Not sure yet - thinking maybe a 'Fist of the North Star' style bandits/raiders group, using the EM4 miniatures.

That's quite a useful link Carlos, thanks for that.
I'm currently torn between a Fist of the North Star-style band of raiders, and a band of mute mutants lead by that Kuato-style guy (from the original Total Recall) who is riding around in a mechanical chair - choices!

@Killionare thanks but those don't quite fit the look I'm going for. Even the vinni one is off.
I'm looking more for this look, tall (but not ogre sized), hunch backs.
It seems like sculpting my own is the only real option. in 2014 I sculpted one but it was pretty bad. How many supermutants would a starter warband need? I'd want a melee/shooting split. I don't know what the heavy weapon options are but minigun and plasma are classic choices. Supermutants should be tough but not power armour tough.
Sorry if this is too OT.

Any mutant can take the 'big' mutation which puts them at 8 ft tall and on a 40mm base with an extra wound and a couple other bonuses. Costs a bit but itsca solid choice.
You can't buy the fancy armor for mutants with physical mutations so you're looking at topping out at 5 points of armor per, if you even bother. Regular mutants are 27 points and 15 to make them big runs you 42 points base. Then 10-20 for a gun, under 10 for most close combat options. So regular super mutants hypothetically costing you 50-70 points depending mostly on the gun and extra upgrades. Adding a detriment can save you 5 or 7 points but they definitely are drawbacks.
Your boss stats at 80 plus big and gear, and there are specialists as well. The gunner capable of taking s minigun runs a bit higher than standard mutant and the gun is 20-30 points or so.
So counting 120-150 points for an omega (or psychic Lord) you might squeeze in 4 more 60 point mutants. If you trim the fat down to nothing you can probably manage the boss and 5.
So TLDR 5-6 super mutants is my best rough guess being unaware of your specific proclivities for gearing.
If you're running a campaign be aware that you *can* make enough barter scrip in a single wasteland run to afford another mutant though it's by no means guaranteed. You can also get a dependo bot, wasteland critters, and so on from successful after game events. Just a thought.

Wow... that Reaper model is great.
For my "not-super-mutants" I used a generous amount of Big Body mutation to justify the base-size, and then kit-bashed some Bullgryn/Ogryns from GW which are actually really good kits for this purpose.

Just a random aside, but we played another game of this last night, and I just have to say again to fence-sitters that you owe it to yourselves to play this game.
It and Guild-Ball are the two games I regularly feel to be disproportionately well-made. I know that is an odd statement, but they are soooo good that you would never guess that they come from small publishers/individuals. Both are so lovingly made, so feature rich, and so "complete" right out of the gates, that they feel like they will be played and remembered in twenty years, amongst the big players in the industry. I don't think I have any other way to capture the sentiment I am going for beyond saying they feel like major, notable games that should be in our hobby's required-reading lists.
The thought of TnT getting a BIG expansion, even a .pdf one in the next six months has me more excited than ANY release across all of table-top mini gaming.
Edit: Incidentally, since this has become a bit of an official TNT thread, let me ask current players a quick question. Is there any set of skills, mutations, etc... that would allow me to have someone carrying a two-handed ranged weapon, and a ballistic shield? I'm trying to cook rules up for a particular model I own as a super-mutant, and couldn't find anything passable. I could be missing it though because I could've sworn I once read some rule about holding a two-handed item in one hand.

Multi-limbed mutation? It's ambiguous - but I would allow it.

You can have a two handed gun and a ballistic shield, but I don't think you can use both at the same time. You'd have to switch. Which kinda defeats the purpose. A dependo bot probably could by integrating the two handed gun. They can't have armor but maybe shields are ok, never looked. But if it's a mutant... the two/multi limbed thing just gives you a skill rather than an actual functional hand slot.

Thank you for your kind words. Right now there is no specific way to be equipped with a two handed weapon and a shield in the same turn. It's kind of hard to fire a shotgun and have the shield forward facing, space marine boarding parties aside. That being said, I have always been a fan of cool conversions. If you did that, and took the multiple limb mutation, I would allow you to use that to dual wield a shield and other weapon.

Thanks Joseph, and all. I appreciate the thoughts. There are definitely tons of easy, homebrew ways to get things to work, but with TnT I always try to be particularly mindful of that one passage in the rules that encourages fairness and fun above all else, and discourages min-maxing.
I don't want to make TOO good of a character, but I just have a couple of fun Ogryn/Bullgryn conversions that I was hoping to sneak into my Mutant Warband. :-p
Meanwhile, no need to thank me for any kind words. At this point I have worked for more than fifteen years in either the video-game industry, or more recently in miniature war-gaming/boardgames. Your game is one of my favorite pieces of entertainment across all of those. I really am a huge fan, and that is simply because you earned it. TnT has every right to compete with the big players in this hobby, and I will always shout that from the roof-tops until more folks give it a try.
Too many communities have that 40k/Warmahordes stranglehold which just does a disservice to some of the most amazing games produced in the last decade... of which your game is one.
Now, to stop gushing and be more self serving.... GO WORK ON THE EXPANSION! Marky needs a new encounter deck, tons of new loot/gear, and plenty more scenarios!!!

Just something I asked about in the Misc-Games forum, but as there are more TnT enthusiast eyes here...
Does anyone recommend an active place to discuss TnT? List-building... campaign and other homebrew rules, etc? I feel like i've met enough people who love the game that surely there must be an active forum somewhere, where people discuss it?

Yes but one thread discussing the game's kickstarter does not equate to an active TNT community on Dakka Dakka. It doesn't have its own sub forum for instance, so any TNT posts will be lumped in with lots of other games.
I recommend the Facebook group. Its very active.
