Tbh when I heard it I though it was an extremely hilarious joke by the warhammer world staff, who have been making plastic sisters of battle jokes for years now.... This however is clutching at straws..... it's obvious to tell he's talking about something completely different thus the 4-5 second gap between the "cool, this isn't released for months yet"..... "Plastic sisters of battle?".... hell his tone even changes.

While I wouldn't be surprised if GW's current mindset would indeed plastic sisters were on the way, knowing some of the WHW staff personally, this is equally likely to have been an epic troll.

This post is clutching at straws. You're trying to divorce the events in this video to justify your view when there is no real evidence for it. Nothing at all indicates the possibility of trolling except your predetermined expectations. These people are not WHW staff.

Not to mention that releasing a video which mentions plastic SOB, something which people have been clamouring for for over a decade, in such a way only to go "LOLZ totes jokes guys!" could almost be straight out of "How to Destroy any Goodwill in your Customers 101"

GW has spent all these rumor videos one upping the rumor leaks. If they are pulling a joke its counter productive and all the progress they've made is thrown out for ill will and distrust. I don't believe they'd do that.

If this is not a lie then SOB need to be updated with new bigger tanks and maybe an SOB Knight(ess)?

If they're going to get a centerpiece model it should be the Basilica, a superheavy which is half tank, half command center and half cathedral.

The idea that Sisters of Battle are going to get a knockoff from the Five Star Stories universe is pretty unlikely, given that Spaz Marinz don't even get Titans.

Oh, come on! A Nagano knock-off would *totally* fit with the 40K aesthetic!

On a more serious (and on-topic note), here's hoping that the Sisters bit is true. They're long overdue.

Can some reliable rumor mongers pass along the info we want Kroot at some point after the sisters?

My friend is super hyped for Sisters of Battle.

I don't need a "Sister Freak Show"... you have dark eldar and slaanesh for that. Let's hope GW does something different here.
Besides, I am the father to two lovely daughters who I am trying to share my love of miniature gaming with. The current line of sisters is great for showing powerful women who don't need to flaunt their sexuality (I also had great hopes for Captain Phasma... but I digress). Hopefully, Sisters can continue to be an army that I'm not ashamed to show my daughters (ours will have pink and purple streaks in their white hair... because, reasons."

Yet again, I'm sad, that some people see nudity only in context of sex.
Dark eldar and especially Slaanesh ARE sexualised. Dark eldar in a lesser manner. They do have the twisted "freak show" part of the codex, that's true, but not in the same sence, as SoB. DE are Frankensteins. SoB are religious fanatics akin to some medieval armies and anti-heresy institutions. Two different styles should be in place. I like the current line myself, but would also prefer it to have more penitent engine/repentia/ crazy priests and insane monks type and style of miniatures.

Is nudity shameful? What miniature game doesn't revolve around murder? Warhammer does either way. So it's weird, that we should go bonkers on killing in this universe, but exposed female nipples, backs and legs are a no-no.

If you want strong powerful women as a role model, that are not fictional murderers, there are many-many writers, poets, athletes..
But how "killing" and "role model" mix, I don't know. SoB really shouldn't be, with all the xenophobia, homicide and witch hunt..
If they're PG, kinda kills the fluff.

My apologies, slightly turning the topic off its track...

I'm very happy for SoB players! I might pick some SoB myself, if I like what I see.. But probably 500 points or something, to make it more of a painting experience, rather than large scale gaming one.

I hope the "massive monster riptide flyer 80 pounds kit" trend doesn't touch SoB.

It wont be earlier than Feb 2017 for SoB anyway, and with the current lack of SoB leaked info, end of 2017 is probably more likely the earliest date to expect them. Sad Panda and others would have posted about SoB if they were arriving sooner.

I don't know, how it can bother anybody TBH.. We do have crotch cups on SM armor, but no controversy there.

I doubt GW would release info for something to be released over year from now. More like spring.

I will wait for the reliable rumor sources to chime in. Currently there is a single GW comment and a lot of hype. Will it be a board game like Overkill? A complete overhaul of the SoB range? What new kits will they get? A flyer? New character models?

I'd certainly buy more than a kill team of SoB, especially if their missionary and priest buddies are more readily available than a handful on GW Direct. A small army at least. As long as their fantastic metal models are translated into plastic without needless redesign. The Heavy Bolter Sororita is one of my favs ever since my first GW flyer.

I never did because all metal arm as a kid, nope. As a teen I disliked the fact that the Inquisition decided to personally stroll onto the battlefield all the time and needed two codizes (with a rumoured third) instead of the shadow wars I liked.

Looking for a Skaven Doomwheel banner to repair my Nurgle knights.

I do believe there will be Sisters of Battle plastic models within the next 18 months. But we had reliable info about every major 40k and 30k GW release between 3 and 18 months in advance during the last two years, including Assassins, GSC, Deathwatch, Harlequins and Magnus - all turned out to be nearly 100% correct. It would be very surprising if Sisters of Battle are going to be different.

No. Just, all the no.

If Sisters need a Knight, they'll, you know, get an actual Knight, what with both being part of the Imperium and all. If the Mechanicus can get whole Households to swear fealty, I'm pretty sure the Ecclesiarchy could pull off the same.

Crazy cultists/militia? Great. A more tasteful but also significantly freakier version of Repentia(more body horror, less "girls who happen to be nude with strategically-placed scrolls")? Brilliant. Batgak-mental church organ tanks? Love it. Ludicrously OTT robo-penitants? Super. As long as they do the basic, bolter-wielding psychonuns justice I'm up for all of that extra crazy. But for the love of jeebus no more giant walker kits or character models that could fit into a blister but end up being sold as big boxed kits because they're floating 12 inches in the air on some ridiculous plastic swirl.

So you missed the screenies of Atia's blog comments confirming it then? No, we don't know exactly how they'll show up, but they're as confirmed as they're ever going to be until we see the WD.

I need to acquire plastic Skavenslaves, can you help?
I have a blog now, evidently. Featuring the Alternative Mordheim Model Megalist.

"The language of modern British politics is meant to sound benign. But words do not mean what they seem to mean. 'Reform' actually means 'cut' or 'end'. 'Flexibility' really means 'exploit'. 'Prudence' really means 'don't invest'. And 'efficient'? That means whatever you want it to mean, usually 'cut'. All really mean 'keep wages low for the masses, taxes low for the rich, profits high for the corporations, and accept the decline in public services and amenities this will cause'." - Robin McAlpine from Common Weal

Yeah agreed

I already have a Sister's themed Knight that is pledged to serve them as an ally. Plastic penitent engines are great.

A super heavy tank serving as a central command point would be cool - but happy to have FW do that. (again a friend has already done this)

I would not even mind a more generic St Celestine with various options as a "Living Saint" model - that could work as the floating giant model.

Yes, Atia confirmed it and she is reliable

What I meant/pointed out: We havent been given a release date and concrete infos yet. GW said it isnt soon.

GW's SoB comment is a nice first teaser, Atia's made me very happy, but I won't save money for them this year but next Until we have more info saying otherwise. I cannot see SoB arriving before the next board game.
