Secrets of the third reich does seem a good game but i have too many games on my plate at the moment to be even slightly interested what with Wrath of Kings and Arena Rex Kickstarters coming and also playing Infinity, Dreadball, Kings of War and Malifaux.

Just a small update re the club board. We have had a small change in board members roles. I've been promoted from vice-treasurer to treasurer and we also have changed the title of club president to chairman simply so we can have Chairman Moe, yes really.

First offical Deadzone demos will be at Athena on Monday the 2nd December.
Wll also be running some down Iceni on Saturday 14th December.

Ok guys I'll have a write up of the warhammer escalation league rules with me this week for everyone to have a read through and suggest changes to so we can finalise everything before the Christmas break. Also I'll have Deadzone with me tomorrow if anyone is interested. I've got all 4 faction built and should have a few basic buildings put together too. I even nearly know the rules.

The Warhammer escalation league starts tomorrow. I hope everyone who's taking part remembers their stuff. I'm really looking forward to playing against a whole load of new and hopefully great looking armies.

Just finished getting my first 500pts painted tonight. The next stage is really going to be a challenge though, 30 more Daemonettes, 5 Seekers and a Seeker Chariot in 6 weeks.......

Hi all, last night we completed the 500 point stage of the Warhammer escalation league. Here now are the points standing for both the gaming and painting competitions after the 500 point stage.

Gaming:

1st: Leigh 14 points
2nd: Jamie 12 points
2nd: James 12 points
4th: Nick 8 points
5th: Greg 7 points
5th Moe 7 points

Painting:

1st: Jamie 5 points

3rd: Greg 4 points

It's still close and everything will probably change dramatically as we work out way through the next stage. Roll on next week and the start of the 1000 point games.

I did word my previous post rather poorly however I would rather you didn't post about things you're trying to sell, now coming along on a Monday night to talk about it that I don't mind but (this goes for Stormwell and everyone else too) please keep the attempts to sell stuff to a minimum.

Just looking through the fantasy rule book again and as far as I can tell, the casket of souls does NOT need line of sight, and it can move. So completely played that game wrong. Oh well, live and learn.

Hi everyone, Jack here. I'm back on Monday, just wondering what everyone is doing gaming wise?

The fantasy league is still going, though I did manage to sneak a 1000 pt 40k game in the other day with my Thousand Sons. Rather predictably I lost but I did shot down Alex's Vendetta with my Land Raider which I'm taking as a morale victory.

Would anyone be interested in getting together one evening or weekend and doing a video battle report? 40k or fantasy.
I fancy doing some vids for youtube. I don't have a table though, so if anyone has gaming space and want's to be a youtube star then let me know.

Hi guys, it's a bank holiday next Monday so as per usual everything moves to Tuesday.

Also it's the 1500 point fantasy painting judging next week.

Yikes I've been neglecting this thread anyway I've got an update on the escalation league and a reminder for everyone.

Firstly the escalation league update, I've not produced one of these in a while as everything has been a bit confused owing to various catch up games that needed to be played but here are the current standings now that the 2000pt stage is over and everyone has caught up.

Jamie: 48
Leigh: 48
James: 46
Moe: 36
Nick: 35
Greg: 27

Nice and tight at the top of the table, should keep things interesting for the final set of games.

Now for the reminder, it's a bank holiday on the 25th August so barring anything unusual we'll be moving to the following Tuesday (26th).

Hi, thanks for your interest in the club. Unfortunately 40k is pretty much dead at our club these days (seems to be mostly a mix of WHFB, Bolt Action, Star Trek Attack Wing and the occasional board game now) because a lot of us didn't take kindly to 7th ed. You might want to try some of the other clubs listed in this thread or at Athena Games.
