis are in my FOW gallery.
My Cadian fleet for Battlefleet Gothic.
And my 11th Cadian Assault (Mechanized) Regiment for 40K. It's small by Dakka standards but it is growing steadily.
I don't have pics of my WHFB Orcs and Goblins army or my 15mm Napoleonics (Austrians and Prussians). Maybe I'll add them in a few years when I'm able to pull them out of storage.
And now it's your turn to put up some pics! What say you, Joske??
@JB: first: your IG is not as small as you think.. your force consists of more moedls then my GK and SM combined.. so don't worry about that It looks like you also have done a terrific paintjob on the gaurdsmen, as well on the FoW mini's and starships
Lt. Coldfire wrote:Damn logg_frogg, may the sanity gods have mercy on your soul while you paint all of that! Plus another 10 rhino chassis and superheavies? *dies*
Yeah it's a truly monumental task! Whats worse is I had to unpaint the majority of it before having to paint it again! Simplegreen is my best friend!
Just as the post above, my army has increased in size quite a bit in the last few weeks. Three Leman Russ tanks, another shock troop squad, a new Marbo for fun. Here are the pics.
Here is my full Guard army. I apologize for the unpainted figures, but as with everyone here there is always something that is a WIP. (In fact, I have a marauder destroyer that isn't even built yet... and I'm in the process of retiring all the metal models, so there are more that are in a tub somewhere.)
Here are my necrons, the full force (not including latest additions with new dex and so)
The unpainted tomb spider is now painted, the only unfortunate model which still isn't painted is the necron Heavy destroyer in the back ><
Both my c'tan seemed to have fell off the image back in the days, now shards (which still are soooo powerful ^^)
Here you are Joske, after alot of whining ><
Orks will come up next time ;D maybe with an updated picture of my necrons. As the Dethos Dynasty will slowly rise form their cardboard boxes after my very hard exams >< (damn you university!)
and yes I possess 10 metal pariahs! xD also 10 metal Immortals!
I only began to collect my Tau last month, so I'm in the early stages of my army. I'm still going back to these models occasionally to fix the highlighting and add more detail, but here's what's currently painted:
There's all my currently painted Tau army.
Still to Paint:
12 Fire Warriors
2 Gun Drones
1 Marker Drone
Still to Paint and Assemble:
1 Devilfish
6 Gun Drones
In the post and on its way:
2 Krootox
12 Fire Warriors
6 Vespid Stingwings
3 VX25 Stealth Team members
No heavy support just yet. I'm not sure what to get. Are Sniper Drone teams worth the points or is it better to go Sky Ray or Hammerhead?
I'm never sure about doing those bases. I kept it clear so it'd blend in with any battlefield I played it on. I guess I could do it... I'm unsure though.

That is a nice looking EC force there. definitely diggin the flames on the nose of the Rhino. That defiler also looks good, with just enough pink on it to really have a neon look.

Very nice indeed I really like those stealth suits
Thanks for the comments guy`s the pink flames feature alot in the army on the defiler the rhino and my champions, chosen and lords need to post more pics.
All the ec in my army have individual paint jobs, one shoulder pad, half helmet pink and one leg etc, all my champions etc have robes so i thought the flames would be an ideal addition to the scheme.

awesommmeeee! you play these often as actual slaaneshi marines?
Thanks theyre my pride and joy I have played when i first got a decent sized force up and ready but havent played in a while, at the moment im just finishing them off and in the process of starting a world eaters army
ok this is all i can give for this for now (cameras broken)
http://s1084.photobucket.com/albums/j418/thelordwatchman/ there are a few missing
in total i should have 20000 points of space marines (including grey knights and each codex of space marines except dark angels)
i also have 10000 points of tau somewhere in a roof
about 6000 points of nids 3000 of dark eldar and 7000 points of orks (including a stompa and a looted War Mumak of Harad into a squigoth)
about one sixth
(not all marines in picture about half or less are there)
my tau are not painted but it has been a while since i could remember where i left them after i did not like the current codex
It's a Haemonculi Biotitan I've been working on: Magnatesque
Spoiler:
FO: Heavy Support Squad: Magnatesque Unit: Magnatesque, Points Per: 250, Models: 1*, Unit Type: Gargantuan Creature, WS-4, BS-1, S-8, T-8, W-4, I-4, A-3(4), Ld-3, Sv-6+. Wargear: Gnarlskin 2 Close Combat Weapons 2 Twin-Linked Heavy Liquifier Gun
Special Rules: Night Vision Power from Pain Altered Physique Slow
Options: None.
Weapon: Heavy Liquifier Gun Range-Template, Str-5, AP-D6, Type-Assault 1.
Though I'm tempted to give it Regen (roll a D6 for each lost wound at the start of each turn - on a 6 regain a wound.) Slow... I forget what slow was meant to be... I vaguely think it was something like.. no I do not remember at all. xD
That's possibly because I entirely didn't see it in a charity shop and picked it up and modified it to make the bio-titan I'd recently designed at the time.
Still needs a littleGS work and paint - maybe I'll post another pic when I've actually finished painting crap or if anyones interested it'll end up in my P&M blog whenever it's done
There's a few fairly spectacular looking DE armies around. Makes my painting feel haphazard and wholly inadequate tbh xD
I actually decided to slap some paint on my biotitan today - maybe next week I'll finish it. Then I've got a Warhound equivalent one waiting in the wings to do.
Sicarus probably didn't feel well after the late night party with calgar being victorious over yet another hive fleet. You might be a marine but you WILL be hungover!
Awesome Marines man, would love to have such an up and finished army standing in my showcase
Firstly I have to say some of the armies on this thread are mind-blowing in size and quality. Its great for ideas and inspiration to get painting.
Now ive finally got around to getting my armies together for group photos, so here they are:
My Deathguard Chaos Space Marine Army (approx 2000pts):
Including Inquisitor Eisenhorn based Daemon Prince and corrupted metal Grey Knight terminators
My Disgraced Black Knights of Mousillon Bretonnian Army (approx 1500-2000pts)
Every model (except horses) is metal in this army. Ive got a big bag full of enough bits for another 2 units of 9 Knights of the realm, all converted from Voland's Venators regiment of reknown
My Sisters of Battle Army, The Sisters Venatores (approx 2000pts)
As can be seen this very much work in progress, but the idea is the army is from a Hive world and such has adapted to fight in tight confounds and upon the ash wastes
My Lizardmen Army (approx 6000-7000pts):
The army ive had the longest, still needs a lot of work to get it all finished....maybe it will happen some day! Picture doesnt show the 3rd (old style) stegadon in pieces, as well as another unit of (old style) temple guard)
@scrunty, do you have a thread you can link me to that shows some closeups of your Nurgle army? I am in the process of painting/collecting up a plague marine army and looking for inspiring stuff (particularly in tanks and Typhus)
found larger picture. need higher quality but shows majority of the 91st Experimental.
some need paint yes, but im trying to preserve whats left of my sanity and slowly paint the guardsmen troopers over time instead of 1 sit down.
Wow. I cannot comprehend how some of you fine painters manage to get so much done! I have been playing for years (off and on) and only really have one finished army to my name.
I'm sorry I've forgotten your name, but whoever it was that painted that Cygnar army with the white and purple warjack, that was just beautiful. Stunning work.
Also, the Exodite army was a real favorite too. Nice work there, it's amazing how different head swaps and an atypical paint job can make an army look!
The aforementioned one finished army... Storm Eagles.

Is this a counts as Blood Angles army or what because I see a couple of melta guns in the assault squads. I am confused.
Again super awesome armies dripped in over the days, love the new stuff!
The Legios Custodes Looks freakin awesome. I really need to get my crons to a decently painted level, YOW RAMZETH! GET YOUR ASS PAINTED YOU LAZY PHAERON! Dethos will return...
some very noce adiions came in in the last few days really love the strom eagles, but the picture doesn't honour the paintjob sadly well done everyone !
I have a WoC and a Skaven Army worth several thousand points each, I'll post some stuff soon. I also had a 4000 point O&G army (before upgrades) that I ended up selling.
Holly crap i just noticed that giant tank to the left lol, well i guess the rest of it was pretty distracting
It didn't all fit in, the Thunderbolt and Palidin knight are missing from the picture. I'm hoping to get everything out at one time again to get a better set of pictures.

Well, how could you! Get in there and get that pic man!
The images an't the best but here is all of mine, baring afew that are currently loned out.
The Foot sloggers. The IG are just short of 1500pts, the SM about 900pts-ish
The mighty IG armour. Just short of 2000pts worth.
Upper shelf are one Vixen urban battle tank (counts as LRBT exterminator), three Bob Cat PCV 9 (counts as Scout Sentinels), Dragonfly 45 (counts as a Valkyrie), four Armoured Sentinels, two MK1 Battle Sentinels (counts as Leman Russ Exterminators) and one MK4 Superheavy Battle Sentinel (counts as nay of the LRBT range so long as I get round to making the turets).
Lower shelf are four Chimmieras, two standed Leman Russes and one Hyda "Lead Slinger" patten.
Wouldn't think it would you? About 880 pts are tied up in all the characters in front... Still the rest is well over 3000 pts. It keeps inching up there step by step...
logg_frogg wrote:@Ribon Fox - Nice army! Would love to see the whole thing on a table at once
Thanks its not as well painted as the other armys on show but then again I'm a lazy painter. Spary'em black, dry brush on some white panit the flesh and give it a quick wash. Table top standerd at is best
A long time ago in a city far far away... I was working for GW(just a plain old redshirt) about the time of the release of WFB 7. Our Local manager(the guy that was in charge of all the stores around Houston) wanted the guys to participate in a 3k WFB Leauge. I think I was the only redshirt that didnt have any kind of Fantasy army at all and the leauge started in two weeks. So I had to pick an army and get it built fast. We got extra points if your army was fully painted (3 color based basic). Thank the Dark Godz for the employee discount. I picked the fastest,to build, meanest and most points sucking army at the time.
Here for all of you to see now.....
3k of Ogers! **
** At the time it worked out to 3k. I tried with Ab to remake my old list (I have no idea what maigc stuff I gave them so long ago) and the best I could point out to was 2690 or so..Mabye I had a couple of hunters... I wonder where they are?
I'm currently working semi-furiously at repairing and finishing my Dark Eldar and Tau, and working on my Skaven, when ~fin I'll repost the DE and Tau and post the Skaven
I'd say that was around 125 - 150 points of Mercs as of July last year. I've added several Solos to it, so probably need to do a recount - there are also some figures rom my Minions that can pull double duty in my Merc army, such as Rorsh and Brine or Alten Ashley, who aren't in these pictures.
Love the armies I'm seeing here. There are my Orks, with photo upload by a gentleman from the Colonial GT, thanks for the picture as my camera lapsed that morning Its 1850 right now. I'm proud of it as I took the challenge to go with yellow. I'll be raising it up to 2000 pts before Mary 24th. My goal is to add 1 unit full painted every other month until I have quite the Waaagh available.
I should get around to my own photo's soon.
The future display base is being planned. I'm debating making a Ork Glyph the models will stand on, with cut outs in the Glyph for HQ choices. The Glyph will then be placed on the current display board, or 1 that's larger. My experience from the Colonial is I'm pushing Max models on the tray as is. The current board is identical to the current basing scheme.
Current List: There is a post with upgrades here, here's the basics.
I cannot stress how much the Kromlech Bodies were easier to work with them Mircoart. Kromlech were $1 more a box of 4, however it is well worth it. They paint up cleaner. There are lots of head swags, lots of weapon swaps. There are a few boys who have peg legs, and pirate orks. Some of the hats are green stuffed myself, and about 10 boys so far with sculpted beards, fumanchu's, and dreadlocks. In a few months every boy will have some green stuff work done.
That is a lot of marines dude and excellent paint. Nice living room table as well? What kind of camera did you use? I am having trouble with getting good pics.

Thanks. Army was arranged on my coffee table, my normal desk wasn't big enough to hold it all. I use a Canon Rebel XSi with the kit lens for the pics.
Wow nice army. Is that a counts as TFC in front of the pred on the right hand side of the table? Cause I've been thinking of Doing a WW conversion like that for one.

That's actually an Air Defence Launcher from Forgeworld if I'm not mistaken.
Must! Keep! Thread! Alive! until! I! can! upload! my! own! pictures!
This isn't threadnomancy, right?
Great Job everyone, by the way! Just read the entire thread because I just kept finding awesome stuff.
i know i've displayed mine (probly twice ), but due to its constant growing size I always have this urge to get another Army Picture with the new Additions in formation.
New Super Heavys, new troops (or simply a bunch of troops all painted as opposed to just based), new tanks and so on lol.
the 91st Experimental is constantly salvaging machines or digging up prototypes from the mechanicus Vaults on their home world.
Hi there long time lurker(8 years lurking) first time poster. Here's a pic of my almost finished IG army. Some of you older gents may recognize the theme.
The Cobra IG Army is awesome!!
I'm totally loving the command squad with Techno-Vipers.
And those Trouble Bubbles are great!
COOOOBBRRRRRAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!
Rise from the Dead! RISE!!! and bring forth the awesomeness of the Dakkeites armys!
Also so many who wished to display their armys could find the thread again instead of having to dig through the forums.
Hres the all army together. I am also selling some old stuff, and painting new ones, since this was my first 40k army, and I dident know how to paint back then, so it will be upgraded soon ^^)
Ovion wrote: If you have a local GW go in on a quiet day (normally mon/tue/thur) and ask to use one of the boards to take a photo.
As for unpainted - get to work then!
Yea The local GW could work.
As for the painting im trying. Iv just got alot to do XD
I hear you on that, I haven't even really started on my 4k eldar, I'm still painting local comissions, way too much power armor. Once I'm done with SoB and Space Puppies, then maybe I can get my Eldar out, then my Tau, then mine and 2 other's Chaos.
It's wonderful to see so many new impressive armies in here!

update of mine
Very impressive force!
I keep updating my Army Picture.
I think ill have to do it every X number of units.
probly like 5 tanks or vehicales and some number of infantry would be my minimum requirement for an update personally.
Then again i can crank out units like made if i get on a roll!
Currently in the process of building everything not in the photo, and repairing / basing / painting what is. When done, I'll have pictures of 18000 points of Warhammer 40k to put up.
