This post is clutching at straws. You're trying to divorce the events in this video to justify your view when there is no real evidence for it. Nothing at all indicates the possibility of trolling except your predetermined expectations. These people are not WHW staff.

Not to mention that releasing a video which mentions plastic SOB, something which people have been clamouring for for over a decade, in such a way only to go "LOLZ totes jokes guys!" could almost be straight out of "How to Destroy any Goodwill in your Customers 101"

GW has spent all these rumor videos one upping the rumor leaks. If they are pulling a joke its counter productive and all the progress they've made is thrown out for ill will and distrust. I don't believe they'd do that.

If they're going to get a centerpiece model it should be the Basilica, a superheavy which is half tank, half command center and half cathedral.

The idea that Sisters of Battle are going to get a knockoff from the Five Star Stories universe is pretty unlikely, given that Spaz Marinz don't even get Titans.

Oh, come on! A Nagano knock-off would *totally* fit with the 40K aesthetic!

On a more serious (and on-topic note), here's hoping that the Sisters bit is true. They're long overdue.

I don't need a "Sister Freak Show"... you have dark eldar and slaanesh for that. Let's hope GW does something different here.
Besides, I am the father to two lovely daughters who I am trying to share my love of miniature gaming with. The current line of sisters is great for showing powerful women who don't need to flaunt their sexuality (I also had great hopes for Captain Phasma... but I digress). Hopefully, Sisters can continue to be an army that I'm not ashamed to show my daughters (ours will have pink and purple streaks in their white hair... because, reasons."

Yet again, I'm sad, that some people see nudity only in context of sex.
Dark eldar and especially Slaanesh ARE sexualised. Dark eldar in a lesser manner. They do have the twisted "freak show" part of the codex, that's true, but not in the same sence, as SoB. DE are Frankensteins. SoB are religious fanatics akin to some medieval armies and anti-heresy institutions. Two different styles should be in place. I like the current line myself, but would also prefer it to have more penitent engine/repentia/ crazy priests and insane monks type and style of miniatures.

Is nudity shameful? What miniature game doesn't revolve around murder? Warhammer does either way. So it's weird, that we should go bonkers on killing in this universe, but exposed female nipples, backs and legs are a no-no.

If you want strong powerful women as a role model, that are not fictional murderers, there are many-many writers, poets, athletes..
But how "killing" and "role model" mix, I don't know. SoB really shouldn't be, with all the xenophobia, homicide and witch hunt..
If they're PG, kinda kills the fluff.

My apologies, slightly turning the topic off its track...

I'm very happy for SoB players! I might pick some SoB myself, if I like what I see.. But probably 500 points or something, to make it more of a painting experience, rather than large scale gaming one.

I hope the "massive monster riptide flyer 80 pounds kit" trend doesn't touch SoB.

My friend is super hyped for Sisters of Battle.

It wont be earlier than Feb 2017 for SoB anyway, and with the current lack of SoB leaked info, end of 2017 is probably more likely the earliest date to expect them. Sad Panda and others would have posted about SoB if they were arriving sooner.

I will wait for the reliable rumor sources to chime in. Currently there is a single GW comment and a lot of hype. Will it be a board game like Overkill? A complete overhaul of the SoB range? What new kits will they get? A flyer? New character models?

I'd certainly buy more than a kill team of SoB, especially if their missionary and priest buddies are more readily available than a handful on GW Direct. A small army at least. As long as their fantastic metal models are translated into plastic without needless redesign. The Heavy Bolter Sororita is one of my favs ever since my first GW flyer.

I never did because all metal arm as a kid, nope. As a teen I disliked the fact that the Inquisition decided to personally stroll onto the battlefield all the time and needed two codizes (with a rumoured third) instead of the shadow wars I liked.

I do believe there will be Sisters of Battle plastic models within the next 18 months. But we had reliable info about every major 40k and 30k GW release between 3 and 18 months in advance during the last two years, including Assassins, GSC, Deathwatch, Harlequins and Magnus - all turned out to be nearly 100% correct. It would be very surprising if Sisters of Battle are going to be different.

No. Just, all the no.

If Sisters need a Knight, they'll, you know, get an actual Knight, what with both being part of the Imperium and all. If the Mechanicus can get whole Households to swear fealty, I'm pretty sure the Ecclesiarchy could pull off the same.

Crazy cultists/militia? Great. A more tasteful but also significantly freakier version of Repentia(more body horror, less "girls who happen to be nude with strategically-placed scrolls")? Brilliant. Batgak-mental church organ tanks? Love it. Ludicrously OTT robo-penitants? Super. As long as they do the basic, bolter-wielding psychonuns justice I'm up for all of that extra crazy. But for the love of jeebus no more giant walker kits or character models that could fit into a blister but end up being sold as big boxed kits because they're floating 12 inches in the air on some ridiculous plastic swirl.

So you missed the screenies of Atia's blog comments confirming it then? No, we don't know exactly how they'll show up, but they're as confirmed as they're ever going to be until we see the WD.

Yeah agreed

I already have a Sister's themed Knight that is pledged to serve them as an ally. Plastic penitent engines are great.

A super heavy tank serving as a central command point would be cool - but happy to have FW do that. (again a friend has already done this)

I would not even mind a more generic St Celestine with various options as a "Living Saint" model - that could work as the floating giant model.

What I meant/pointed out: We havent been given a release date and concrete infos yet. GW said it isnt soon.

GW's SoB comment is a nice first teaser, Atia's made me very happy, but I won't save money for them this year but next Until we have more info saying otherwise. I cannot see SoB arriving before the next board game.

I love the current Exorcist! A bigger version or varient would be fun.

My impression was that the limo did not happen due to 3rd party models already available?

Or maybe because it doesn't fit with the miner theme they are currently going with?

This is what I expect from the release:

Battle Sisters/ Celestian Squad 10 models $40
Dominion/Retributor Squad 5 models $40
Serephim Squad 5 models $40
Repentia Squad 10 models $40
Cannoness Clampack $30
Celestine Clampack $30
Penitent Engines 3 models

Making the current models for the Celestine($20) and Cannoness($15) at their current prices, which haven't been adjusted in years, a good price.

Nothing codex
Nothing painting guide
Nothing psychic power cards

And also a special flyer in the November White Dwarf that says simply "Haha! Fooled you!"

Guess this is the end of the line for us sisters players, we never get anything good and when we finally see a little bit of hope it gets bogged down by trolls and heretics :(

Was nice to see the discussion going and seeing that there still are thousands of Sisters players around the web lurking in the shadows.
Sisters of Battle players have been desperate for rumours/info for years, heck I even traveled to Games Day UK two years in a row for the sole purpose of asking the devs for Sisters rumours. It's actually kinda sad and fitting at the same time that now when we finally get a rumour it comes from a trashbin over at GW HQ.

Before I got here are my latest ramblings regarding the rumour from January this year.

What the kits could be is pretty obvious to me so here are my guesses
– 5-model combo-unit Sisters infantry kit - Battle Sisters, Dominion and Retributor combo kit
– 3 model Sisters unit on 50mm bases kit -The unknown one, nothing in current fluff that sisters have that would require a 50mm base.
– 5 model Sisters unit on 32mm bases kit (different from the infantry unit listed above) - Seraphim and Celestian kit
– Sororitas combo unit vehicle kit “A” kit - Immolator and X Tank remake
– Sororitas combo unit vehicle kit “B” kit - Exorcist and X Tank remake
– Sororitas Walker/Monstrous Creature vehicle kit - Penitent Engine
– 3 clampack Sororitas characters - Canoness, Priest and Hospitaller

50mm base and/or 1 clampack could be some sort of Living Saint kit though, like Prosecutors and Celestant-Prime for Stormcast Eternals.
I would expect the Repentia to come in 10 girl boxes but I guess one of the 5 model boxes could be Repentia. If the above is true it'd mean we'd get a single box to create EVERYTHING the sisters have. That would be the equivalent if you put Tactical, Assault, Devastators, Sternguard and Vanguard SM in a single box with only 5 bodies (recasters would have a field day with such a kit selling bodies for days. They already make dual sets of bodies for all GW kits that make more than one thing).

We have got nice things, the announcement is fantastic. And I find it highly amusing how on the actual video Magnus and the plastic Thousand Sons seemed to have been dwarfed by the sheer amount of sisters comments. (and I love that picture by the way ). But anyone can see the trolls are just going to love stirring up in this thread going on now. How about making a wish listing thread in 40K general going on?

I think there's a greater chance of them getting a full ten model squad for the basic troops instead of five model deals.

But as I mentioned elsewhere: As much as I'd like to wishlist (plastic Living Saint would be neat though! ), the only stuff I think we can be certain of will be that the range will be updated, but within reason. Looking back to the Dark Eldar revamp from a few years ago, their entire range, bar a few models, was completely redone, but in such a way that it still looked like their ugly predecessors, just a million times better. I think we can expect the same here, as like it or not, the basic shape and design have become iconic over time: the sleeves and tabard, the weirdly shaped shoulder guards, the rosary string and the bulbs on the back of their power plants.

If anything, I can see a plastic living saint being a multi kit. one option to make Celestine, another to make a generic, unnamed saint. creates an extra HQ and gives them an excuse to up the price on Celestine at the same time.

They will clearly have some kind of flyer and their basic infantry squads will have some new ranged and melee weapons as this is what happens with every relaunch. Beyond that who knows? I don't put a lot of truck in the list above, two tank kits and THREE infantry kits? Naaaah. There's nothing wrong with the existing immolator and exorcist anyway and they're on the rhino chassis so don't hold your breath for much there

Here's how I think it would go:

10 woman box of sisters. makes either 10 basic sisters or celestians with a superior of course.
5 woman box that makes either dominions or retributors.
5 woman box of seraphim. I'd like to see a split option here to make the unit either shooty or have close combat.
Plastic saint. Making either Celestine or a generic saint.
Plastic cannoness, making either a cannoness or a palantine.
Re-issue of the immolator. making either the immolator or the rhino.
Dual plastic kit for the exorcist and repressor. again, it's a rhino at base, so it would only take one extra sprue.

Sisters already has such a flier, it's one of the best fliers in the game actually!

Spoiler:

Oh wait, it's the worst flier in the game. You can put some powerful guns on it but it CAN ONLY SNAPFIRE due to being a civilian aircraft...

As the sisters use the imperial navy and don't have aircraft of their own I'd love to see a plastic version of the Valkyrie Sky Talon. I could carry one of those crates GW released a while ago and contain 20 Sisters. Perhaps gunports on the sides of them to fire out of. Or it could carry 3 Penitent Engines as those have a hard time getting into CC due to being the easiest walker in the game to destroy. Easier to kill than Killa Kans and Scout Sentinels yet the Penitent Engine has to get into close combat whilst the other are both ranged walkers.

Sisters already has such a flier, it's one of the best fliers in the game actually!

Ahem:

The Avenger is a dedicated strike fighter, intended to conduct high-speed, low-level attacks on ground targets, with armoured vehicle formations and high-value strategic assets such as munitions dumps forming its principal prey. The Avenger Strike Fighter boasts firepower that exceeds most other Imperial aircraft of its size, and its particular reputation as a tank-killer is due to the Avenger bolt cannon it carries.

The Avenger is an ancient design, believed to originate on Ancient Terra sometime during the Age of Strife. It was adopted by forces loyal to the Divine Saint Sebastian Thor during the bloody wars of faith and schism now called the Age of Apostasy. Its effectiveness is such that it is now a staple of any Imperial Navy air support mission, holding a glamour of holy import in the wider Imperium. The Avenger is often specifically requested by the Adeptus Sororitas should they require close support in their purgations,

From the rumors here are my guesses
– 5-model combo-unit Sisters infantry kit - since they are not on 32mm base I would think these are the repentia
– 3 model Sisters unit on 50mm bases kit - centurion sisters
– 5 model Sisters unit on 32mm bases kit - battle sister kit that can turn into all sister variants (expensive as hell)
– Sororitas combo unit vehicle kit “A” kit - Immolator and Exorcist Tank remake
– Sororitas combo unit vehicle kit “B” kit - Sororitas Flyer
– Sororitas Walker/Monstrous Creature vehicle kit - Penitent Engine
– 3 clampack Sororitas characters - Canoness, Priest and Hospitaller

I hope I can save enough to get a sister army, dunno what I'm going to do with the tgg2 kickstarter girls i got :(

I can tell you this now any ten man box will be redemptionists or something similar. Doing so removes the need for priests to be a separate clamp pack. But I could be wrong and I'd be happy to be.

Simply put sisters require too many bits, to have a 10 figure box I highly suspect we get one box that makes 5 ground or 5 jump pack ladies .

The 3 figure box will possibly be a kind of archo flagellant and I highly suspect repentia will be hushed under the carpet.
