And topical, with the new Mechanist DLC coming out for Fallout 4 this month that lets you hunt and build robots. I bet that'll help hype some people up for TNT robots, myself included.

If you take the lorekeeper or w/e boss for preservers you can take lots of heal-o-bots though they aren't particularly offensive. Another elite/specialist dudeets you take a wreckit bot which is like a hittier version of the dependo bot, you can also add a dependo to that gang. But you'd need some mooks to unlock any robots that counted as specialists sooo...only half robots at best.

You can always do counts-as Robots for the rest of the mooks. Like Synths or Cyborgs or androids or something.

Exactly the reason I asked. I had a similar idea, though using the other robot team.

I've got a bunch of the HAZMAT troopers from Hasslefree Miniatures. If I could combine them with robots, they'd make a really cool Institute themed Preserver warband of early gen 1 Synths and Institute handlers.

I know, but there are certain game mechanics that would improve a robot themed warband. Higher mettle, special rules like oblivious (the rule that rad zombies have), immunity to fear etc. You could call your human with a shotgun a robot with a shotgun, but at the end of the day he's still going to run away/behave like a human with a shotgun.

Everyone loves robots and yes they will not only have their ownwarband, but also hardware and software upgrades, that will work similar to mutations. Telescoping arms, treads, etc. However, they are a bit ways off as they will be in the technology book that is upcoming after the upcoming Wasteland Compendium. All in good time!

For me this is something I've been asking for quite some time now and it would be an utter witch move to complain about things like shipping now, especially when unlike some piece of gak companies out there, the shipping is quite reasonable for a change, almost as if the creator cares for any potential customers outside of the US.
Decided to slightly up my pledge to include a set of bottle caps and a nurse + dog combo.

Or is this just for fixed balanced rules from the previius pdf?
It's for a print version of the .pdf rulebook...
So this is pretty much a huge waste then. I mean the creator said there is a lot of errors in the rulebook as is now, and that there will be a lot of changes.
No reason to back to get a old out dated incorrect rulebook

It will be errata'd, as per creator comments, but no new factions or weapons to my knowledge.
I'd love to be wrong on that, but as best I can tell the only new factions/weapons/equipment to be found is in the expansion .pdfs.

The biggest issues we are looking for (our group) fixed is...
Flamethrowers. Make it a AGI check from the opponent but otherwise its a auto hit. Most games out there flamers auto hit and its just a save or dodge. Was told from the creator this was a great idea, but would like to see it implemented.
Leveling in campaign. Was told there would be 2 charts. The original and one that is better fitted to gaining stats based on what the model does. So many times in campaigns gun guys gained strength. Useless as they needed better range. Was told this would be added also.
Hesitant to give any money for this without knowing those fixes.

Post by: NewTruthNeomaxim
I could see the Flamethrower item sneaking into the book under the notion of it being "errata", but the 2nd leveling chart, like the 2nd Wasteland Encounter deck is probably too extensive, and will need to wait for that sexy expansion which is in the works.

I know this is a terrible answer, but house-rule it? Our Necromunda/Mordheim games were affixed with piles of house rules (the latter especially) - this kind of campaign you are never going to get as water tight a system based on single game systems.
Agree totally that it would be great to have as perfect a game on release as possible, but I'm sure it wouldn't be a deal-breaker if it wasn't..

From the introduction of the main rulebook:
My Game, Your Rules
TNT is a game that highlights the best of the post-apocalyptic genre. I have included my favorite parts and omitted other tropes. As such, I highly encourage you to use what you want and discard what you don’t. If you prefer a low-tech world simply ignore the rules for relics. If you don’t like mutants just don’t use that warband. So please make these rules your own – bend and break them as you like, as long as you (and the other players!) are having fun.

I don't want to derail this anymore then it has been. Im glad the KS is doing good. Got my answer on what the KS was for and just isn't for me. Will buy the new expansions, but we as a group have many pdf books already. My point is while it says that, I don't want to sit and change rules up to better make it for our group. Zombies are in as part of a scenario or two as AI controlled elements, either as an extra factor to make things more difficult for the players, or as the objective that needs to be hunted down for a reward.

Barzam wrote:I believe I had seen someone mention that there were rules for zombies in TNT. Are those in the main rulebook or a supplement? Are zombies AI driven or player controlled?
A very rudimentary AI control (they always move toward, and try to attack the nearest target... perfectly "zombie" flavored).
Their rules are, iirc, printed in the supplement that includes print and play standees for individuals to use if they don't have models. I believe if was a $2.00 supplement on their website. Its a cool scenario, especially if you play the tweaked version where they reduced the number of zombies to an actual playable amount. :-p

There are variants (regular and irradiated), their description is more akin to that of the Fallout 3 feral ghoul (and its glowing cousin) than a traditional zombie, but they are quite alike and not that hard to use for special "end of the world" scenarios involving loads and loads of undead.
70053
Post by: GrimDork
It's simple zombie stuff. Spawn x a turn at each point until you have too many, small chance of irradiator. Player w/o initiative gets go move zombies each turn (so alternate each turn) but if they're within Los and charge range they do that automatically.
As long as that nickel city stories bat rep did it right .

Whats the official ETA for everything? Are there separate ETA's for miniatures and the hardback book (.e.g if the book printing takes months longer than the miniature casting), or do we get our entire pledge in one go? I'm not complaining, just want to temper my expectations if its going to be a long wait.

It says September as the ETA for shipping. Right under the description for each pledge.
I'm almost certain everything ships in one go, as shipping two waves would probably be too expensive for them. It doesn't actually explicitly say that anywhere that I can see, but I'm almost certain I'm right.

Frequently Asked Questions
Below are the most common questions we have received so far. Feel free to message any other questions, concerns, or issues you may have.
I pledged at the Wasteland Veteran level, how will you get my email?
Don’t worry. When the Kickstarter closes out, we will send out surveys. You will give us your email at that time. Note that your Kickstarter email and the email you purchased the original PDF with do not have to be the sa We know folks use different accounts across multiple platforms. Just let us know the email you purchased the PDF under and we will verify it. We will contact you if there are any problems.
Will you be expanding the printed rules to account for the new scenarios, etc.?
No. This Kickstarter is about delivering on time. The book has already been laid out to the standards our publisher requested and any additions would dramatically expand on our timeline and pricing. It should be noted that the scenarios and other material are still being worked on at this point and we still need to playtest them some more. They will not be ready by the time the book goes to print. We will be fixing known typos and errata issues, both as quality control, and they require only minor shifts in layout.
Why not combine the PDF supplements into the main book?
For two main reasons. One, as we said above, the book is already done at this point and we cannot expand the book without delays. Two, the supplements have their own developmental costs, to include art and graphic design. As such we cannot simply add them to the book free of charge without taking a substantial financial hit. We are quite proud of the quality of our rulesets, but this comes at a literal price. It is also not a simple fix of upping the price of the book to compensate. Since the book was made first and publishing the original rules is the entire point of the Kickstarter, there seems little need to fix what’s not broken. In the future our supplements may be captured into a printed book when there is enough of them to warrant the cost, but for now they must remain PDF’s, which we think are still a good value.
How do the add-ons work?
For now, you only have to worry about your initial pledge level. In the future we will send out a comprehensive survey that will allow you to choose your add-ons and calculate any additional costs. This will be done automatically by the survey so you don’t have to stress over it. So just decide your pledge level and relax.
Can I order two or more books to save on shipping?
Absolutely. However, our shipping costs factor in a single book due their heavy weight. If you choose to add-on additional books, we will have to add a small shipping fee later on, but this will not exceed $5.00 per book. So it may make economic sense to share a pledge and shipping costs with friends.
Can you do local pick-up?
Right now I cannot say, but I think we can probably pull this off. If you live in the Maryland/DC area, or perhaps will be attending the NOVA Open convention, we should be able to hold your items and deliver to you. If this happens, we will refund most of, if not all, of our shipping charges. We cannot hold items long term so you will need to make arrangements for picking them up rather quickly. Once the surveys go out we should know more about doing this.
Are the items produced for the Kickstarter exclusive?
No, eventually all items will be available to the public in some form. However, pledging gets them early, at a discount, or free depending on the item. We are completionists ourselves and understand the frustration of not having access to a gaming product and we don’t want to do that. Do any of the miniatures come painted? No. All miniatures come unpainted and unassembled.
How does shipping work?
Our tentative ship date for all physical products is September 2016. This is dependent on turnaround from our printer. Our plan is to ship all physical products in one go to reduce costs. PDF’s that are already completed, namely the rulebook and supplements, will be sent out soon after the Kickstarter closes; the newly unlocked PDF’s will go out after they are written and playtested, which will be no later than September. Keep in mind that after the Kickstarter closes that it will take some type to sort through over 250 different pledges. So it will be a little bit before the PDF’s get sent out.

This game has really gotten my hobby flowing. So much creativity and cool ideas have poured out since I picked up the pdf back in November (?). I've spent the last couple months building warbands and terrain and have assembled an entire tables worth of awesome stuff. We plunked down our terrain the other night in the game shop and really blew people away with what we've been working on. Just started a campaign for our group and have finished the first round of games.
Here's a teaser of one of our tables. If this doesn't make you want to play TNT - I can't help you.
I've been playing the Hubologists - Fallout fans might recognize them from Fallout 2. They are the post-apocalyptic remnants of the Church of Scientology. I use the Tribal rules to represent their backwards ideology and access to psychic powers. Here's my warband (before adding two more guys since gaining some barter script from the campaign).

@Killionare thanks but those don't quite fit the look I'm going for. Even the vinni one is off.
I'm looking more for this look, tall (but not ogre sized), hunch backs.
It seems like sculpting my own is the only real option. in 2014 I sculpted one but it was pretty bad. How many supermutants would a starter warband need? I'd want a melee/shooting split. I don't know what the heavy weapon options are but minigun and plasma are classic choices. Supermutants should be tough but not power armour tough.
Sorry if this is too OT.

Post by: GrimDork
Any mutant can take the 'big' mutation which puts them at 8 ft tall and on a 40mm base with an extra wound and a couple other bonuses. Costs a bit but itsca solid choice.
You can't buy the fancy armor for mutants with physical mutations so you're looking at topping out at 5 points of armor per, if you even bother. Regular mutants are 27 points and 15 to make them big runs you 42 points base. Then 10-20 for a gun, under 10 for most close combat options. So regular super mutants hypothetically costing you 50-70 points depending mostly on the gun and extra upgrades. Adding a detriment can save you 5 or 7 points but they definitely are drawbacks.
Your boss stats at 80 plus big and gear, and there are specialists as well. The gunner capable of taking s minigun runs a bit higher than standard mutant and the gun is 20-30 points or so.
So counting 120-150 points for an omega (or psychic Lord) you might squeeze in 4 more 60 point mutants. If you trim the fat down to nothing you can probably manage the boss and 5.
So TLDR 5-6 super mutants is my best rough guess being unaware of your specific proclivities for gearing.
If you're running a campaign be aware that you *can* make enough barter scrip in a single wasteland run to afford another mutant though it's by no means guaranteed. You can also get a dependo bot, wasteland critters, and so on from successful after game events. Just a thought.

Not sure yet - thinking maybe a 'Fist of the North Star' style bandits/raiders group, using the EM4 miniatures.
That or Omega Man. just saying....
This game has a hell of a lot of old school charm, and that is its greatest asset. Not to mention, the Fallout angle, I cant love this one enough, of course I want in.

Nice looking minis, I can imagine them being lead by someone like this guy.. (who of course communicates telepathically)

I must own and paint this.
Is it a real model, or scratch-built from bits?
Nope it's an actual mini release, annoyingly for the life of me can't remember which company do them. I have a bookmark on another computer so will get back to you about it..
That's from Trollforged: http://trollforged.com/store/sci-fi/mutants.html#mutant-overlord
There's also this dude from Reaper:

Wow... that Reaper model is great.
For my "not-super-mutants" I used a generous amount of Big Body mutation to justify the base-size, and then kit-bashed some Bullgryn/Ogryns from GW which are actually really good kits for this purpose.

Reaper:
Mantic:
Messyart also does a couple (hmn, can't find any finished ones of it):
Along with a Centaur.
And if we're going for the classics, this Floater's just greenstuff and cocktail sticks.

Just a random aside, but we played another game of this last night, and I just have to say again to fence-sitters that you owe it to yourselves to play this game.
It and Guild-Ball are the two games I regularly feel to be disproportionately well-made. I know that is an odd statement, but they are soooo good that you would never guess that they come from small publishers/individuals. Both are so lovingly made, so feature rich, and so "complete" right out of the gates, that they feel like they will be played and remembered in twenty years, amongst the big players in the industry. I don't think I have any other way to capture the sentiment I am going for beyond saying they feel like major, notable games that should be in our hobby's required-reading lists.
The thought of TnT getting a BIG expansion, even a .pdf one in the next six months has me more excited than ANY release across all of table-top mini gaming.
Edit: Incidentally, since this has become a bit of an official TNT thread, let me ask current players a quick question. Is there any set of skills, mutations, etc... that would allow me to have someone carrying a two-handed ranged weapon, and a ballistic shield? I'm trying to cook rules up for a particular model I own as a super-mutant, and couldn't find anything passable. I could be missing it though because I could've sworn I once read some rule about holding a two-handed item in one hand.

Totally agree. This is an excellent game.
Multi-limbed mutation? It's ambiguous - but I would allow it.
Also want to share the newest addition to my Hubologists.
Lawyers and roaches – even the end of the world could not stop them. When the Hubologists march to battle, they send out The Lawyer to declare war and "sue" their adversaries as was the ancient custom of the Church of Elron in the times before the Great Deluge. Each lawyer is a champion of combat who obtained a sacred law degree from the ruined depths of one of the law schools of San Francisco in order to cast off their old identity and be anointed by the Hubologists for war.

You can have a two handed gun and a ballistic shield, but I don't think you can use both at the same time. You'd have to switch. Which kinda defeats the purpose. A dependo bot probably could by integrating the two handed gun. They can't have armor but maybe shields are ok, never looked. But if it's a mutant... the two/multi limbed thing just gives you a skill rather than an actual functional hand slot.

Thank you for your kind words. Right now there is no specific way to be equipped with a two handed weapon and a shield in the same turn. It's kind of hard to fire a shotgun and have the shield forward facing, space marine boarding parties aside. That being said, I have always been a fan of cool conversions. If you did that, and took the multiple limb mutation, I would allow you to use that to dual wield a shield and other weapon.

Thanks Joseph, and all. I appreciate the thoughts. There are definitely tons of easy, homebrew ways to get things to work, but with TnT I always try to be particularly mindful of that one passage in the rules that encourages fairness and fun above all else, and discourages min-maxing.
I don't want to make TOO good of a character, but I just have a couple of fun Ogryn/Bullgryn conversions that I was hoping to sneak into my Mutant Warband. :-p
Meanwhile, no need to thank me for any kind words. At this point I have worked for more than fifteen years in either the video-game industry, or more recently in miniature war-gaming/boardgames. Your game is one of my favorite pieces of entertainment across all of those. I really am a huge fan, and that is simply because you earned it. TnT has every right to compete with the big players in this hobby, and I will always shout that from the roof-tops until more folks give it a try.
Too many communities have that 40k/Warmahordes stranglehold which just does a disservice to some of the most amazing games produced in the last decade... of which your game is one.
Now, to stop gushing and be more self serving.... GO WORK ON THE EXPANSION! Marky needs a new encounter deck, tons of new loot/gear, and plenty more scenarios!!!

Just something I asked about in the Misc-Games forum, but as there are more TnT enthusiast eyes here...
Does anyone recommend an active place to discuss TnT? List-building... campaign and other homebrew rules, etc? I feel like i've met enough people who love the game that surely there must be an active forum somewhere, where people discuss it?

Yes but one thread discussing the game's kickstarter does not equate to an active TNT community on Dakka Dakka. It doesn't have its own sub forum for instance, so any TNT posts will be lumped in with lots of other games.
I recommend the Facebook group. Its very active.

The Facebook group is very active. I post there often.
Also, I recommend lead-adventure. de in their post-apocalyptic subforum. I have a hobby and progress blog hosted there. Also I posted the first round of my TNT campaign there.
But that said, let's get some TNT content on Dakka! I'll try and start cross-posting some of my content here and not just the Facebook and lead-adventure.

Please do post here. I would gladly participate in discussion here, and would love to increase the game's visibility around these parts. It is a criminally underplayed game. While I love Frostgrave for many reasons, it still feels weird when I see how quickly it seems to have found a decent sized base of people familiar with it, while TnT which is... to be frank, a pretty superior campaign experience, remains kind of extra niche.
So is the FB group you guys mentioned the official FB page, or is there a fan group I could be added to?

That said, i'm still excited to be getting my hardcover, and other physical goods. We're also got a FLGS hosting a relaunch for our campaign.

They're merely counters that can be used for things like keeping track of score, to denote what model has been activated or not, or as simple objective markers in the game itself.

Kickstarter update: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/57306923/this-is-not-a-test-post-apocalyptic-skimirsh-ruleb/posts/1670491
By now many of you are probably chomping at the bit to get your hands on that beautiful rulebook. So the question is where are we? The short answer is close, but not yet there. The majority of the books have arrived at HQ. We are still waiting on the shipment to hit Australian shores. This is purely in the publisher’s hands, but I hope it is soon. Even if I had all the books in hand, we are still not quite ready to ship. Multiple casters are currently working around the clock to make thousands of miniatures. I am hoping this will be completed in the next two weeks. Once the miniatures are in hand, I and others will begin the process of sorting and packing the orders of our European, UK, Australian, and New Zealand customers first. They are given priority since their materials have to be mailed to our internal distributors before being sent to the backers themselves. Once those are sorted, we will start packing and sorting our US, Canadian, and South American orders. Once everything is sorted and packed, we will start shipping.
So timeframes. I am still hopeful that we will begin shipping before September’s end, but we will be cutting it close. I also do not want to over promise, so there is a chance we may bump into early October. As usual, I want to thank everyone who offered up their hard-earned caps to go on this little wasteland adventure with me.

Latest update. #28: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/57306923/this-is-not-a-test-post-apocalyptic-skimirsh-ruleb/posts/1692936
It’s been admittedly a little quiet on our end, but we now have enough information to give more definite details of how we will handle shipping. First, the bad news. Sorry to say we are still waiting for some components to be delivered. As a result we cannot ship to our fulfillers in the UK/Europe and Australia/NZ until those components are received. This also will affect backers stateside whose orders contain those components. Now for the sort of good news. Rather than hold up shipping to all backers, we have decided to begin shipping in waves. Wave 1 will be to our backers in the US who did not order the delayed components. Shipping for them will start this weekend and continue for the next two weeks. Simultaneously, we will be prepacking everyone else’s orders, so the moment we get the missing components, those babies are going out. Please be assured that we are working hard to get you your shineys!
Work also continues on the digital products. Eat, Live, Prey is almost done and looks and reads beautifully. The Kickstarter Pack is in lay out. As a teaser, here is a piece of artwork by Zack Dolan. I love the pulp feel of this piece which shows the Grizzly Snake, a monster inspired by a certain post-apocalyptic cartoon.
Finally, the updated TNT PDF should have went out last week via an email blast. All backers who added the PDF to their pledge, or bought a pledge that included it, should have gotten an email with a coupon code for it. All you need to do is go to worldsendpublishing.com, put the TNT PDF into your shopping cart, and then enter the code at checkout to receive a free copy.
That's all for now. As always you make contact me on Facebook or at joey@worldsendpublishing.com if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you.

Shipping Update
Good news everyone!
The nightmare of packing is mostly over. The majority of US orders have been packed into boxes and are going to the post office on Tuesday morning. In fact most of our US backers will have their items in hand by the end of the week.
Wave 2 has been packed and is on its way to Australia in the morning as well. Though our friends in the south should not get too excited just yet. Vivek Chandra at the Knights of Dice has kindly offered to fulfill for our backers in Australia and New Zealand and the big box pictured below has to go to him. He and his great team will then send things out individually. He needs time to sort through things, so please be patient.
Wave 3 is currently being packed and should be headed to the UK within the next couple of days. Rhys Knight is our man with the plan over there and he will be shipping to our backers in the UK and Europe. Again I ask for your patience as Rhys is handling a bigger box and he’s just one man. You can see the orders piling up below. Wave 4 is also being packed and will be going out by the end of the week. This is Asia, South America, Canada, and Africa. We are handling things stateside so should go be pretty go out pretty quickly.
That’s all I have for now. I would like to take the time to personally thank Paul, Jonathan, Chad, Tina, their children, Melissa, and Adam for packing up orders. They bravely gave up part of their weekend to help us out. With their help, we got at least a week’s worth of work done in two days. Huzzah for them!
As always you may send your feedback and questions to me at joey@worldsendpublishing.com. Joey McGuire

Kickstart the Wasteland Coming!
Greetings wastelanders.
First, a bit of business. We have shipped out packages to the majority of our US backers. The boxes going to our fulfillment folks in Australia, New Zealand, Europe, and the UK have also all gone out. We will start shipping next week to our friends in Canada and the rest of the world.
Second, Kickstart the Wasteland will be released within the next 24 hours. This is almost 30 pages of great material with new art and more of everything. Critters, freelancers, scenarios, and lots more. This is a big thanks to you folks for making it happen.

Digital Downloads
We seem to have problems with folks not getting their emails from Backerkit. To circumvent that, you can retrieve your downloads through your survey via the following link:
https://this-is-not-a-test-post-apocalyptic-skimirsh-ruleb.backerkit.com/
From there you can download Kickstart the Wasteland and Eat Live Prey, assuming you purchased the latter. It goes without saying, that you will not be able to download either if there is balance due on your pledge.
Also, here is a helpful tip from Joshua Pinder:
If anyone is having trouble accessing your Backer Survey or did not receive a direct email from Backer Kit with a link to it, you can prompt the site to send you the email by going...
Login > Find Your Backer Survey > search for This is Not a Test > enter the email address you used when you fulfilled the Survey.
I've just done this a few minutes ago. I never made an account at the time, so recovering my account (Lost Password) did not work, because the account does not exist. I was able to get a link emailed to me.
All the best.

Small update concerning the missing chits from Kickstart the Wasteland: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/57306923/this-is-not-a-test-post-apocalyptic-skimirsh-ruleb/posts/1712448
As some of you may have noticed, we accidentally forgot to include the required chits for the Rad Zombies Must Die Again scenario in Kickstart the Wasteland. We have since uploaded two new downloads to Backerkit to fix this issue. First, is a reupload of the whole document with the chits included. The second is just the chits by themselves. The chits would have been the last page of the book, so if printed out the PDF already, you can add that last page no problem. We have made no other changes to the PDF.
Sorry for the trouble.

Update #35: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/57306923/this-is-not-a-test-post-apocalyptic-skimirsh-ruleb/posts/1721270
Just a quick update to bring everyone up to speed.
Almost all orders in the US have shipped and should be in good hands by now.
The package to Australia has arrived and orders should be going out this week. Shout out to Vik and crew at Knights of Dice for being on top of the things.
Most orders to Canada, South America, Asia, and Africa have also shipped. There are a few stragglers, but these will go in the mail on Saturday.
Sorrowful news though for our friends in the UK and Europe. UK Customs officials have been quite diligent in their duties and as a result we have hit a shipping snag with the box containing your goodies. This will take a little bit of processing time to get through and much paperwork for me to sort out from across the pond. I do not know how long the delay will be as a result, but I appreciate your patience.
As always you can contact me with questions or concerns.
Thanks all.

I LOVE TNT. We just got a nice wave of new content thanks to the KS delivering, and without resting for seemingly a minute, we get new FREE content as well.
This game deserves so much more attention. Its always surreal to me how much more attention Frostgrave gets (which to be fair is still deserved) versus this gem.

Rad zombies! Yay!
Great to see more material released for the game
Keep meaning to get my PDF copy professionally printed but might just opt for the hardback book if it's suitably lovely!

Is there any more news on this game?
Looking forward to the hardback book being released for general sale, does anyone have any knowledge of the release date?

Update #37 - https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/57306923/this-is-not-a-test-post-apocalyptic-skimirsh-ruleb/posts/1735348
Hi folks. Just diving in here with a short update.
We have shipped pretty much all packages, excepting UK and Europe (more on that in a bit). If you are in Canada and the US and have not received your stuff, give us a shout at joey@worldsendpublishing.com. If you are bit further away than Canada or the US, give it another week or so just to be safe. Shipping ended costing a bit more than we charged you fine folks, mainly due to the USPS hiking their rates after the end of the Kickstarter, so it would hurt to double send when we don't have to.
As for the UK and Europe, the package is still in customs. We have submitted multiple forms and are still waiting. We check Parcel Forces website every day for an update. Since we have no say in the matter, we cannot predict when this will come to a happy and probably expensive conclusion!
So that's all for now. We have shipped over 400 packages and the final 100 is within reach. Soon wastelanders, soon.
As always, you can email us with questions or concerns you may have.

It will get some attention from me if I can buy it as a physical rulebook. At the moment I can only seem to find it for sale as a pdf and I can't manage gaming from a phone screen or a PC. :-(
Looking forward to this coming out in the UK.

Good news wastelanders. The box has finally cleared customs and now is in Mr. Rhys Knight's capable hands. Note he has to go through 100+ packages, so please be patient with him as he sets everything up. We hope to start shipping out later this week with things going out in intervals. Thanks again for everyone's patience. As always you can email me with questions or concerns at joey@worldsendpublishing.com.

May the wasteland spirits grant him the speed and fortitude of a hungry wastewolf! Actual shipping should commence shortly. As always please contact me at joey@worldsendpublishing.com with any questions or concerns.

A week after arrival things are finally moving along, here's hoping it gets sent out before the postal system really gets taxed.

Update #40 - https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/57306923/this-is-not-a-test-post-apocalyptic-skimirsh-ruleb/posts/1769872
Hi everyone. I have been contacted by a few people concerning not receiving their orders yet. The majority of the problem packages are in the EU. I assure you, all orders have been shipped. Given that Rhys shipped them all at the same time from the same post office, I don't believe there is a coincidence that some are delayed. I know that my local post office will sometimes throttle certain package types to make work quotas. So sometimes bigger or smaller packages will be shipped last, while other packages will get priority. Given that and the busy shipping season during the holidays, I am not surprised with the delays. I apologize immensely for this. As a fellow geek I know it sucks when you are anxious for your new shineys!
Please give it at least another week or so before you let the panic sink in. I guarantee that we will make it right to anyone who does not get their package. Book packages are very expensive to replace so we just need to make sure we allow time for delays. I just had a package that was shipped to Ireland suddenly reappear out of the blue after going missing for a month.
For anyone not in Europe, your packages should have arrived by now. If not please get in contact with me.
Thanks everyone and happy holidays!
So yeah, if you're not in the EU or UK and haven't received anything yet, contact the creator.
As for me, at this rate it will probably be until the New Year at the earliest before it arrives.

Would if I could! Problem is, ever since we got privatised the amount of parcel services that sprung up is stupendous. Even a man with a van can start his own company these days. And if there's no T&T number involved, that parcel is from the moment you hand it off at the post office until the moment of delivery gone with no way of finding it. Schrödingers parcel maybe?

Post by: BrookM
If I recall correctly I think the plan still is to start selling them start of the new year, regardless of campaign status and whatnot. You can only sit on stock for so long before you got to move it IMHO. Most of the backers should have theirs by now, aside from some places in the UK and most of the EU.
The long wait is a shame, but can't be helped, as most of it is beyond the powers of the creator. It was stuck in customs for a month, then another two weeks or so spent sorting and packing things, it certainly doesn't help that it's been thrown into that wonderful system known as the Royal Mail during the busiest period of the year, with them threatening to strike again.

Update #41 - https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/57306923/this-is-not-a-test-post-apocalyptic-skimirsh-ruleb/posts/1775044
For those who are afraid of clicking links or just plain lazy, here be the post:
Successes
Since the launch of the game in 2015 World’s End Publishing has delivered a 175-page rulebook, both in PDF and hardback, three supplements, and small, but growing miniatures line. Most of has happened in 2016 and frankly we have had a great year.
Our success is built upon the holy trinity of familiar, yet solid, game mechanics, above-standard production quality, and a respect/maniacal love for our players. TNT was built and designed to be a campaign warband game that would let the hobbyist play out their love of Fallout, Gamma World, etc. on the table top with whatever miniatures they want. On this goal, I think we have delivered quite well.
The big push for the year was obviously the Kickstarter. My initial assumption was that we would raise about $5,000 and maybe do a run of a 100 books. In fact I had only written stretch goals up to $10,000.00. We cleared them in the first 6 hours. By the end of 30 days we had raised over $45,000.00 with 500+ backers from all over the globe. The Kickstarter has been the most successful part of 2016 by leaps and bounds, and I think pushed it TNT to the next level. Let’s be honest though. No one gets rich off of Kickstarters by the time you pay for everything, but despite that, it did provide some cash that is being invested back into the game for more art and miniatures, but more on that in a bit.
Challenges
No company is perfect and we are big enough to admit that. I know we still have some folks waiting on their Kickstarter packages, and the wasteland spirits willing, they will show up soon through the holiday shipping bottleneck. Also, I had hoped to release more material this year, such as the Wasteland Companion, but as one-man business, sometimes things get pushed back when real life intrudes. But this does have the added benefit of putting out a more polish product, so it’s not all bad.
Acknowledgments
The Kickstarter
For the Kickstarter, I really want to thank a few key players. First, you the backers for coming out in droves and pushing use to the very end. Second, Dave Taylor for his expert graphic work and awesome turnaround time. If you think our Kickstarter looked professional, it was him. Dave is the man. Third, our fulfillment partners. For the most part, these guys were volunteers. Rhys Knight in the UK handled Europe and despite a major hiccup with customs, still managed to get things rolling very quickly. For our Australia and New Zealand folks, Viv and the guys at Knights of Dice stepped up. I don’t think there is anything Mr. Chandra can’t do; between binding his own copy of the rules, running a company that sells some of the best damn terrain you will ever see, to just being a stand-up gentleman. Finally, the local folks who helped us pack all those little baggies: the Mastbergen clan, Paul M.M. Jacobus, Evan Siefring, and Jonathan McKenzie. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
The fans
One of our biggest points of growth this year was our community. Whether over at Lead Adventure, or the Post-Apoc Forum, or in our Facebook groups (there are several now), folks have been awesome and enthusiastic. What started with a small group of helpful friends has since grown into a small army of supporters. It’s amazingly rewarding to see the awesome terrain and model builds, uniquely written fan material, and just the wacky wasteland weirdness our fans produce. I would like to specifically highlight the work of Paul Coleman and Dakota Howard, just not for their quality of work, but for the crazy volume of it. Amazing work fellows.
Media
Another group I would like to single out is our wily YouTube friends to the north; Ash Barker of Guerilla Miniature Games and his steady piggy opponent Jay Griffiths. If one vector has delivered us the most fans, this would be it. Everyone has a YouTube channel now a days, but few do it as well and with so much enthusiasm and professionalism. I could watch Ash narrate paint drying and still give him money on Patreon. You guys are amazing and I do not take your support lightly or for granted. I have a bit of a treat coming up soon for Ash, so stay tuned for another addition to the wasteland pantheon soon.
I would also like to thank our podcaster friends over at Skirmish Supremacy, Behind Enemy Lines, and In the Garage. Keep up the chatter guys, we really appreciate it.
PAX Australia
Two other heroes who needs to be heralded are Jayden Barr and Jake Biasci. Both of these Australian brutes ran demos at PAX Australia for us. Jayden in 2015 and Jake this year. Both years featured amazing and constantly running demos and fantastic tables. For 2016 we partnered with Knights of Dice and the quality of the tables was through the roof. While I donated some small support and giveaways, these folks did the real work. Guys you have my deepest thanks.
Toys for Tots
This year we also participated in the Toys for Tots auction for Fall-in and the NOVA Open Charity auction. Five different painters donated their time to paint up over 30 miniatures that raised over $400 for a great charity. Paul Coleman, Chris Felder, Randall Davis, and Tom Harryman really stepped up for Toys for Tots. TNT Chief Enthusiast Chris Layfield donated a fully painted peacekeeper warband to the NOVA Open auction and it did quite well indeed. Thanks to you all for being great human beings.
Miniature Sculptors
No game is complete without miniatures and these are some of the industries’ best. Thank you to Ernst Veingart, Patrick Keith, Anton Ducrot, Shane Hoyle, Ywan Manyver, and Sean Bullough for working with me to expand the TNT miniatures line. Most of these will show up next year and hopefully be available soon.
Artists
Adding to the greats from last year are Dario Jelusic, Zack Dolan, and Michael Patrick. Dario has been spearheading some great pin-ups and covers and Michael did the great cartoon stickers we gave away during the Kickstarter. Zack did the black and white artwork for Kickstart the Wasteland. Great artists all around and expect more from them in the future. Don’t worry David Arenas, who did most of the art in the original book, will be back as well.
Playtesters
A quick thanks to Matthew Caron, JD Dibrell, Dave Taylor Miniatures, Chris Layfeld,
Chad Mastbergen, Harold Crossley, Evan Siefring, Cory Szabo, and all the other playtesters who go over everything with a detailed eye. Thanks for making it look like I know what I am doing!
Now that that’s over, let’s get to the good part.
What to expect in 2017!
First, the miniatures. We will be officially releasing our Kickstarter miniatures including the Heal-o-Matic, raider bot, Wasteland nurse and helper dog, and the new peacekeepers. We also have a full warband by Sean Bullough for the cannibal mutants based on the idea of a deranged nuclear family. Also rounding out the new releases are full warbands for both the tribals and preservers by Anton Ducrot. You guys are going to like these and they also fill a niche that is not easily available elsewhere. Anton is also working on some cool power armor and a certain two-headed cow. Of course we had to our own version of this wasteland trope and Anton’s version is incredible. Did we mention the scorpion tail?
Second, new rules. Our next supplement will be the Wasteland Companion which will introduce two new warbands, settlers and renegade Reclaimers, a variant warband for tribals, more skills and mutations, warband ranks, and even more zaniness. Next after that will be the official vehicle supplement. While not going into full autoduel territory, warband building will take a “turn” to the dramatic with new ways of getting your warbands across the wastes. This will represent one of our biggest pushes for the year so expect big things around time for Adepticon.
After that things get a bit hazy, depending on scheduling and other factors, but more is definitely be planned. We know folks want robots, new relics, and a more robust campaign system.
So there you have it. That is where we have been and where we are going. It’s been a crazy you and it’s only going to get crazier.
Happy holidays and see you in 2017

Chances are slim to nil, perhaps a compilation book can be done via a future kickstarter? This campaign was done mainly to crank out a dead tree version of the core rules, which would've been an expensive venture for the owner to finance otherwise.

Happy New Years! As promised the rulebook is officially for sale. Note that due to postal problems preventing some our KIckstarter backers from receiving their packages yet, we will not be selling the book just yet to the UK/EU markets. It's bummer from multiple angles, but it would be unfair to the folks who funded the initial production of the book. Hopefully we can get this resolved in a week or two.

I have a small selection of Brother Vinni minis, a few left over from a Wild West kickstarter done by a fellow Dakkanaut a few years ago and the odd Hasslefree / Reaper mini. Some can be found here.
If the game catches on around here I may also repurpose some of the minis from my Astropolis pledge for the game, who knows?

You mean Fallout?
Thats exactly what I'm doing. I'm playing an NCR Ranger warband (Peacekeepers). I've also got a pretty big Vault 53 warband (Caravanners), a small Brotherhood of Steel warband (Presevers), have made a start on some Tribals (Mormon converts similar to Joshua Graham's tribe) and have got miniatures for Raiders, Mutants and Settlers (a warband which has been hinted at for future releases).

I acknowledge this sucks, but because of the customs SNAFU we had to ship in the middle of the Christmas season. The wait times are aberrational, but I really hope things start to arrive this week. Our fulfiller told us all packages were sent out in one large block and various folks have received their packages, so hopefully the others are just working their way through the bottleneck.
It is my sincere hope this should come to a happy conclusion very soon, but I understand if folks get frustrated. Free free to contact me directly if you would like to discuss further.

Deadlines for EU/UK Shipping
First, I want to thank people for their patience in regards to our shipping issues. We have delivered over 95% of the Kickstarter, but that last 5% is killing us. As such, I am asking everyone who has not yet received their package to wait until Saturday. If you receive nothing by that day, please contact me via my email at joey@worldsendpublishing.com and I will begin shipping replacements immediately. I don't know if things are bottlenecking, dumped in the ditch by an errant delivery employee, or eaten by mutants, but I want to do right by folks and sort this out. Unfortunately, we don't have tracking numbers to offer, so we really can't hunt the things down to much. Also, if you are not Europe or the UK and you have not received your package, please contact me immediately so we can also sort you out. All the best everyone and I hope to see pictures of you all holding your books very soon.
All the best.

It is A4 - full color, HC, clocks in at 170 pages. Binding is a bit wonky - pages are not glued to the inside of the cover spine, just held in by the pasteboards glued to the cover - ominous. Pages are coarse rather than slick - perhaps a thematic choice? Lots of inspirational pics and art, color is rich. They text layout looks very professional, although I obviously haven't spent much time with the text.

Will be interesting to see how much different the layout will be from the digital rulebook, seeing as that was done in A5 size, or along those lines. Could be wrong there though.

Book is standard US letter size 8.5x11 inches for paper size. I can't speak for the binding, so far so good, but the pages are not slick because there was no other options. A lot of us small companies use a single print on demand service and they don't offer fancy page options. I would have loved to done gloss pages personally. Things like that are available if you go with a more traditional printer and running 1000's of copies. Something beyond the scope of our current work. We used the same service the Wargames Vault uses if that helps.
Hope that offers some insight.

After reading the comments section today I've also decided to ask for a replacement, as we've been asked to by the creator and well, I'd rather not be the one to wait another two weeks, then find out that stock is gone or something like that.
Does make you wonder where it all went wrong though.

My stuff came today so it made me a happy bunny! I'm massively excited by this game but the quality of the book was disappointing, the back cover is warped, the inside pages form a kind of S which makes it hard to easily turn the pages and the pages look like they will rip/tear if you turn a page to fast! However the artwork is fantastic and layout is great as well as the quality of the photos. I also got the bottle caps, stickers and pin up reference cards which the quality of them is good. I hope this hits retail so it can be opened up to a wider marker and gain more recognition but the material quality of the book needs to be massively improved. Automatically Appended Next Post: Just noticed at the back of the book that it was printed by a print on demand company in the UK, in Milton Keynes which is 20 mins drive away from me. If this is true I may ask for a replacement book.

Only just noticed now (about a month after my pledge arrived) but one of my add-ons is missing from my box. I sent you a message about it on Kickstarter, Joseph.

Not sure what went wrong with the book, but of the hundreds of copies I have seen, this is the first "bad" one. Your replacement has already been ordered.

Almost Near the End (EU/UK Shipping)
Hi folks. Over the last week multiple folks in the UK have reporting finally receiving their packages. A courier reported to one customer that multiple packages for the UK sat in a warehouse for some time and were only recently discovered. So we solved the mystery a bit on that one.
For the folks in the UK, if you have not received your package, please send me an email letting me know. I know I we have a few fence sitters, but by now I am considering all UK packages not delivered as lost and will be replacing them as soon as possible. Even if you had previously reported to me asking me to replace the package, please send again. We had an email problem and I want to make sure you do not get lost in the shuffle.
Packages have also started to arrive in Europe as well. Our fulfillment partner reported to me that some packages were discovered to have not been mailed and that has since been remedied as of a few days ago. I must answer for that mistake and I humbly apologize.
For our remaining European folks who have not received their packages, please give it a few more days to allow the packages time to wind through the system. Hopefully, they will arrive within the next few days. If you do not receive a package by 24 January, please let me know and I will consider it lost and replace as well.
Regardless of where you are, if you do not receive your package by the end of next week (27 January), please contact me immediately for replacement.
So we are near the goal line of almost every order being delivered. I thank you all for your patience.
Joey

FINAL CALL
Greetings everyone. We have delivered almost all of the backer rewards at this point. If you have not received your package, and there should only be a few of you left, please contact me immediately at joey@worldsendpublishing.com. We are replacing any missing packages at this juncture, so please don't wait any further before contacting me. In your email please include your correct delivery address so I can mail the package to the correct place.
As this is the final call, I will not need to monitor this page as much. If there are any remaining issues of any sort, you may contact me at the above email address instead of messaging me here or leaving a comment. I want to respond to your concerns as quickly as possible and my email is the most expedient way of doing that.
So a final thank you to everyone. We have big plans for the future and maybe even further Kickstarters, though nothing as grand as this monumental adventure. Please keep in touch and join one of TNT Facebook groups below, especially the main one. The community is only growing, so come join your fellow backers.

Still nothing on my end, this is the first KS for me to run into this sort of problem. All I can say is I'll keep an eye on the door and hopefully a more reliable method will be found for future EU deliveries, should another kickstarter happen.

TNT Warband Builder
Greetings wastelanders! I just wanted to bring to your the attention the mighty impressive work of Troy Davidson. He runs a TNT warband website that I think is pretty spiffy.
TNT Warband Builder
Go sign up if you want to play around with different warbands.
Thanks.

Could other game templates work? Those TNT templates look similar to Privateer Press' spray and blast templates.

People with access to the book should be able to check if they're in line with GW's or PP's line of templates.

I've been collecting bottle caps for some months now from beer bottles and the odd coke when I can find them. Going to put in a bag with some stones in the tumble dryer to give them a post-apoc look. Might possibly cost me a tumble dryer but hopefully worth it!
That nurse and dog look brilliant, arguably miniature release of the year!

I'm drowining post-apoc minis and rules so though being somewhat involved in very early playtesting I didn't pay too much attention to the TNT KS. However that nurse and dog fig is lovely. A very cool female fig that is not only sensibly atired, but also not armed is an often hard-to-find combination in wargaming figs.
Though as mentioned I've already got a plethora of post apoc figs, she'd be a great addition to any number of steampunk, dieselpunk or sci-fi settings. Might have to pick that one up...

The sculpting on the nurse seems to be of much higher quality than the bots. That is an outstanding figure!

Totally understand. I am a sucker for "official" gear too.
Don't hesitate it is even better in person! My nurse and dog arrived yesterday and the casting quality was fantastic along with the details on the figures. Going to be lots of fun to paint!

From Facebook:
Wastelanders listen up. This Is Not a Test is coming to AdeptiCon! Come find us in the vendor hall where we will be selling rulebooks and all of our miniature offerings, plus some new releases. There will also be a sneak peek at our next major expansion. AdeptiCon VIG Badge Holders should definitely come by for a free limited edition of Victory Sign Gas Mask Girl. Finally, we are also running a special gaming event Friday and Saturday nights. Come join This Is Not a Test author Joseph McGuire and his stalwart crew for a special participation event. Find death, adventure, and even prizes in a special rolling scenario where you are given a small party of survivors and set to exploring and killing in the wasteland. Games should only take about 15-30 minutes so players are free to walk up and play, no commitment needed. Got some time between games or waitlisted for another event, we got you covered. It’s a great way to have fun and try out the finest post-apocalypse game this side of the Tri-State Wasteland.

From Facebook:
Following Osprey’s and Frostgrave’s lead, and with Joe’s permission of course, World’s End Publishing has created a special branding logo for fan-created material for This Is Not a Test. Homebrew supplements are the sign of a healthy and growing community and I really want to encourage that. So I have asked Dave Taylor to create a special logo that you can add to your homebrew warbands, scenarios, campaign rules, and whatever zany wasteland fun folks can think of. For now you can just save this image, and we will throw up a download page in a bit. Please spread this fare and wide, but we humbly request you attribute it back to us and not to make changes to the graphic itself. Also, this logo is not to be used on any commercial products. As always, any fan material that is particularly good may be picked for official treatment! Thanks everyone.
On a personal matter, my pledge has finally arrived. Not sure if this was the original or the replacement that finally showed up at long last, but oh well, finally!
